Accommodates large groups or families-an affordable alternative to hotel rooms in the area with a full eat in kitchen & privacy with 4 bedrooms. Enjoy the patio sipping your coffee and people watch or stroll to shops, restaurants in LA, play games, relax or ride the swan paddle boats in the park. Wi Fi & Roku TV too! I have lovingly restored my classic California bungalow with every modern amenity possible and filled it with my personal art all featuring the park.

Many classic movies and TV shows have been shot directly across the street-- you might even see a real TV or film being shot during your stay!

LOCATION

This home is in trendy Echo Park and convenient to Downtown Los Angeles, Dodger's Stadium, Staples Center, LA Convention Center, Disney Hall, film and recording studios as well as LA’s most popular tourist attractions: Universal Studios, Hollywood Walk of Fame, Elysian Park, Rose Garden Exposition Park home of the Space Shuttle, plenty of museums, LA Zoo, Griffith Observatory and Rose Bowl. It’s an hour to Disneyland and a half hour to Santa Monica Pier (depending on Traffic) and Magic Mountain

Stroll across the street to the park and stroll around the tranquil lake to the café, admire the flowers, ducks, ride the new swan paddle boats or play on the jungle gym area… or if you want to liven things up, just walk up one longer block to the vibrant, famous Sunset Boulevard and enjoy cozy cafes, great restaurants, cool stores or some of the hippest clubs and best music in all of LA. A grocery store, farmer’s market and pharmacy are also nearby.

The home is just a few blocks away from famous Carroll Avenue with beautiful homes such as the "Thriller House" and the house on "Charmed." (I have a self-guided architectural walking tour book you are welcome to use in my home) For those of you who love to bike, there is bike rental available directly across the street for just $7 a day.

HOME

The Lotus house is a charming home fully equipped with everything you could desire for a short or long term stay with four bedrooms (sleeps two people each), stocked and decked out kitchen, two full baths, dining area up to 10 people, WIFI, central AC/HEAT, USB charging ports, parking for up to three cars, a very comfortable living area with leather couches, fireplace, 55” ROKU TV (free movies Netflix and Amazon), board games, retro video games and even laser tag guns! The home has been set up for work, fun or just relaxing by the fireplace.

It is a lovely place to enjoy outdoor living and unplug – sip coffee or wine at sunset enjoying the the park view with lake, fountain and people watching with WIFI and USB plug-ins. The outdoor space is a mini oasis off the park with its own fire pit for making smores. Or if you prefer to tune in - there is WIFI, movies on a 4K 55" LED HD TV with Roku capable of watching Youtube, Netflix, Amazon Prime, HULU local apps + more. Plus, 130 Atari retro games or play Twister!!! And in case, you want more entertainment options, there is a 2nd 40” Roku TV with Rock 'em Sock 'em and other board games.

The home is a min-gallery of the owner with most of the art inspired by Echo Park Lake across the street.

KITCHEN
This is a home I stay in and since I am a bit of a foodie and wanna be chef, it is outfitted for longer stays and is great if you like to cook full- fledged meals (one of our guests cooked Thanksgiving dinner here) or are watching your travel budget and just want to heat up a pizza.

It is fully stocked with full size refrigerator with icemaker and water filter, dishwasher, vintage oven, convection/ microwave oven, toaster oven, full size coffee maker, gourmet pod coffee maker (pods and teas included), blender, mixer, champagne and wine glasses, coffee mugs, plates, bowls, glasses, silverware, mixing bowels, baking sheets, pizza sheet, lots of various pans, cooking utensil, measuring cups, wine opener, various size knives and cutting sheets,

I love to cook, but this place isn't fully equipped to be on Top Chef (yet) so if you really need a set of professional knives (only Farber knife set for now) or even a lemon zester I would love the excuse to go shopping and accommodate. Oh, darn! There are enough champagne and wineless stem glasses to host a tasting, but please no parties.

I stock the kitchen with plenty of coffee, teas, creamers, teas, hot chocolate, salt, pepper, herbs spices, sugar, cooking oils and various condiments.

BEDROOM ONE - “PARK ROOM”
California King Mattress with desk, dresser mirror and side table. This room is the largest of the four bedrooms. It features artwork inspired by Echo Park Lake across the street; hence it's name, "Park Room." The iron and ironing board is kept in the closet.

BEDROOM TWO/REC ROOM - “DUCK ROOM”
This room has two twin size adult beds. One is with a pop up twin trundle which is stored underneath the day bed-- so two twin full size adult beds and two large dressers, It has a 40" Roku TV and we are building our board game collection. Please be careful to not shorten your sight seeing activities with any Twister injuries. Above the bed is a painting featuring ducks in Echo Park Lake and another print (not mine) of a lady making a duck face, hence the name "Duck Room" It also has a child's play pen where a child can sleep though it is not full fledged crib. All the children’s toys and necessities are stored in the closet here

BEDROOM THREE - “LOTUS ROOM”
This room has a FULL SIZE bed... with a pull out single trundle. It is very cozy with a desk and full size dresser. This room can sleep three people. This room is called the Lotus Room and features my original art inspired by the flowers in the lake across the street.

BEDROOM FOUR - “LAKE ROOM”
Has a full size bed and can sleep two people. It features art surrounding Echo Park Lake; hence, the name "Lake Room."

LIVINGROOM/OTHER SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS
2 - Couches are comfortable enough for sleeping.
1- Air mattress with deluxe latex top
1 Single rolling cot can be provided upon request, but if you want it set up I will need 24 hours advance warning:-) This room has a 55" 4K Roku TV.


PARKING/TRANSPORTATION

Our place has on-site parking spots which is a premium for the area. It can park three cars and can accommodate passenger vans and even a small box truck, but it’s tight. There is also street parking and a paid parking lot just up the street toward Sunset Blvd.

Bike rental is across bike across the street, grab your rental car, Uber or Lyft (we are just 20 feet away from the bus stop (DASH) to the Sunset Strip.

BATHS

No need to bring toilet paper or towels. I wouldn’t expect a guest to ever bring these things to my home! I have lots of nice fluffy towels, epson salts, body wash, q-tips, shampoo, conditioner, cotton balls and other luxuries,

The main bath which has dual sinks and two pull out make-up shelves plus plenty of drawers to hold enough beauty supplies to satisfy the most demanding Diva. Or go to the funky, second bathroom and soak in the oversized tub big enough for two where nice fluffy white towels await you.

LAUNDRY

After a day of sight seeing, feel free to use the washer and dryer located just next to the kitchen... detergent provided.

You will IMMEDIATELY be asked to leave and forfeit the rest of your stay with no refund issued for any and all unused days. Any events or extra guests should be arranged for ahead of time prior to your stay. If you must party, there are several clubs in the area:)
Guest access
Guest have access to the whole house and front yard. Backyard is overgrown hillside... please do not use.
Other things to note
Park is newly renovated. Great for holiday or business. Close to DTLA and famous LA attractions. Film shoots happen regularly across the street. This house is one of the most comfortable and stocked short-term rental properties on the market, bar none. Please be respectful. NO UNAUTHORIZED GUESTS, MEETINGS, PARTIES, PETS, SHOOTS, LOUD NOISES OR tampering and/or disconnection of any of the outside security cameras --you will lose your security deposit and be and asked to leave immediately with NO reimbursement for the rest of you stay or return of your security deposit whether or not there are any damages.
