A lovely Beach cottage….Quaint, cute, & clean!

Enjoy your stay in our beautiful, clean, family friendly beach house. The house boasts a large deck with plenty of room to entertain or lay out and tan. The beach is just a block away and a very short walk. Sleeps 5-6 guests. The layout includes one bedroom with a queen size bed, one bedroom with 1 bunk bed and a twin bed with, a spare mattress underneath and a full size couch bed. Home includes new appliances, new mattresses, new bedding/linens, new dishes and mostly new furniture. There are two bathrooms and a lovely kitchen with everything you‘ll need for your stay. The house has a washer, dryer, ironing board and iron, hairdryer, coffee maker, Keurig (complimentary K-cups to get your day started right) and so much more. There are currently four TV’s with satellite, wifi, DVD player and a library of DVD’s to view and unwind at night or to occupy the little ones. For those rainy days, we have a few games for you to enjoy as well. If you have never visited Surf City Beach, you are in for a treat!! The beach is gorgeous and clean and the views and local life are unmatched!


The walk to the beach is short but if you have your hands full or aren’t able to walk there is a public beach access with parking only a couple hundred yards away.

Free parking in front of beach house, fits 3-4 vehicles.

Absolutely wonderful!

Loved our trip and stay!

Really enjoyed the location, deck and home. Came across some roofing nails on the ground by the trash cans (recent work) but nothing a magnet sweeper can’t take care of. Interior was great. Full size bed was a bit too small for my wife and I, but we really enjoyed our time!

We have notified the roofing company of the nails and will have this issue fixed. We are also looking at changing the bed to a queen during the winter months. Thank you!

Perfect family vacation

My family of 5 had a perfect summer family vacation. It was a very short walk to the beach. The beds were very comfortable. My kids enjoyed the movies and toys included. The owner responded immediately with the couple of questions I had. Highly recommend. We hope to return here in the future!

Perfect getaway!

We were searching last minute for a house that would accommodate our family of 4 and our dogs. Sarah’s place did not disappoint. The house is sparkling clean and literally has everything you need for your stay. The beach is a super short walk and the community is so pleasant. We loved sitting in the porch listening to the ocean and you can see the ocean between the houses. Sarah was prompt with communication and answered all of my questions. We hope to stay again!

Great vacation with our Goldens!

We loved our stay at this cute little beach house! Its a short walk to the beach and we could go back and forth easily with our two Golden Retrievers! The covered front deck and sunny side deck were great for them as well. It has a gate that latches at the top of the stairs to keep them or kids from going down! And you can actually see the ocean through the houses :) Sarah, the owner was great and always responded to my questions almost immediately! We would definitely come back!

Quiet get away

The property is clean, nicely decorated and perfect for kids and adults alike. The porch was one of our favorite places to hang out. Loved having coffee on the porch and listening to the ocean. They provided games for the kids, a wagon, beach chairs and umbrella and tons of beach towels. The beach is so quiet and very family friendly. It is one block to the beach so we just walked there. This place is a gem and we hope to be back. Hosts are AMAZING. We noticed that the beach umbrella had been left broken and when we told them they drove over with a new sunshade that day! Lovely home and lovely people.

Wonderful family stay

We didnt know how perfect the place would be, but it had everything for a family stay. Movies and toys for children and games. A great kitchen. The outside shower worked great for a 3rd shower. The outside deck was covered and big. And even though it is 2nd street from beach you can still see the ocean some and deffinietly hear it. The place is clean and very roomy and comfortable for family lounging or if you need an air bed for a surprise family member. They even have an extra matress if needed in the bunk room. The neighborhood was quiet. The beach is tourist friendly too with plenty of beach access and even gazebos to sit on. We could not have been more pleased. The owners were easy to get in touch with and there was plenty of linen and towels and paper products and the friendly extras in case you forgot salt and pepper etc. We would deffinitely stay there again!!

Another Great Stay

Stayed here last year and had such a good time we decided to do it again this year. The house was just as nice as we remembered and that made it easy to enjoy our vacation. Hosts were responsive and super helpful. Would not hesitate to recommend their property! Thanks again!

Perfect beach rental for 4

Great location. 1-2 minute walk to the beach. Nicely updated house that was perfect for 2 adults and 2 teens. Large outdoor area was perfect at night. Owner was easy to deal with and very accommodating. All questions promptly responded to. Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful place near beach access

Our stay was wonderful. The house was as described in the listing. The walk to the beach was very short! We had looked on the map and were pleasantly surprised by how short the walk was. We had expected to walk a bit farther. The wagon that’s provided to carry beach equipment to/ from the beach made the trip even easier! We loved our stay and would return!

More than expected!

This place was just what we needed for the getaway my colleagues and I were looking for! It’s even closer to the beach than expected, a short walk from one of the few bars on topsail and close to the bridge/access to stores, etc. There were great accommodations inside with everything we needed (coffee pot, cooking utensils, extra beds etc) and not to mention, it felt very clean and inviting. The hosts were communicative after a bad storm that knocked out the wifi which I appreciated. I would definitely rent this location again!

Perfect family getaway

Another great family vacation in the books, Topsail never disappoints! The house is in a great neighborhood and close to a beautiful beach. Anything that you should need from kitchen amenities to fun in the sun, makes this a great home away from home.

Perfect house for a family

House is small but very cozy and clean. Inside is renovated and kept in a good condition. The owner had plenty of coffee, cleaning products and laundry detergent which made it easy to keep the area clean. The owner let us use beach chairs, beach toys and boards which was so nice! There are movies, toys and games for kids in the house and my kids loved it. House is located block away from the beach and I had no problem walking with my kids. The owner is easy to deal with and very responsive. We had great experience and will go back!

Everything You Need

This place was just what we needed and we would definitely stay here again. We usually stay in S Topsail but we really like the quiet neighborhood and the short bike ride to Surf City. The layout of the house was great and I really liked the 2 private bathrooms.

Home away from home

Sarah and Michael are great hosts. They responded in a timely manor to any questions or concerns we had during our visit. The house and neighborhood are so nice and quiet, with super easy/close beach access. The few neighbors we talked to are very friendly and willing answer any questions you may have. Between the provided kitchen essentials and the beach essentials you don't need to bring tons of extras. Make sure you bring beach towels, but boogie boards, beach cart and more are available. Surf City has an IGA on the island to get groceries, and there is also a small Walmart and Food Lion across the bridge. If you don't feel like doing much cooking, there are many local spots to grab a bite in Surf City. Shaka Taco and Hot Diggity Dog are just a few that we tried for a quick bite. For the little ones there is the Touch Tank Aquarium and the Sea Turtle hospital to go to. We also took time to trek to the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences in Raleigh and the Aurora Fossil Museum in Aurora, both are free and you can learn so much about the area. The science museum is great if it is a rainy day, the fossil museum has two dig pits and you will find tons of shells, shark teeth, coral, etc. This was our first time to stay in North Carolina, and will most definitely not be the last. For us Tops'l is the perfect balance of touristy bussle and quiet locals.

Lovely House

Very nice property. It was exactly as advertised: newly remodeled, quaint, cute and clean. One street away from the beach, in a quiet neighborhood, with very nice neighbors. I highly recommend this property.
