Cat Creek is a unique and historic one-of-a-kind property. Originally a homestead cabin & casita, it's now beautifully remodeled & a perfect place for people who love the romantic 360 degree top view of the desert and mountains, yet 5 minutes from town. You'll love the patio dining views, the exquisite landscaping, the new adorable outdoor shower and complete privacy of this amazing private jewel get-away!
A highlight of Cat Creek is the spectacular view from the casement windows that open to serve the patio for outdoor dining overlooking the sparkling lights of the valley below. The Cat Creek cabin is a designer studio style (sleeping area with queen-size bed divided by half wall open to living room). It has a newly remodeled kitchen with full-sized refrigerator, oven, microwave, toaster, and blender.
For more sleeping space, the cute detached bedroom can be rented for an extra $40 per person. The shared one bathroom is in main cabin.
The cabin has a large flat-screen TV on cable, internet and beautiful Mexican saltillo floors, all on 2 1/2 private acres.
The cabin is a short 5 minute drive to El Paseo shopping (the Rodeo Drive of the desert), markets, golf, parks, hiking trails and countless fine restaurants. The Tennis Gardens at Indian Wells are a 15 minute drive away. The Palm Desert Street Fair is 3 miles from your door. Enjoy a day going up the famous Palm Springs tram or hiking in the Indians Canyons, or right outside the cabin door! The Coachella Fest, Stagecoach, concerts & plays are held at nearby.
Enjoy the stunning sunrise with your morning coffee/tea, the spectacular colorful sunsets, and the multiple cliffside seating spots for romantic viewing of the moonrise and city lights in the mild magical evenings!

Spectacular Cabin with tremendous vista

Cat Creek Cabin is marvelous. Indescribable view over the Coachella Valley. Secluded but 5 mins to downtown Palm Desert. Lovely grounds. Quaint homestead cabin & beautiful casita. Wonderful stay. Owners are very attentive and helpful. We hope to be back again & again.

On our 2nd stay at this unique, creative, expansive view property we once again felt right at home. The Living Desert and all of Palm Desert amenities are an easy close drive. We are so happy we booked our first trip to Palm Desert at the fabulous Cat Creek Cabin. The property is wonderful, as well as the history surrounding it. Gorgeous desert gardens, lovely patios and stunning views. The hosts are warm and welcoming. You can't get much better than this!

Perfect!

From the minute we met Gail and heard her story and the history of the cabin we knew we had chosen the perfect place for our stay. We spent most of our time outside on the spacious patio and evenings around the fire pit. The views are unmatched. Getting up for the sunrise is a must, but if you miss it, the sunsets are equally beautiful. Inside the cabin is cozy and comfortable. It is well stocked with everything you will need. The casita was perfect for our 2 adult children. Gail was readily available for any questions or needs. Donā€™t think twice about booking!

Desert Splendor

Theme music from The Good then Bad and the Ugly might as well be playing everytime you step out of this beautifully renovated historic desert homestead. I can't quite put into words the connection I instantly felt for the place and surrounding desert. Maybe it's because I'm from the east coast, or possibly my love for Marty Robbins gunfighter ballads that made me feel so at home here. We traveled all around California and each place was beautiful but I know for a fact we will be back to visit this amazing property and amazing host. Thank you.

Gail was such a gracious and wonderful host and it is incredible what she has built in this beautiful, recluse neighborhood. If you want to get off the beaten path to tranquility and beauty this is the place for you. We would have stayed longer here if we could have. We will be back.

Excellent. Gorgeous view, wonderful location. Gail and George are a great couple , helpful and very interesting to visit with. The only thing I would ask for is hotter water and increased pressure in the shower. Otherwise a perfect stay.

Beautiful Palm Desert Oasis

This beautiful Cahuilla Hills property was the perfect place to stay for my husband's and my 20th wedding anniversary. Our host, Gail met us upon arrival and gave us a tour of all of the wonderful upgrades she and her family have made to the casitas and grounds. It is clear that a lot of love and attention went into making this a true oasis for the mind, body and spirit. The casitas are well-appointed. The gardens are stunning and attract a large variety of birds, which was wonderful for us bird-watching types. The views of the mountains and valley were amazing. It was truly one of the nicest places we ever stayed. We look forward to returning!

Desert Delight

This, once upon a time, homestead home is now the most charming, rustic hide-a-way in the hills of Palm Desert. Perfectly spotless inside and out! The interior decor is comfortable, creative & unique and the exterior landscape of natural plantings is thought out beautifully and perfectly maintained. And the property has a view we could not take our eyes off of!!!! It is also an easy drive to The Living Desert or downtown Palm Desert.....My husband and I highly recommend a stay here for a private, quiet and very special place to take a break!!!!

What an amazing hidden gem!

The property owner Gail was incredible and the house and surroundings were very charming. This rustic cabin is perched high above the valley and has wonderful views. Peaceful but within minutes of excellent shopping. Thanks!

Quiet, beautiful, peaceful and connected are the words I would use to describe this Jewel of a Cabin. My friend and I stayed here over Coachella weekend and can I say it was difficult to leave each day to attend the festival. We loved everything about this space and will definitely be back again.
