MODERN MOUNTAIN RETREAT is the premier vacation rental home because it has everything you could possibly want in a Lake Lure getaway, including FANTASTIC WIRELESS INTERNET SERVICE. This extraordinary custom log sided home is nestled in a private .73 acre wooded setting at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in Rumbling Bald Resort in Lake Lure. This 3,700sf tri level home features 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, fire pit, game room, and spectacular outside living area.

HOT TUB NOTE: This listing indicates a hot tub. NOTE the Hot Tub is a COMMUNITY AMENITY and is not located at the home.

There are no worries about getting to this home. It's located in a resort community with paved roads all the way to the home. Once there, parking is level. Unloading luggage and groceries is easy, as there are only four stairs to enter the home. Once inside, experience the WOW factor. You will be immediately mesmerized by the décor and open inviting floor plan. Set your bags down and let's explore.

The living room features a gas log fireplace, gorgeous wood floors, comfortable sofa and love seat that reclines, wall mounted flat screen TV, plenty of seating for everyone, and doors to a full length deck. On the deck you will find a gas barbeque, table and four chairs covered by a large umbrella, a second table with two additional chairs, and a gorgeous wooded view.

You will find a fully equipped kitchen featuring stainless steel appliances, electric stove and oven, microwave, side by side refrigerator freezer, dishwasher, double sink, toaster, KEURIG and drip coffee pot, a variety of cookware, and enough dishes for the group. There is plenty of counter space for meal preparation, and tons of cabinets. There is even a kitchen island breakfast bar with four high chairs for casual dining or conversation with the Chef. Serving meals is simple, as the formal dining area is just steps away from the kitchen. The dining room table seats eight, with the additional seating at the breakfast bar nearby.

The main floor Master Suite has king bed, nightstand with reading lamp, large dresser with mirror, flat screen TV, walk in closet, ceiling fan, tray ceiling, and doors to the deck. The private master bathroom has separate dual vanities each with sink and mirror, and luxurious soaking tub. There are two additional Guest Rooms on the main level. The first has a queen bed, and the second has a twin bed with a crib. These two rooms are separated by a large Guest Bathroom with tub and shower. Work while on vacation at the main level desk.

Upstairs is a second living area, which makes this vacation home great for a larger group or extended family. A large sectional sofa and side chair surround a big flat screen TV. While some people watch television, others can play games at the table with four chairs. In the open area upstairs is a futon couch, and a twin bed. But wait, there's more. A fourth bedroom upstairs features a queen bed, TV, and closet. All these bedrooms and extra beds offers the sleeping flexibility needed for large groups. There is even a full bathroom upstairs with dual vanities and tub with shower.

The best is yet to come; let's go downstairs. The huge game room is where memories will be made. Choose from foosball table, ping pong table, or pool table. While some play games for hours, others can watch the flat screen TV from the sofa and love seat. A laundry room with washer and dryer is also downstairs. A door from the Game Room leads to a giant private back yard with fire pit and chairs. WOW!

This home is located in Rumbling Bald Resort at Lake Lure, and renters get to enjoy all the amenities of the Resort. Amenities include restaurants, sports bar, beach, tennis courts, pickle ball, indoor and outdoor pools, lazy river, volleyball, golf, mini golf, spa, salon, fitness center, and so much more!

AREA THINGS TO DO_____________________________

Lake Lure Beach is just 5 minutes away, complete with water slides and a splash pad! The main Town of Lake Lure marina offers boat rentals, daily tours, and dinner cruises. River tubing, zip-lining, gem-mining, horseback riding and rock climbing are all within a short distance of the house. The area also boasts 2 beautiful golf courses for those looking to venture out onto the green. Hike Chimney Rock State Park for a breathtaking view. Or explore the charming little town of Chimney Rock with riverfront breweries, Burntshirt Bistro and tasting room, only 15 minutes away.

For any grocery needs, Ingles Market is a large fully stocked grocery store with deli, bakery, wine, and beer, along with a Starbucks and Pharmacy. The towns of Hendersonville, Flat Rock, Black Mountain, and Asheville (The Biltmore Estate) are between 45 minutes to an hour's drive depending on traffic. Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC) offering world class equestrian events throughout the year is a short 20-minute drive. the Towns of Columbus and Tryon are also a short drive away.

NC VACATION RENTAL STANDARDS

First, be aware that the North Carolina Vacation Rental Act provides you with certain rights and protections. Second, we would like to make you aware of a few local regulations designed to promote a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY LIMITS: The maximum occupancy limit for this home is 12 persons. You must provide us with the number of people and vehicles in your group. Violation of occupancy rules are grounds for immediate eviction with no refund, and fees will be charged to your credit card to cover any damages.

DESIGNATED PARKING: Vehicles must be parked only in designated areas on the vacation rental property. Parking in the roadway blocking the flow of traffic and parking on neighbor's property without permission are prohibited. There is parking for 3-4 vehicles at this property. No RV's trailers, campers, or oversized vehicles of any kind.

ACCESS: You will receive directions and access information once we have received a signed rental agreement securing reservation (this agreement will be sent to you for electronic signature) you will also need to provide a copy of your government issued ID to our company with current mailing address and contact information along with vehicle registration of each vehicle that will be at the home during your stay. You will be emailed check-in instructions 24 hours prior to arrival provided you have signed your electronic rental agreement and sent in a copy of your photo ID and vehicle information. If you go to a property prior to approval from our office before check in time you will be accessed an early check-in fee $50.

TRASH DISPOSAL: All household waste & trash must be placed in receptacles considered to be animal proof (e.g., durable with secured lids) when available unless advised otherwise due to increased bear activity.

MINIMUM AGE: You must be at least 25 years of age to reserve a rental property and sign this lease and must also be a guest at the property during the entire term of the stay. You must present a valid government ID at time of check in. If you are not 25, you will NOT be allowed to check in and no refund will be provided.

NO HOUSE PARTIES: We do not accept reservations from sororities, fraternities, spring-break parties, bachelor / bachelorette / wedding parties, graduation parties, or ANY similar groups unless approved at time of reservation. Mr. Lake Lure Vacation Rentals works very closely with local law enforcement to patrol our rental homes, and report to us any occupancy violations. Any violation of this rule mandates you immediately vacate home without refund, regardless of the remaining duration of your reservation.

FIRE PROTECTION FOR YOUR SAFETY: Fire Extinguisher and Evacuation Plan -This home is equipped with working fire extinguishers and a posted evacuation plan. Removing any of these from their designated location is prohibited. Avoid storing items not to block hallways, doorways, steps, entrances and exits. Small Outdoor Fires - When an area burning ban is in effect, bonfires are prohibited. Contact your rental home's property manager for information on any burning bans. Outdoor fires are only permitted in a place and manner approved by the Fire Chief.

LAKE ACTIVITIES: Swimming: Do not swim farther than 50 feet from shore unless accompanied by an observer in a boat.

FISHING: A North Carolina fishing license is required, and all state fishing regulations apply.

BOATING: If a boat is provided with this rental home, please ask for and review the pamphlet entitled “Lake Regulations & Map”. If you wish to utilize your own boat on the lake, a permit is required and can be obtained at Town Hall or at the town marina.

PERSONAL CONDUCT: Trespassing - Venturing onto a neighboring dock or pier, boat house or property without the owner's permission is prohibited.

NO SMOKING: Smoking, Vaping and Electronic cigarettes are prohibited in all our vacation rental homes. You will be assessed an additional cleaning fee if it is discovered you have been smoking and/or vaping in the home of $500. We ask that all smokers stay a minimum of 10 ft from any open window or door, do not stand near open doors or windows allowing smoke to enter the home while smoking on property. Please make sure butts and ashes are not left behind. Discard the butts and ashes in the outside garbage. Do not throw butts on the ground (including the fire pit) or bring them into the home. If there is any tobacco smell in the home after your departure, there will be a minimum $500 charge. Oil lamps and incense are not permitted due to the long-lasting odor. If these policies are violated, there will be a charge for excessive cleaning.

NOISE: Unreasonably loud noise is prohibited throughout the Town. Please observe quiet hours after 10 p.m. and be aware that sound carries very far over a still lake.

UNRULY BEHAVIOR: Behavior deemed disorderly and causing a disturbance to the public is prohibited. These regulations will be strictly enforced.

SECURITY CAMERA LOCATIONS: Please be advised our homes have forward facing entry area security cameras. We monitor for non-reported pets, over occupancy and number of vehicles.

PETS/ANIMALS: PETS/ANIMALS are NOT ALLOWED in this home. If you are found to be in violation of this rule you will be required to vacate the property and forfeit the remainder of your stay. You will also be assessed a fine of $500 for the violation. No refunds will be given!

RENTAL AGREEMENT AND TOTAL BALANCE: You will be required to sign a vacation rental agreement before your reservation is secured. Failure to sign rental agreement with-in 72 hours of booking, will result in cancellation of reservation and forfeiture of deposit. Any monies received by Mr Lake Lure Vacation Rentals for occupancy of vacation property indicated the acceptance of the terms of our vacation rental agreement in full. Your total amount listed on the Mr Lake Lure® Vacation Rental Agreement may be different than the amount paid to the 3rd party site you book through. All third-party sites charge differing amounts as service fees to guests for using their services. We have no control over those fees and do not collect them.

Please read your vacation rental agreement carefully before you begin your vacation. All policies are strictly enforced. It is the responsibility of all guests and members of their party to be familiar with all policies pertaining to rental.

ALL PROPERTIES OFFER AN INITIAL SUPPLY OF THE FOLLOWING AMENITIES:

Including, but not limited to: bed linens and bath towels (2 bath towels and 2 washcloths per Guest, 2 hand towels per bathroom sink), dishwasher detergent (2 loads) and dishwashing soap, new sponge, laundry detergent (2 loads), hand soap, (1 set per bathroom sink, including hotel size: 1 bar of soap, 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner and 1 lotion), paper towels (1 roll), toilet paper (2 rolls per bathroom), and garbage bags (2 kitchen bags, plus 2 black bags). If you don't feel this will be adequate for your stay, you will want to stop and pick up more on your way. All properties provide fully equipped kitchens or kitchenettes, including coffee makers as well as some cooking utensils. Locked pantries and closets are reserved for the use of the Property Owner and are not accessible to Guest. Rearranging furniture or removing any items from the Property is prohibited.

ITEMS YOU WILL/MAY WANT TO BRING FOR YOUR STAY:

Extra folding chairs, beach towels, shampoos/ body soaps, hair dryers, basic cooking condiments, tin foil, plastic wrap, food storage containers, coffee, board games, fishing poles & tackle, floats, life preservers for toddlers/infants, golf clubs.

CHECK OUT: 10:00 a.m. local time (or earlier) NO EXCEPTIONS. Housekeeping will arrive very shortly after 10:00 a.m. to prepare the home for the next Guest. Late check-outs will be charged the applicable daily rate or $50 per hour, whichever is greater to the credit card on file if the home has not been vacated by 1:00 pm.

*** Lake Lure will be undergoing a drawdown starting January 1st, through the first quarter (March 31st). The lake will begin to be lowered by approximately 1 foot per day until 12 feet has been reached. Infrastructure maintenance, dredging, and dam projects will be expedited during this time frame. These efforts by the Town of Lake Lure may affect access to the lake and restrict any lake usage. The lake will likely be back up to normal levels by mid to late April. No personal watercraft will be allowed on the lake during this time. While we understand this is an inconvenience, this does allow you to enjoy the full beauty of Lake Lure in the fall and holiday season. For more information about the annual lake drawdown, please contact the Town of Lake Lure.

Cozy yet spacious find
This house was perfect for our long weekend getaway with 6 teens. It boasts 3 different sitting areas and the game room was a huge hit. Plenty of room at the large dining room table and island! We would stay here again. I so appreciated the clear communication with the property manager, as well.

Exactly as advertised
There were a total of three couples on our weekend getaway. The house was large enough for each couple to have their own space and the common areas were easily accommodated all of us. When we've stayed in the area in the past, the home's we've rented always had amazing mountain views. When we booked I thought this would be a drawback to this property, but I was wrong. Although we didn't have those classic views, the piece and tranquility of being surrounded by nature was an experience all in itself. I highly recommend this property.

Beautiful place with plenty of room
This place was very well appointed with comfortable beds and more than enough room to accommodate 6 teenagers who loved the ping pong table and the pool table. Location was convenient to the lake. We had a problem with the grill one night and it was replaced the very next day. Great communication regarding check-in, check out, and any hiccups along the way. Loved the facilities at the resort and used all of them. Didn’t feel overcrowded and we went during a busy week of July. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it. The only things to be aware of: 1) very steep driveway—manageable but may be difficult for some vehicles 2) You are not really close to a grocery store or restaurants (though there is a convenience store close by for things you’ve forgotten) but you’ll want to hit the grocery store 20 minutes away before you get to the house. 3) We were disappointed in the supplies of the kitchen. Clearly it was well-stocked at some point, and there were lots of plates and cups, but the other supplies appear picked through and some crucial things were missing: a baking pan, a sharp knife, grilling utensils, etc. We made it work, but will likely need to be refreshed soon. 4) When you’re reading about bears as part of the paperwork when you first enter—This is for real. Do not put any garbage outside in the garbage can. We had a bear right up under the porch the first night (our own fault), but clearly he’s been there before. Overall a great trip!

Lake Lure getaway!
The trip was great! We enjoyed the house, especially the basement area. I have only two small complaints. First, one bedroom has only a twin with a crib, not great when everyone in your party is a couple. Also, Rumbling Bald is a nice area but there are no towels provided at the beach area. It would be great to have beach towels at the house, in light of that.

CHECK IN: 4:00 p.m., local time (or later) You will receive directions and access information once we have received a signed rental agreement securing reservation (this agreement will be sent to you for electronic signature) you will also need to provide a copy of your government issued ID to our company with current mailing address and contact information along with vehicle registration of each vehicle that will be at the home during your stay. You will be emailed check in instructions 24 hours prior to arrival provided you have signed your electronic rental agreement and sent in a copy of your photo ID and vehicle information. If you go to a property prior to approval from our office before check in time you will be accessed an early check-in fee $50.
CHECK OUT: 10:00 a.m. local time (or earlier). Housekeeping will arrive very shortly after 10:00 to prepare the home for the next Guest. Late check-outs will be charged the applicable daily rate or $50 per hour, whichever is greater to the credit card on file unless prior arrangements are made, and the aforementioned fee is paid, if the home has not been vacated by 1:00 pm.
