Numerous first class mountain biking trails - Old Coach Road 42nd Traverse, Fishers Track to name a few or hiking and enjoying this fabulous National Park - Tongariro Crossing (best 1 day hike in NZ). Tennis & Squash courts in Ohakune, so bring your rackets. There is plenty to occupy you in this mountain town along with great coffee and eating.
