Very comfortable interior with a spiral staircase between the 2 levels. Nicely appointed kitchen with a very large bar/dining area perfect for an oyster feast! Enjoy the sound of the surf at night on one of the finest beaches on the NC Coast! Step off the deck almost directly onto the beach, catch the next best wave, throw in a line for the freshest seafood, or give yourself the tan of a lifetime. Very clean house in an awesome location with unique layout. This house was good overall for our family. Pros - location, oceanfront and clean. Cons - spiral staircase inside is tricky with small kids and dogs. Pool is very small and really only good for small kids. Would stay again.

Wonderful oceanfront rental

Second time staying with PDL - first time Seas the Day. Love the access to the ocean and location on the crystal coast overall. Enjoyed the pool too, perfect for our family.

NC Seafood Festival stay!!

The house was perfect all the way around. The size for 5 adults staying and 5 adults visiting & sharing a meal. The short walk out back to the beach, the sunrise & being so close to so many restaurants. We enjoyed the NC Seafood Festival while we were there!!

First time to Emerald Isle.

We were there the first week of September, the crowds were gone, and it was great! The house was an older style beach house, it was charming and well apportioned a very distance to the beach with perfect view of the ocean. While the pool had limited sun after 12pm, it was ideal to cool down in after a fun day in the sun.

Wonderful vacarion

Even though we were visiting during the tropical storm, Debbie, we had a wonderful time! The rain didn’t stop us from enjoying go carts, ice cream, the beach, fort Macon and the aquarium! We got out on the beach when it was nice and were sad we had to leave. We loved the cottage and had everything we needed! We appreciated not having to bring our own beach chairs and being able to use the available sand toys for the kids! Thank you again for having us!

Family Beach Vacation

My family and I recently stayed at this beach house, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The house sits directly on the beachfront, offering stunning ocean views and easy access to the sand and surf. It was impeccably clean and exceptionally well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable vacation. The attention to detail in the amenities made it feel like a true home away from home. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and will definitely be returning for future vacations. Highly recommended!

Wonderful

Excellent location with less crowded beaches. Older home with everything you need and the location is a great oceanfront property. The pool is an added bonus, it’s a small pool but excellent for a break from the ocean or for smaller children. Nothing bad to say and we really enjoy our first trip to Emerald Isle. Only recommendations would be to replace the kitchen faucet with one with a sprayer as the sink is hard to clean out, especially if you enjoy cooking as we do. The only other thing would be to get a proper fitting blind in the dining area. We would recommend and would definitely stay again, maybe 2 weeks next time!

Family Time

This property was very cute and accommodating to our family’s needs. The proximity to the beach was amazing and it was very private due to distance from public beach access points. The only negative we had was garbage pick up dates. When families leave on Saturday, they filled the one trash bin available and the first pick up for our stay wasn’t until Monday. Settling in we had a lot of boxes and trash to get rid of right from the start. The second pick up wasn’t until Friday, 4 days later, which was too long of a gap for an family if 12+. This then caused us to fill the trash bin on our check out and leave the same problem for the next guest coming in.

Great location!!

We had an amazing stay at this vacation house. Plenty of room for 4 adults and 3 children and some fur babies. The view every morning was one of the best parts. We could sit on the deck and watch the kiddos play in the sand on the beach! Loved it!!

Perfect location

The house could not be in a more perfect location, just steps away from the beach. Half our stay had beautiful weather, letting us use the pool and ocean. The other half was rainy, cold, and windy forcing us to stay inside. But sitting inside at this house, looking out at the views, still beats sitting inside anywhere else. First family vacation in years did not disappoint!

An Epic vaca

The house is literally steps from the beach. In the high chairs on the porch you see over the rails and right to ocean. We saw dolphins. Baby sea turtles hatched very close to us and the only rainy day produced double rainbow over the ocean. Only suggestion is more high chairs. Only two so that’s not enough and the pool stays COLD even in august. Maybe doesn’t get enough sun between houses. Epic vacation though.

Great ocean front cottage

We had a great experience staying in this cottage. Our group was 6 adults, which was the perfect fit. The location truly couldn't be better - right on the beach and in the middle of the island, so it was easy to go either toward Atlantic Beach and vicinity or the main area of Emerald Isle. This is an older cottage that has been thoughtfully updated. The spiral staircase would be difficult for older folks or anyone with mobility issues to navigate. As others have noted, the access to the pool requires going outside -- I didn't think that was an issue, but some may. Well stocked equipment in kitchen. Everything was clean. My only real complaints would be the towels were kind of gray -- formerly white towels that had been washed a million times and one of the downstairs bathrooms had an extremely small kind of dank shower. Overall, it was a great experience with an unbeatable location and I would stay here again.

Loves and dislikes

We loved our first visit to Emerald Isle and the location of the house. Loves - Aaron, maintenance. The A/C was not working when we arrived I was disappointed this had not been reported to management. I called Aaron and we discussed how to handle. I told him to not worry, that we would just use the fans and open the windows. Aaron kept me constantly updated and offered to bring out portable A/C units. I declined. Busy Bee put in a new system on the third day. Dislikes - no call from management about the problem A/C. Yes, I spoke with Aaron but I would have expected a call from the office. A coupon for a discount on ice cream would have gone a long way those first couple of days.
