We had to book this very last minute because our condo was damaged in the hurricane. I admit, I did not have much time to do my due diligence. This unit is rather old but in decent shape. Great location with nice pier to fish from

Lazy pelican west

Had the best time place was spacious for 9 people, the private beach to the bay was amazing on red flag days and the beach was just across the road with a decked walkway. The pier and gazebo for fishing. Just topped it off! Will Def be back.

Great Vacation

My family loves this place because of the pier for fishing and easy access to the beach. The house is clean easily accessible to stores and restaurants. Highly recommend it.

Great Place

Ocean beach just across the main road. We had 5 adults & one infant and had plenty of room. Would definitely stay there again!

Great family get away!

It was the perfect place for a weekend away! We did not go anywhere! Everything we needed was right there!

Rested and Relaxed

Loved the location in the lagoon with private beach & dock! House was very clean… I would have preferred a “homier” feel with the furniture/furnishings. Would have been nice to have access to kayaks on the property, too. Overall- we had what we needed and really enjoyed our stay- thank you!

Awesome place. Very Clean. It could use some updated pots and pans. iTrip people were very friendly and and came over almost immediately on a couple of issues. Very nice place

Great Get Away

Loved the location and access to the Little Lagoon and the sandy area for the kids. There is no partition on the deck. That would’ve been nice. But the house was clean and well stocked. The beds were comfortable and so were the pillows.

The house its self was ok. Did not really accommodate a large group or family. Had a very small grill which takes twice as long to make meals. Only one dish rag for a whole wk so it has to be washed continuously. Housewares were very old and nothing matches. Everything I cooked in a pan got stuck and was very hard to clean. No broom to sweep so had to use a vacuum which can only be done when the baby isn’t sleeping. Found an old baby bottle under the couch with rotten milk in it. Location was great for fishing and close to the beach. Couch and footstool were very used, looked almost like it came from a goodwill. Would be very nice if some money was put into the house to bring everything up to date. Would be nice to use the deck outdoors if there was some shade/ cover from the sun and weather. Also no grilling utensils, only a wire brush. I was happy with the location but it’s not enough to make me wanna book another stay.

Rest and reset

We had a good stay. Overhead light in the kitchen was burned out. Downstairs toilet needed TLC. We didn’t call maintenance because we didn’t want anyone in the house while we were not there. Nice place, great location. Super enjoyable private bay beach. Neighbors were friendly enough. We had to buy a gate to separate the porch, we brought our dogs and there was no separation. We will book again.

I would say this is a nice place to stay being that it is on the lagoon. Fishing was fun off the pier. One can walk to the beach but it isn’t just a few steps. It had a couple maintenance issues, the grass was tall and they used a weed-eater to cut it down the second day, after I emailed them to please cut it. I felt like it should have been cut when we arrived. The back door handle was broken when we arrived which they would have fixed but we didn’t want maintenance disrupting our vacation. I am not complaining because overall we had a great stay. I would recommend it.

Wonderful

This was our second stay at The Lazy Pelican. Both times were relaxing, and the house is perfectly situated on the lagoon. We experienced gorgeous sunrises, and as the gulf surf was rough that week, the quieter surf on the lagoon side was perfect for the kids!! They have fun searching for hermit crabs and splashing, and we adults didn’t have to “hover” over the toddler. My husband is recovering from knee replacement, so the bedroom on the first floor was helpful! There was a baby gate, as well, which we used at the top of the stairs.
