Come to Camden Cottage for your Best Vacation Evah!

Come for a relaxing getaway at Camden Cottage in Old Orchard Beach, Maine! This charming single family home in a quiet residential neighborhood is a short 7-minute walk to the beach or into town to all the delights of the pier. Freshly painted in the colors of the sun, sand and sea, Camden Cottage sleeps 9 and comes fully stocked with all the dishes, pots, pans, and tools you need to grill a steak in the backyard, roast marshmallows around the fire pit or boil up a lobster feast. Our beach chairs and sturdy beach cart make your trek down to the water easy and you can end the day with a glass of wine on the covered front porch. And for those rainy days, there are books, games, music and DVDs to entertain the whole family. Come make memories at Camden Cottage!

Camden Cottage is rented by the week from Saturday to Saturday during the summer season (Sat. June 27th thru Sat. Sept 6th.) Off season, we rent the property in the spring and fall with a 3 night minimum stay.

Driving in? - We've have off-street parking for 6 cars.
Flying? We are a quick 20 min ride from Portland International Airport.
Taking the train? Camden Cottage is a short walk from the train station.
Your vacation stay will be worry-free.

NOTE: Due to the inconsistency of linen delivery services, we will not be providing linens (towels and sheets) for renters. We can recommend a local linen rental service to contact directly for rental, delivery and payments if packing linens is not possible. Comforters, pillow, and plenty of extra blankets are provided in the house.

Great stay in OOB

The house was perfect for our family of 8 and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay including gear for beach which was a huge plus. Easy walk to pier and beach, would stay here again.

Eric and Jen were great hosts - responsive and very accommodating! The house was clean and the location the great - it was a bit dated with a very steep staircase but overall worked for us.

September is the Best

Great location to the Pier - quite neighborhood

We were in OOB for the Annual Car show. Sadly they cancelled Saturday because of Hurricane Lee. Plenty of room in the house for 6 adults, house is bigger than what the pictures make you think. Would stay again!

Women’s weekend

From arrival to departure our stay did not disappoint. Home had what we needed in every aspect from sleeping, cooking and outdoor relaxation. Our host was very helpful with finding a local lobster market that we brought fresh lobster home and made it a true Maine experience.

Well stocked . Great communication with the host. Living room/ dining area bigger than expected. To get to laundry needed to go outside. The only sleeping area on the first floor is the sunroom. Would stay there again.

Best Vacation Ever!!!!

Our stay in Camden Cottage was magnificent. We were there 6/25/16 - 7/2/16. Before we ever arrived, Miranda Barrett was sending us lists of things to do and giving us background information on the area. She was there at the house to greet us when we arrived. She had everything needed to make Smores – the chocolate bars, square marshmallows, and graham crackers. Her personal gift to us. She walked us through the house and showed us where everything was located. We had all the pots, pans, utensils, wine bottle openers, cups, glasses, etc. to make us feel at home. The cottage was clean and spacious. There is a washer and dryer onsite as well as an iron and ironing board. She even had beach towels, beach toys, umbrellas, and everything needed for the beach. We were able to use the fire pit in the backyard as well as grill meat on the nice BBQ grill. Each day Miranda would wash all of the outdoor chairs and furniture, so that when we came to enjoy the backyard everything was clean. My daughter loved the sunroom downstairs. She claimed that as her spot the moment she saw it. I can go on and on about how wonderful our stay was and how accommodating Miranda was. It was an absolutely perfect trip.

Maison agréable et pratique!

Nous avons passé une belle semaine à OOB malgré une météo plutôt grise. La maison est confortable et très bien équipée. Il y a plusieurs avantages à rester à Camden Cottage: quartier tranquille, chaises de plage et chariot disponibles, espace feu dans la cour, bois fourni, BBQ... La literie n'est cependant pas fournie même si on peut penser le contraire en regardant le site: on dit qu'il n'y a pas de problème si on vient en avion puisque les draps et serviettes sont fournis...Un peu plus loin, on dit que la literie est lavée à l'eau très chaude! Concernant la propreté, il semble que le ménage avait été fait un peu rapidement avant notre arrivée: j'ai dû passer un coup de balai pour enlever quelques déchets derrière la poubelle... Il ne fallait pas non plus regarder sous les lits... Mais les salles de bain étaient propres et dans l'ensemble, ça allait. Somme toute, nous avons apprécié le Camden Cottage!

Wonderful wedding weekend

This rental was great! Great location, lots of places to eat, walking distance to the beach and lots of room for the family to spread out in. Dont forget to bring your own linens during the off season, Eric and Jennifer reminded us which was so helpful! The only thing I would mention is that the "master bedroom" upstairs with the little pullout loveseat does have a carpeted stairwell connecting the room to the kitchen. There are no doors for this stairwell and so we had to be extra careful with our little ones. (However the hosts do provide two baby gates which was super handy!) Overall, it was a lovely stay and hope to be back again soon.

Wonderful Vacation Stay

My family and I had a wonderful two week stay at the Camden Cottage. We stayed with our 3 year old daughter and newborn son and it accommodated us very comfortably. We have rented many places before and the beds here we found very comfortable. There were many games and dvds which was nice. The walk to the beach was very close and manageable with the kids. The boardwalk was also close if we wanted to walk there but far enough away that we did not feel we were near all the hustle and bustle with the kids. Eric was very quick to respond when we had a small issue and sent someone out to fix it promptly. He also was very understanding and allowed us to use the house and porch after check out when our car battery died and we needed to wait for a replacement. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Camden Cottage!

Extended Stay

We had a great time in Old Orchard Beach enjoying the changing of fall colors all that Maine has to offer. The house is well located near the beach and has easy access to Portland and the highways for easy travel on numerous day trips. Communication with Eric was excellent and he was very quick to respond. The house is very well stocked and clean but a little dated and the stairs could be difficult to navigate. All in all, we would stay in this house again.

Perfect for an OOB getaway

House was clean and had most everything we needed. Jen and Eric are very accommodating hosts and communication is a breeze. We will certainly book here again when we come to town again. We were in OOB visiting a few friends and it was very nice to be able to host a lobster dinner, enjoy some games, and a nice fire out back; all thanks to a well supplied house. The beach is lovely, the pier area was fun, and it was a delight to come home to a warm comfy bed at the end of the day.

holiday rental for your vacation. We recently purchased Camden Cottage in May of 2021 and are excited to share our new home with you. My husband and I fell in love with coastal Maine over 15 years ago with our 5 children. We have been coming to OOB for the last 8 years and are so excited to be able to own a home in this great neighborhood. We hope you find everything you need for your stay, but if there is
anything missing please don't hesitate to contact us. We'd be happy to tell you about our favorite restaurants, parks, beaches and sights around the area.

We bought Camden Cottage in 2021 during the middle of the pandemic with the purpose of vacationing here during the off weeks in the summer and renting it out to vacationers to help with the costs.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

What I love most about Camden Cottage is the open, easy-breezy style of the house as well as the quirky nooks and crannies, such as the built-in drawers, sloping ceiling and little back staircase to the MBR. The previous owner did all the painting and decorating herself and tried to carry a consistent beachy style and color scheme throughout the house. Camden Cottage is a classic 'New Englander' built in the 1920's, so of course there's still lots to be done. So, you can look forward to improvements and upgrades as you return year after year!
