Wonderful Family Spot

This was the perfect spot for our family close to the beautiful Torch Lake! We especially loved kayaking in the river and the games. Many memories were made here.

Nice Place and Good Value

We had a large group of women from church stay at the property last weekend. Overall we had a wonderful time and enjoyed the property emmensely. However there were a few things to note- -The inside of the property was very clean, howevever the outside could use a good cleaning. -The river was beautiful but VERY shallow (less than 1ft in places) and we were not able to kayak as planned. One of the kayaks was also damaged and filled up with water when we attempted to use it. Again, overall we enjoyed our stay. Great communication from the manager and she allowed us to extend our check out which was much appreciated. I would recommend staying at this location.

Nice house too many fees

House is nice and an awesome location but also has its flaws. It should not be rated for this many guests with only 2 small bathrooms, 1 on each floor and the bad sleeping arrangements. 2 sets of bunk beds for for children and are very unsafe to use and we ended up having to use furniture for more sleeping space. The fees charged are ridiculous for the property as well. We pay the large cleaning fee but they expect you to do it all for them.

Family friendly home in a quiet neighborhood

House was very well stocked with linens, towels, and various dishes. There is a nice sandbar on the river from the dock that kids can easily get to and play on. Only downside was the neighbor was very picky about noise. Kids playing outside and music playing during the middle of the afternoon and came over to complain. She was nice about it but it was during the day not in the middle of the night so not sure what the issue was. Natalie was very responsive to our questions when we arrived. Suggest purchasing a portable air conditioner for the upstairs bedroom as there is no AC in the house and the smart thermostats do not cool it down. It stayed very muggy upstairs and hard to sleep at night. We ended up purchasing window fans to keep it cool upstairs. Would definitely rent from them again though as the house had more than enough space for our group of 19.

NO A/C and NO SCREENS in the windows!

This property does NOT have any air conditioning in the home or screens in the windows. You canā€™t even open your windows for air flow because the bugs and mosquitos are TERRIBLE since the home is in the woods. They do not advertise online that there is no air conditioning as one would assume that would be a modern amenity. However, they state they offer modern amenities on the advertising. LIE! Not only is there no air conditioning, but the home also has NO SCREENS in the windows so you cannot open your windows for airflow. When I called management to request screens, they told me they would be there the next day to install them. No one showed up. After calling back to ask where the maintenance man was to install the screens, I was told that they didn't know where he was and they can't get anyone else out the rest of our stay which would be 6 total days. I asked to speak to the owners. I was told the owners would call me. That never happened either. We heard from no one even though we made multiple calls to have screens installed. We spent almost a week in this home with temperatures over 90 degrees inside of the house. It was a miserable experience. You would sweat in your sleep and one of the bedrooms does not have windows in the bedroom at all so there is zero airflow there. You cannot open your windows while you were gone during the day because your personal belongings are there. And you cannot sleep with the windows open with no screens because you would be eaten alive by the mosquitoes and other various bugs throughout the house since the home sets in the woods. Management did NOTHING. We contacted evolve and they also did nothing. We have followed up four times and have not received a reply. Unless you want a camping experience at a HIGH cost, DONā€™T STAY HERE! This home was also extremely dirty. The images online look like they have newer furniture however, the floors were disgusting, dust all over the fixtures and lamps, blankets and linens were NOT washed. No firewood even though it states firewood is included on the ad. If you stay here, you better bring a bug spray and fans from home.

Beautiful and Spacious cabin on the River

Beautiful and relaxing property. One Kayak had a hole in the front so If I had known we would have brought ours with us. Screens on the porch were very dirty we cleaned so we could enjoy the view. Outdoor cushions also wet and dirty. The amount of space in the home was wonderful and kitchen very nicely stocked.

Great place for a group getaway!

This place was awesome! Plenty of room for 14 of our friends to relax and take a break from our hectic work/life schedules and enjoy the rustic, yet modern vibes the cabin offers. A few things to note for big groups - there is only one refrigerator so make sure you have coolers to store food, bring firewood, and although the map makes it seem that you could take your boat from the cabinā€™s dock to Torch Lake, itā€™s too shallow so plan ahead to store boats at the marina near by. Overall; great stay and we will be back!!

Great Getaway!

We booked this beautiful cabin for a couples trip; 14 friends total. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed with the decor, the beautiful stone fireplace and the space, as it has tons of room and several sitting areas and games to play. The outside space was nice too, big fire pit, but make sure to arrange to bring wood or have it delivered. We also played games on the patio and listened to music and were not bothered by any neighbors (as read in a previous post). Baser on the map, we thought we would be able to dock our boats at the house so we could take them to Torch sandbar but the river ended up behind too shallow. We were able to park them at the Marina for $300 each (4 nights) so just make sure to arrange that if you plan to bring water toys. Overall, we had a great time and it was nice to unplug from our busy jobs to relax and make some memories in a beautiful space. We will be back!

Beaver tail lodge stay

We had a fantastic time at this property in rapid city. The property was thoroughly furnished with everything we needed. Any questions we had were responded to in less than a half hour every time- awesome communication. It was very clean with extensive amenities. We had 6 children ages 6 and under with us and there were games, Netflix, Disney+, and tons of toys for them to use during our stay. We will be back again for sure! Great property, will rebook!

This property was 100% as described. They thought of every detail to make the stay great. We enjoyed our evenings by the fire, the variety of birds on the river as well as the screened in porch and upstairs outside seating area. There are so many spaces to chill I felt like a fri - sun just didnā€™t get give us enough time to enjoy all it had to offer. We didnā€™t have younger kids with us but there is a game room with plenty of stuff to keep the young/old busy. Neighbors were friendly. I had a dead battery on the morning we left and they came over and jumped the car for me! Ceiling fans, bedroom ACā€™s kept us cool. Ignore prior posts as they have remedied the ā€œtoo hotā€ concerns. Natalie was our contact and she arranged to get us fire wood in advance and one quick call to ask a question and she picked up on the second ring! Highly recommend.

Secluded Paradise

This gorgeous log home was flawless, beautifully decorated in a north woods rustic style with a well-appointed kitchen and plenty of linens, and very clean. The screened porch was a great place for our large family to hang out. The fire pit was another favorite place. The view from the dock at dusk was mystical. This is such a special property. We would love to come back again.
