This was such a wonderful stay tucked away in the Pocono Mountains. Quite comfortable for me and my husband and five kids.

The pictures are deceiving..the decor is cute, but as soon as you open the door, it smelled damp and musty..there were deodorizing plug- ins in every room, but they were all empty..cleaning crew must have forgot to plug in new ones..apparently the owner is aware of the odor..also, there were cob webs everywhere inside..in the windows, the light fixtures and windows frames.. again, cleaning crew must not have seen them..really!! Next, the corner in the ceiling has tiles that are literally buckling! There is clearly an issue there..this place should not have been rented out to anyone until these problems are resolved..we called the host to let her know of these issues and that we were leaving 2 days early because of them..she was very nice..I told her this place is cute and has potential, but there are some issues that need to be fixed..she said she would look into them..but she stated that this needed to be resolved thru Evolve. .they refused to issue a refund for our 2 day early departure stating if we would have called immediately, these issues could have been resolved..no, they could not! So much for the Rest Easy policy guaranting a clean pleasant experience!..shame on Evolve..I do believe once the host fixes these problems, it would be a nice place to stay again..

Very nice home neighborhood not so nice

Overall our stay was nice I do wish the grass was cut for the pet and the neighborhood was a bit rough the roads and the homes in the neighborhood were Won the lover andnot what I was prepared for but your home was very nice inside very comfortable and very well equipped in the kitchen

It’s a decent house

The house itself is good; overrun with ladybugs, which was strange and there were some filthy wine glasses in the cabinets but clean for the most part. I should’ve paid attention to the lack of air conditioning as it was very hot inside. There are fans - and if those are too loud for you like for us there are extras in the closets. The beds and pillows are very uncomfortable so we all had sore backs the whole trip. The pictures give the impression that it’s away from it all and right by a lake but in reality it’s in a dirt road residential neighborhood with neighbors all over (which were very loud the first night so we really didn’t sleep well or get to keep the windows open in the heat). Also, you have to drive to the lake it’s about 2.5 miles away. The dogs only have a small area to be technically off leash, but you can’t leave them alone there anyway because one of the gate latches is broken. This was incredibly disappointing because the main reason we book is to give our dog room to run around and enjoy and you certainly can’t do that here as the outside drops off dangerously and also it’s unclear where their property ends and any of the neighbor’s begin. Unfortunately, we will not be booking anything in the area again.

Hi Raven, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they would like to share the following: - Ladybugs can be common in the area during the spring months but we have pest control measures that manage these issues. We've also passed the cleanliness concerns onto our team and apologize for this issue. - We do not advertise having air conditioning but each room has a thermostat that can be adjusted. We are looking into HVAC mini-split systems being installed for the summer. - We have both hard and soft pillows in order to accommodate all guests' comfort but are sorry to hear that these did not meet your preferences. - We do include a map on our listing so that guests can see the approximate location of the home prior to booking, but we apologize that this caught you off guard. - The home backs up into a wooded area where there can be wildlife so we do not recommend leaving pets unattended in this space. Fall Color Visit

We visited the area to see the fall colors. The house was neat and clean and had everything we needed. My husband loved the pellet stove and now wants to get one for our house. The TV only had Netflix and YouTube TV but we did not spend much time watching TV.

My family and I had an excellent stay at a beautiful home. Almost everything was brand new and high quality. The contact person was polite and prompt. We would have loved to stay longer.
