Great place for large group

We love this property, this was our 3rd time staying there. We love the wheelchair accessible room on the main floor as well as the kids themed rooms upstairs. We also love the amazing playroom that was great for the kids that ranged 1-6 years old. There was plenty of room for our group of 13 people and would return again!

Awesome

This house was in a great location to Disney. The house was huge and super cool. The pool and spa tub is not heated this time of year and was chilly but the kids didn’t mind. The property manger was always quick to respond. If you are considering this house it will not be disappointed!!!!

The house is beautiful overall but is an echo chamber!The manager does not know this property well and there are things that are not as nice as they should be. The manager will tell you there is not a K cup machine when there is or tell you face cloths are not included but they are provided. We reported issues which needed repair on our second day there…a smoke detector sounding, a light that was out and the burners on the grill which were not working as they should (huge hole in burner due to age). The smoke detector was addressed that day but maintenance did not address the light or grill issue until the 6th day. They changed the bulb during our dinner and only looked at the grill, after I reminded the manager of the request. I requested a refund of the grill fee and received 95 credit of the 125 fee I was charged. The manager will also say that propane is not provided for that fee. We purchased a 65 tank only to arrive and not need it as there were 2 on the property already. The toy room is the old garage and managment expected the portable ac unit not to be used while away from the house. The room was 98 when we arrived without the ac unit on. Obviously the garage needs more insulation. I feel it was unreasonable for management to expect us not the leave the ac on when the room became that hot without the ac on. How dangerous for the kids! It took almost 3 hours for the room to be 80 when we left the ac off, so we mostly kept it on.

Great Place Away from The Traffic

This house in Shire in West Haven is really a nice location. We’ve been to other communities in this area during the Easter/Passover holidays and they were somewhat chaotic. This place was quiet. Perhaps it was because the overnight street parking and noise restrictions are enforced. The property was clean. The pool heat was working. It was a south facing pool. The kids loved the game room. It’s near stores. The stay was terrific. Would stay here again. The downside: traffic. Over the past four years the traffic has really gotten really bad in the four corners area. You need to avoid certain times of day or it can take a long time to go a short distance.

We had several issues with the property, but mostly involved the terrible communication with the property manager (host). In preparation for this trip, we peppered the host with questions about amenities. Every answer we received was either misleading, or completely inaccurate. In the listing, the property states "The pool heating service is onlyavailable from November to the end of April." No fee is mentioned until you book. I challenged this because the wording is misleading, but the host dismissed my concerns. We asked if the property has a Keurig Coffee Maker, the host said "No." And they did have a Keurig on the counter when we arrived. We could have saved money by bringing k-cups from home. We asked if the property has pool toys, and the host said "No, but feel free to bring your own. " And they did have a giant box of pool toys by the pool. Very frustrating, especially after we filled a suitcase full of pool toys and brought it to Florida, unnecessary.Additionally, there was garbage floating in the pool, and also trash in some of the dresser drawers we wanted to use. The property offers one toilet paper paper role per bathroom, and anything beyond that is the guest's responsibility. What bothered us, was the toilet paper roles were partially used and one bathroom's role was almost completely gone. Lastly, there are several signs hanging up around the property about "fees" for this and "fees" for that. It came across as threatening, rather than inviting.

Works well for a large group

Nice big house that, just as described, sleeps 13. Clean! Nice laundry room. Large kitchen and family room areas for our group. Plenty of bathrooms. Plenty of dishes which was great for us because we ate all of our meals there. The pots and pans are not great but we made do, and the dishes are nice. Plenty of dishes and glasses. We stayed for a week so it would have been nice to have a better supply of toilet paper, paper towels, soap, etc. until we had a chance to purchase our own since all of us are from out of town. There was one bath towel per person, only one hand towel per bathroom and no hand soap. Lots of pool towels. Most of the beds are comfortable. The one in the Mario room is completely connected so made a lot of noise when any one staying there moved. Also one on top has to crawl through the other top bunk to get up and down. Probably better for younger kids, mine are young adults. We eventually found the tennis/pickleball courts which we used every day. Communication with the property mgt. was good overall - quick responses, but some of the responses were generic and did not address the questions about this particular property. Would definitely stay there again.
