Summary:
Here at the Bungalow which sleeps 8 people comfortably in four bedrooms, you are located in the center of many activities from golf courses and hiking trails, to good food and drinks! Come tour University of Alabama Birmingham, set a tee time at Highland Park Golf course, take a hike at nearby Ruffner Mountain Nature Preserve, delight your senses at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens and zoo; there is something to do for everyone. Welcome to Birmingham! I'm delighted to host you!

The Space:
Welcome to the Bungalow! Come into my open and bright 4 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom home. There is room to comfortably accommodate 8 guests: 1 bedroom has a king bed, bedroom 2 & 3 have one queen bed each, and bedroom 4 has two single beds. The living room is outfitted with two armcharis, a sectional sofa, and I have provided additional barstools at the console table for dinner and movie nights, or extra seating in the kitchen, too. There is a SmartTV in the living area ready to stream any of your subscription services, and a fully stocked kitchen with butcher block counters. The kitchen is well equipped with dishes, silverware, pots, pans, a coffee maker, and cooking utensils. There is a café table with two chairs and a bench big enough to seat four, or you can move in the console table from the living area and bar stools to seat 8. There is 1 full bathroom and a shared half bath. You have chosen the right spot for your Birmingham travels. Note: This home is located next to a shipping facility for temperature control units. It operates during normal business hours.

This home is in a transitioning neighborhood. We have had some guests who say they do not like the neighborhood. We think it is great, and we love our family-friendly neighborhood and have never had any security issues or concerns., but we recognize that every guest has different life experiences. Please do not book this house if our neighborhood makes you uncomfortable. If you do decide to cancel after arriving, it will be subject to our cancellation policy.

Guest Access:
The house has a digital keypad at the front door which will provide you access to the house. The code will be provided upon check-in. You will have full and private access to the home.

Please do not book this house if our neighborhood makes you uncomfortable. If you do decide to cancel after arriving, it will be subject to our cancellation policy.

In just a short 15 minute drive you can hit places like:
- University of Alabama Birmingham
- UAB Hospital
- Highland Park Golf Course
- Birmingham Botanical Gardens
- Museums
- Ruffner Mountain Nature Preserve
- Plenty of restaurants and breweries (Avondale Brewing Company is 1.8 miles away).
- Historic Alabama Theater

Getting Around:
Uber, Lyft, and other Taxi available, but driving is encouraged!

Other Things to Note:
To provide guests with additional sense of security, we have also installed a ring security system, along with a digital door lock. This allows for remote entry and a sense of privacy and security.

We require a signed rental agreement and for guest to be 25 years of age to book.

If you notify us of your intent to cancel prior to the lapse of the free cancellation period, we will return 97% of your payment. The other 3% will already have been collected by the credit card processing company, and we have no way to return that portion of the payment.
We are a pet friendly home. Pets must be crated when they are left unattended in the home. We do not allow pets on furniture or beds, and all waste must be cleaned up from the yard. All pets require a non-refundable pet fee. If there is evidence of pet hair on the furniture, excess hair in the home, stains, or waste found in the yard or home, you will be charged the cost to clean this. In the event that a security deposit is collected, we will retain all or part of the security deposit to cover any costs associated with additional cleaning due to pets.

Interaction with Guests:
We like to give our guests maximum privacy, so we offer contact-free checkin via a digital door code. Just know that we are only a phone call away if ever the need arises during your stay!

It was ok
We booked for 2 nights but our tournament got over early and since only 2 1/2 hrs from home decided to leave after one night. It was clean, beds were comfortable, small cut up house with bad floors, fridge is in back room, the pictures said 2nd fridge. It’s a noisy area with a train and a lot of fire trucks. It needs a lot of updates, has a lot of broken items like towel bar, toilet moved, no hangers or dresser in our room, hole in the wall. Squirrel in ceiling, the tree out front was dropping limbs due to being struck by lightening a neighbor told us so we wouldn’t park under it cause branches were all over place so make sure to park in driveway. But it was hard to tell where driveway was. Tree needs cut down bad. Needs more towels. Floors are very uneven. The twin beds were not made but did have the linens there. It was ok for one night and price, but not for longer.

Good, quiet stay.
This house is an older house that has been remodeled. It is primarily in an industrial area. There are about 4 houses on the block only 2 which are vacant and that need some work. We had a nice quiet time. .
