We had a wonderful relaxing stay. The cabin is cozy and the outdoor spaces are nice with a calming sound of the rushing river.

So relaxing! Having the river and the fire pit was our favorite part of the house. This place is so peaceful I have never slept better. We will be back again.

This property was exactly as advertised. At the discounted prices was a fantastic value. With the river in the background and the cozy cabin vibe it was a very relaxing stay.

We *really* enjoyed celebrating our anniversary at Thistle Dew. The property is beautiful, clean and well-kept interior, comfortable furniture, and incredible views of the river. The salmon were running during our stay which was so much fun. Only hiccup was that we had no cell service at the property (Verizon). Not a major issue, except that the door code wasn't accessible until 4pm, so when arrived then, we weren't able to login to the breezeway system to get the code. So we had to drive back out to cell service to get the code then drive back. It didn't ruin our stay, just a bit of a hassle after a long drive. A smoother approach would be to just provide the code to guests in advance. I highly recommend staying here, just be aware that spotty cell service might make check in challenging. Thanks for a great stay Meredith!

Thank you for sharing the highlights of your anniversary stay, from the river views to the salmon run. We’re sorry the lack of service made accessing your door code inconvenient after a long drive. Our system does send out the codes the morning of arrival, so I will find out why yours did not deliver properly and have IT fix this promptly. We had an amazing 3 nights at Thistle Dew. It is a simply beautiful spot with great proximity to Welches and trail heads. I highly recommend Thistle Dew!

weekend getaway

The house was fantastic for a quiet weekend getaway. Right on the Salmon River, everything was clean and well appointed, hot tub was great. Would 100% stay here again.

Great place to relax

Lovely cabin. The water and wildlife were peaceful. Close to groceries and other conveniences, but off the beaten path. The hot tub was great to use and easy to access.

Great place for a weekend getaway!

Nice little cabin right on the Salmon River. All the amenities for a great stay! Many birds and even watched a deer cross the river right in front of the cabin!

Lovely getaway

The cabin was homey and clean, very comfortable for a little getaway! Some nearby neighbors, but very quiet and beautiful setting, not at all far from the grocery store and restaurants in Welches! Definitely recommend!

a beautiful snowy weekend stay in a perfect cabin

had my boyfriend in from Boston and he wanted a perfect PNW forest getaway and this cabin was exactly that. cute, clean, comfy and easy to find this cabin was just what we wanted!

Honeymoon

This was the perfect place to stay. The river is right there and nice to sit and listen to, and catch a glimpse of a fish swimming by every now and then. Close to several hiking options too. We really enjoyed our time there!

We spent Saturday afternoon sitting by the river, watching salmon swim upstream and soaking our feet in the cool water. Then we drove up to Timberline to catch the sunset. Thistle Dew is rustic and cozy, yet conveniently located close to shopping. It was just what my wife and I were looking for in a relaxing weekend!
