Enjoy the beautiful area of South Lake Leelanau, located in Leelanau County on the north side of Traverse City. This lovely 4-bedroom, 2-bath home welcomes up to eight guests. Love Up North is a wonderful family retreat. A spacious living room with a fireplace looks over the lake. WIFI is provided. The kitchen and dining area also face the water. There is one bedroom on the main level, and three bedrooms on the upper level with king, queen, two twins, and bunk beds.

Step out to the large deck with a built-in fire pit. It is a wonderful spot for relaxation. 50' of frontage and a dock are provided, along with two kayaks. This home faces west to catch spectacular sunsets. Lake Leelanau is an all-sports lake and is 21 miles long. A trip from Traverse City to Leland by boat is possible on this super lake. Walleye, Pike, and Small-mouth bass are a few of the fish available in the lake.

No pets are allowed at this property.

This home is 10 minutes to downtown Traverse City and 15 minutes to Suttons Bay. It is close to several wineries.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great quiet location. The house is quite close to the neighboring homes but has a nice yard for family games. The kayaks were a great bonus that we didn't expect.

Better than expected

Area is beautiful- very nice neighborhood and spacious house. A little dated, but fine for a rental. Please note- dock was removed when we were there in October- would’ve liked to hv had that to fish off of. Traverse city downtown (about 15 min away) is very cute with nice shops and restaurants.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay on Lake Leelanau was wonderful! We love being right on the water and we have had a long love for the peninsula! My family had a great time every where they went and then dinner,a fire and tv in the evening. I appreciate the extra cot that was brought over so I could be alone in my room!! Thanks so much! I would suggest that the owners purchase a new microwave as the toaster oven has seen its best days! Otherwise everything was great and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!!

Gorgeous home

Idyllic home with a gorgeous view. We were looking forward to using the kayaks but sadly were unable as there just wasn't enough time! Loved the deck, hammock, and dock for beautiful sunsets. I wish we had more than just a weekend. We will definitely be back. Only critiques I have are, adults in the bunk beds - not loving. Only because it's pretty low and I couldn't sit on the side of the bed or I would hit my head. Other than that, so cozy and we love our the there. The keyless entry made it so easy for us to "check in" and out. I will recommend this home to anyone and I will probably be back. Thank you for making my stay perfect.

Amazing location on the lake

This rental was in an amazing location on the lake. The lake is sandy right in front of the house, great for swimming. The house was pretty clean but definitely in a little bit of disrepair. The stove in the kitchen was temperamental, the toaster oven was broken and the kitchen wasn’t outfitted for group cooking. The grass was about 12” when we arrived and had to call for someone to come cut the lawn. After the lawn was mowed, the yard was a mess. Not ideal for Fourth of July yard games. The property management company was responsive and helpful but not all aspects of the rental are managed by the property manager. Overall, if you care most about being on a pristine lake and don’t need anything fancy - I’d recommend this rental.

Lovely location

First of all, the home was clean and well stocked with all you would need. We were with our daughter, her husband and their two children. Upon arrival, the first thing we noticed was there was no dock that was seen in the photos. The dock was a primary reason we selected this property, so our 7 year old grandson could fish with his Paw Paw. The other issue was there were no blinds installed in the upstairs windows, which are large and allow very bright light in. The property management answered our call immediately and reassured us the dock would be installed by end of the next day, which it was. We also received a voicemail that someone would be installing the blinds, so do not be surprised if someone showed while we were there. Nobody ever showed, and no blinds were installed during our stay. The last item to note was the lack of lawn maintenance. The lawn needed mowing and a serious lack of edge trimming. The homes on both sides had beautifully maintained yards, with very kind homeowners, I’m sure they aren’t pleased with the lack of yard upkeep. Having said all this, it was all minor, and we would return. I just hope our observations are noted and worked on.

Great Location and property

This was a great stay for use. The location of the property was lovely and the actual cabin was great. Very spacious with water access. However, this cabin is rented through a third party (not Vrbo) and communication with the third party was always great. I was told a check in at 1:00 vs 4:00 would require an additional days rent and when we get to the location, the dock was not properly secured. I called to inform the third party and they told me docks weren't guarenteed after Labor Day. So overall, I would highly recommend this cabin, just be aware you aren't working with a vrbo host.

Perfect Getaway

We met our children in Traverse City and spent three nights at this property and just enjoyed everything about it. The lake was so lovely to look at from the deck or float in with the kayaks or just swim in. The location was convenient to many attractions in the Grand Traverse area. Just loved it and would definitely rent here again!

Blood pressure lower as soon as we walked in!

What a great place!! I was traveling with my daughter and my 84 yr old mother! I was hoping for a rental where my mom could access the water and enjoy herself without barriers! We were so pleased with the house and the property! The house feels comfortable as soon as you walk in,. It was clean and was adequately stocked with things we may have needed. The online summary said we needed to bring some staples, which we did, but they were not needed! The main floor is perfect with the kitchen, dining and living room all opening up to a huge multi level deck, which leads to an expansive lawn and beautiful Lake Leelanau! Kayaks are new and perfect for paddling the lake! The dock is perfect for coffee in the morning, sunning in the afternoon and stargazing at night! The house is in a great location for everything we had going on! It’s close to TC, Glen Arbor, all of the wineries and Leland. Can you tell we just loved it? Perfect place for all ages!
