Weekend Away with the Kids

Perfect property to stay with a young family. Plenty of space and plenty to keep the kids entertained with. Perfect location in the hunter and look forward to coming back!

Great secluded location with easy access to the Hunter

Although this villa is part of a larger resort, the property felt quite secluded and private. The access to restaurant and bar was a great addition and there is easy access to surrounding wineries. The only thing to remember is that you don't have access to the main resort pool when booking a private villa which I didn't realise (although it is noted in the property description).

We enjoyed the stay, especially the fireplace and heater. Just to let you know that the down stairs toilet keeps on flushing.

Nice and central

The apartment was great for 3 couples as each room had a king bed. The apartment was clean, central and well suited our needs. With 3 lounges as well, enjoying cheese and biscuits in the lounge room with the fire on was lovely. Our only disappointment was some items weren’t there that would’ve been helpful for cooking ie sharp knives, tongs, more bowls, and there were no placemats.

Thank you for your review, we are glad you guys enjoyed the king size beds in each room. Our lounge rooms with the fire is definitely one of our favourite features of the property. Thank you for providing feedback to us in regards to the lack of utensils / items in the kitchen, we will let our owner know to have these items included for future guest. The place is in a fantastic location and close to all the places we were interested in visiting. The unit had ample space, was thoughtfully decorated and the hosts left some everyday household things to be used by guests I suppose, otherwise it would be stored under lock and key. The place was spacious and clean. I appreciated the “no key entry” which meant my family could come and go without the need to constantly check who has the key to lock and unlock. Appreciated! So why not five stars? There were a few broken items around the unit and I alerted the host/booking agent of that. A down side for me was the cumbersome booking procedures and theNUMBER of emails/ messages related to the booking. It felt like as the person booking, I was intruding into someone else’s space. I understand that went renting out a place you want to ensure that the place is looked after and left in the way you want it left. I felt that that can be captured in a SINGLE email and not numerous emails stating expectations, checking out times, noise policy etc. it took away from a relaxing time. I received no fewer that 6 messages during my stay, all being friendly reminders about no noise after 10 pm, to lock up safely, to check this and check that. I went there to relax and this could not. A single email would suffice. In the place itself numerous notices are left reminding guest of the bins, the operation of the fireplace, the bbq etc. This could all be contained in a single folder on the living room.
