We only rent to mature adults aged 25 and older. No children allowed under 8 years old.
Private beach, dock, raft, rowboat, canoe, 5 Kayaks, or launch your boat. ROKU TV, high speed internet, WIFI, 42' flat screen internet TV.
Sleeps 6 - two bedrooms - One with Queen bed, one with two single beds (Can be made into a Queen), and a full-size pullout couch in the
family/living room.
106 feet of sandy beach with dock and raft for your swimming, boating, or fishing pleasure.
8' sliding door to patio 80 feet from water's edge.
Central air conditioning
Faces east for beautiful sunrises. Beach is sunny all day.
Eight golf courses are in the region.
Everything provided except beach towels.
Activities - swimming, fishing, boating, hiking, mountain climbing, golf, miniature golf, go carts, bowling, shopping, restaurants, plays, auctions, antiquing, Ice Fishing, Ice Skating, Snowmobiling, Cross Country Skiing, 1 hr. to Snow Skiing - Okemo - Mount Snow - Crotched Mountain.

The best of New England awaits you. A quaint New England town with baked bean suppers, antique shops & auctions, fairs and friendly people all nestled in the foothills of New Hampshire. Enjoy your weekends and vacations with deer, fox, Bald Eagles, and Canadian geese as life slows down to a relaxed pace. Four miles from New Hampshire's largest wilderness state park - Pisgah State Park. It's great for hiking and enjoying the great outdoors. Twenty-four miles to Mount Monadnock - Elevation 3,125' - One of the most frequently climbed mountains in the world.

This abode is located on Forest Lake in Winchester, NH. The Monadnock Region is great for Summertime fun, Fall foliage, Winter activities or Springtime hiking.
- Handicap accessible - No stairs to climb or hills to navigate. 80 feet from the water's edge.
- No running up and down stairs with food plates, etc. The patio and barbecue grill are right outside your sliding door.
- Beach is sunny all day from sunrise to sunset - Some beaches are shady most of the day.
- Equipment provided - Canoe, rowboat, 5 kayaks, life vests
- We do have a dog on the premises. Her name is Lady Callie. She is very friendly and loves everyone.

Great place, bt charged for damages we didn't cause

Lovely place of a lake. Great access to kayaks. Very well apportioned in terms of pots and pans. But after we left we received charges for a bench we supposedly damaged (we were also charged for damaging a cookie jar--it broke when a shelf in the cupboard broke causing a plate to fall on it. The shelf is broken we didn’t break it). So, enjoy your stay, but be prepared to pay extra fat the en.

Beautiful

We enjoyed a short two night stay at the lake house and loved the beautiful views! The house was exceptionally clean and the host was warm and friendly.

Delightful Stay

Nice spot on a lovely lakefront property. Very convenient location with short, easy drives to Keene, NH, Northfield,MA, and Brattleboro, Vt. Our hosts were very accommodating.

Nice little house, beautiful location.

Very nice little home with a beautiful location. Above average cleanliness. Nothing fancy. Has pretty much everything you could need available. Bathroom is combined with laundry room, which is fine, but the bathroom part is small. The purpose of our trip was leaf peeping and climbing Mount Monadnock, So this location served our needs quite well. We would stay again.

Exactly as advertised.

Completely stocked with everything we could possibly need. Ground floor so easy access. View is fantastic. Quiet, restful. Good for those who enjoy walking trails in the woods, those who enjoy watching ducks and geese do their thing and those who are not looking for hot spots and wild life. Great week with very nice owners who invited us to attend a monthly church dinner down the street with them.

Sister trip

We couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful stay. The property was as listed and better than we could’ve imagined. The most relaxing spot I’ve ever been to on a vacation and my sister had the same feeling. We thank the McGrath’s for sharing their home with us.

Lovely Home away from home

The home was lovely with a beautiful view of the lake. It was very quiet and peaceful. There were also some nice walking trails near by which I enjoyed while I was there. Bill & his wife were very warm and we felt very welcome and at home there!

Comfortable

Nice property and a nice location. Overall an enjoyable stay and the owner was very good at responding to us. Couldn’t get the television to work and not much in the way of “extras” (we had to buy laundry soap, coffee/filters,toilet paper, and condiments, flour sugar etc.) overall a good experience and we would stay there again.

Wonderful relaxing weekend

This property is right on the lake with beautiful views. It rained most of the weekend so we couldn't avail ourselves of the outdoors but had a wonderful relaxing time. Owners were quick to answer any questions we had. I would love to come back some time in the future.

Peace and quiet — perfection!

This rental unit provided the perfect get away! Bill was the most welcoming host and the unit had everything we could possibly have wanted. Beautiful scenic views from the living area and the kitchen window were most therapeutic to our tired eyes. Highly recommend this rental to anyone who wants to get away from it all!. And as a bonus, it’s within short driving distance to restaurants and shopping. Thank you Bill McGrath for making our stay so very pleasant!

Quiet Gem on the Water

Great location right on the lake. Property owner is really nice and they allow guests the use of kayaks, canoe, and row boat to enjoy the water. Property is super clean. Owner takes pride in his property and it clearly shows.

Peaceful and Serene on the lake

We needed a relaxing getaway with lakeside access and this property in Winchester was perfect! The lake was a very short walk from the back door and my son had an amazing time swimming and paddle boarding. So quiet and peaceful, exactly what we needed. The apartment was clean and homey with anything you might need. I appreciated that everything was so clean but without the use of heavy perfumed products because those products make me sneeze. Our hosts were friendly but not intrusive and gave great suggestions for things we might like to see on the trip home. We would like to stay here in again in future. My son loved it!

I am one of twelve children. I grew up in Meriden, CT and used to come to Forest Lake every Summer, since 1950. I graduated from the University of Hartford in Hartford, CT in 1979 with BS in Business Administration and graduated with MBA in Management in 1986. I spent most of my career as Material Manager for a small company in Bloomfield, CT. My wife and I are currently retired. I am currently on the Zoning Board of Adjustment, and I am the Winchester School District Treasurer and was on the School Board and Board of Selectmen.

I spent every Summer here, since 1950. I really loved the area and the people. My dream was to retire here. We purchased this property in 1992 and in 2005 we built our retirement home on Forest Lake. It's like being on vacation year round. We hate to leave to go anywhere else.

We love the lake, the woods, and the mountains. We like the rural character of the area. It's so peaceful and serene. It's like being on vacation year round. We like to travel, but we enjoy the area so much we don't like to leave.
