Perched high above Palmilla's One & Only Resort, this villa enjoys 180 degrees of breathtaking ocean views! Located within the exclusive gated resort community of Villas Del Mar, the villa overlooks the deep blue Sea of Cortez in the foreground and the charming town of San Jose del Cabo with surrounding mountains as the backdrop. From the minute you walk through the entry and down the winding exterior stairs you are overwhelmed by the heavily landscaped patio, (bougainvillea galore), private setting and sweeping ocean views. Every room in the two-story villa has an unobstructed ocean view and opens out on to a private terrace or lushly landscaped patio area. The villa was completely redecorated with luxury furnishings recently and is fully updated. The furnishings throughout are very modern/transitional in style, and comfortable with pleasing water-colors and original artwork garnishing the walls. Slide the full height pocket glass doors completely back into the walls and bring the outside in! Special features inside include: high ceilings throughout; large master bedroom; original artwork; modern kitchen appliances; new TVs (60 inch in living area) with American channeling in every room and a sound system for the main living area and patios. The private exterior patio and veranda has dining for 6, spa-hot tub, small infinity pool, fireplace, fire-pit table and gas grill. The Master Bedroom and one of the Guest Bedrooms are located on the main floor. The upstairs bedroom, "The Bird's Nest", with its own private terrace and panoramic views is too cool for words! Included are Concierge - Guest Service Manager, daily housekeeping, airport transport and golf cart. Also available is a list of baby/toddler equipment. Personal chef, butler, spa services, and in home massages on the upper terrace are available for additional charges. The One & Only Resort, rated by many as the best resort in Mexico, has four fabulous restaurants. The professional management team which consists of your Guest Services Manager and Concierge, will take care of all your needs and desires 24/7, including chef, butler and massage services, arrangements for beach days, private fishing expeditions, golf, adventure tours, personal driver, dinner reservations and any other activity . We had a wonderful time in this beautiful house. It was perfect for our family, ages 82 to 14. The stairs, if taken slowly, were fine for our elder grandmom, but if she needed to go up and down a lot for a busy schedule, it would have been more challenging. (not what we were looking for on this trip), However, she loved the house and loved having all of the kids under the same roof. We had a few private dinners with Chief Pedro (amazing) and played card games in various seating areas throughout the property. Andria was great, helping us set our trip activities, which included a boat snorkel/sunset cruise. Whales, flying Mantarays, marlin, and dolphins were a spectacular sight from the well-placed Binoculars at the house. Beach access was easy, and driving a golf cart instead of renting a car was a great bonus coming from LA traffic.This was just what we needed as a family that does not live in the same state, to come together in David's beautiful home in Cabo. Well rested, lots of intimate family time, easy food options, and activities.We will be repeat offenders!Thank you for sharing your beautiful home in one of Cabo's best spots.Cheers!Cassidy & Family.

Paraíso perfecto!

Wow! Casita 17 at Villas Del Mar absolutely exceeded all of our expectations and then some. First, the sweeping vistas...David is not kidding when he says they have the best view! Simply breathtaking, and not just once, but every single day. Waking up and looking out at the brilliant blue Sea of Cortez with the One & Only just below and the Cabo coast stretching for miles left and right was very hard to leave. We loved swimming in our private pool/spa at all times of the day and night -- especially fun for our teens. The outdoor furniture was also very comfortable and well planned out. It was a bit extra, but Club 96 was so worth it! The amenities at the Club, I thought, were much better than staying at a hotel -- plus the swimmable beach is rare in Cabo --and they even had a real bocce ball court! We had all of the room our family needed and then some, with fine food, a spa, brand new, huge fitness center and resort amenities that we always love at a fine resort. Plus, we could eat at The One & Only every day for breakfast or dinner. Just a fun, 5-minute golf cart ride away! A day did not go by as we entered the courtyard main door leading down the stairs to the view of the pool, spa, fire and sweeping ocean views, that we literally smiled each and every time. The house itself it stunning. The beds were very comfortable, furniture and art perfectly suited for a luxury vacation place without being stuffy or pretentious. Loved cooking here too -- the kitchen has high-end appliances, a grill and is stocked with every single item you could want for to make an amazing, local meal. David the owner and the staff at VDM was the cherry on top! Elda, Fernando, Ramon, Victor, Juan(pool), Rosey(masseuse), Manuel(trainer), Mimos(beach), security, valet -- EVERYONE really made us feel welcome and met our every request and need. From dinner prepared in the casita upon our arrival with a private chef to car services to a shopping excursion to dinner reservations outside of the property, nothing was missed and everything was perfecto! David, the owner, was the best owner we've ever had the pleasure of working with. He not only answered all of our many questions before the trip, he also gave us excellent recommendations and was diligent throughout our stay to make sure that the staff followed through. After trips to The Ritz in Grand Cayman and The Four Seasons in Costa Rica, we thought we had found paradise, but Casita 17 just topped our list! Muchas Gracias!!

Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous

You don’t need to be royalty to stay in this beautiful home, but you certainly feel that way. Views of the water, whales surfacing all day to entertain us, home was spectacular. We had a wonderful relaxing time. We look forward to returning again. David is an attentive owner and could not have been nicer.

Amazing views and great location!

Amazing views, great location, perfect place to relax or be active. The house was beautiful, property was well maintained, and had everything you could want. Many outdoor spaces to enjoy relaxing mornings on the patio, meals, and cocktails in the evening…we even saw whales one late afternoon! A hot tub and swim in the beautiful infinity pool were perfect after a round of golf. Easy access to private beach club with pool, restaurant, beach, and water sport equipment. The personnel were very friendly and would set you up with umbrellas and lounge chairs, also an assortment of activities including kayaking, paddle boards, and snorkeling. Great location to wonderful golf courses, restaurants, and night life. One of the many highlights was a couples massage on the large balcony, listening to the waves…doesn’t get any better than this. Exceeded all our expectations! Would definitely stay here again!

Casa 17 - Living the Dream!

This property has it all! Words can't describe the shear beauty of the property and the views. The property has been recently redecorated and is very well maintained. This is truly an exclusive rental and met all of our expectations. The owner was very accommodating. The unit is close to great restaurants and the charm of Los Cabos. We can't wait to go back and highly recommend living the dream at Casa 17!

Wonderful Home, better view!

Great location, close to San Jose shops and food. Close by grocery and a Costco for cooking in the spacious kitchen. Community clubs offer many activities. Super lay out with plush finishes everywhere. Very comfortable and relaxing. All this plus whales and turtles! Cannot wait to return...Thanks!

1st Class Luxury at its Finest!

Do this for yourself! This beautiful home could not have been any more perfect for our vacation. It is difficult to rate our favorite experience as they were all top notch! The view of The Sea of Cortez was breathtaking. The location of the villa is dead center and we saw it ALL. We witnessed constant whale sightings as added entertainment. The floorplan worked perfectly for all three couples as each bedroom was totally private, charmingly appointed, and had its own unique views. The outdoor entertainment areas were truly the best. We kept moving from one area to another during our stay just so we could take it all in! While it was fun to go out for lunch or dinner we really preferred staying at home for sunset cocktails, dinner cooked on the grill followed by desert and fire pit time. Late night swimming was fun too! The beach is a one minute golf cart ride from the villa. Club 96 has a magnificent multi-pool area with several restaurant choices. We ate under our umbrellas on the beach. The area had just about every beach toy imaginable. We also played golf at neayby Palmilla Golf Club...every hole had spectacular views. If you're looking to be pampered and live like royalty we very highly recommend you check this out!

Simply gorgeous! Outstanding property!

The home has the most spectacular view in the area. The furnishings are beautiful, outdoor living at its' best! Each bedroom has all the amenities, and the "bird's nest" has its' own large terrace for relaxing and massages! You never have to leave the house to enjoy sunning, swimming and whale watching! Easy access to the beach and Club 96 by golf cart! I would recommend this to anyone wanting the ultimate Cabo experience! A definite 10!!!

Great Time in San Jose

Wow! Our family just spent long weekend at Casita 17. Best weekend my wife and I have had in years (wink, wink) This place has it all. The layout is perfect, open family area and patio with unbelievable view of the water. Hot tub, infinity pool and fire pit and three separate private bedrooms. We put our teen boys upstairs and never heard a peep. Admittedly they fought over which could use the outside daybed, but after we worked out a swap each night the vacation went perfectly. Like everyone else – can’t say enough about the excellent service and amenities… Can’t wait to go back.

Didnt want to leave!

Three couples for a week - the best vacation we have had in years! Casita 17 is the most fabulous villa! The view is fabulous and the decor is elegant yet casual. The villa is completely private. Villas del Mar is the finest resort along the whole corridor with great service from the manager and the Club 96 is where we spent most off our days. Dinner on the veranda overlooking the Palmilla One & Only Resort was so romantic or in San Jose was lots of fun. We saw no reason to even get close to Cabo San Lucas.
