A gem nestled between Eumundi and Yandina

Tara Hill Cottage is located on a 10-acre property with a couple of cows, chooks, a delightful vege garden and our resident Golden Retriever, Daph. It’s where you can do everything, do nothing, or something in between.

Ideal for couples and families, the cottage is newly built and immaculate inside and out. We offer two bedrooms, with the main bedroom having a queen bed, ensuite and built-in robe, and the second bedroom with two singles and built-in robe. The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, stove top, fridge, dishwasher and microwave. While this is a self-catering stay, we offer our guests local Yandina “Pioneer Roastery” coffee, a variety of teas, milk, a few other essentials and fresh herbs at the back door. The deck has a gas BBQ and seating for 4. The property has reverse cycle air-conditioning to keep you cool in the summer months and warm in winter with fans in the living area and bedrooms. There is a washing machine and clothes rack. At the moment there is no dryer, however, I am happy to dry items if needed. We have Optus Wi-Fi, a smart android TV and a portable speaker. Our house is conveniently located 100 metres from Tara Hill Cottage should you need anything at all; however, we completely respect your privacy. You will need to provide your own cot and highchair for infants and toddlers as these are not currently available. Please note that we are not able to accommodate pets.

A great midwinter stay

We enjoyed our 5 day midwinter stay at this property. The property was fabulous and in a great rural location around 30 minutes drive to Sunshine Coast beaches

Excellent short stay.

Lovely airey cottage in quiet location and close to every where we needed to go. Everything we needed and more was at hand.

Great Place for a break

Great 2 night break. Lovely quiet, scenic setting, spotless throughout, all the essentials and more provided, very comfortable, great host, would highly recommend. Will definitely be staying there again soon😃

Wonderful and relaxing hinterland property

The house has everything you could want from kitchen gadgets to vegetables and herbs! Meg is a charming and helpful host and I can’t wait for my next visit!

Great find

Loved our stay at Tara Hill. Cottage was well appointed with all you need in terms of cooking, cleaning and space. Would have stayed longer if we could have.

Absolutely beautiful

Such a gorgeous property to stay at. We had such a wonderful time and if staying on the coast again we will be back as it was perfect for our little family. Meg was so lovely and nothing was ever a problem. Highly recommend staying!

Modern, peaceful Retreat

We found the 2 bedroom/2 bathroom home above expectations, all facilities provided. Ideal location being close to Yandina, the Sunshine Coast and the Hinterland. Friendly communication with owner. Would stay again.

A Perfect Place to relax

This cottage has exceeded my expectations. Plenty of Space and fully equipped. Located in a very Remote Place, very quiet! The Porch is fantastic, with a nice view over grass, a Pond and some horses. Megan is a Great Host!

Delightful country experience

The owners Meg and Noel can take full credit for making Tara Cottage what it is. Whilst always assuring our privacy, our overall experience was much enhanced with their many thoughtful touches. We quite simply loved this cottage with it's fresh, comfortable style together with the ambient rural setting. We were also impressed with how accurate the property compared with the description and photos on this site. Yes, we definitely intend to visit again!

Tranquil Retreat

We arrived at this beautiful tranquil retreat feeling very happy with our choice of accommodation for our short stay. The beautiful owner came to greet us and gave us fresh supplies for breakfast and there was local organic milk in the fridge. We enjoyed the quiet location very much. We slept very soundly in the super comfortable bed and the cottage had all the things you needed to cook your own meals if that is what you wanted. Close to Yandina and Mt Ninderry and other places on the Sunshine Coast. Highly recommend this beautiful cottage. Thank you to our host Megan and her family for sharing their piece of paradise 🌺

Simply gorgeous!

I give this property and our stay 5 stars! It was lovely and Megan and Noel were very friendly. Such a gorgeous wee cottage, with all the amenities. I have to say this is one of those rare occasions where the stay exceeded my expectations - the photos don't quite do it justice. I was in desperate need of some sleep and some quiet time, and Tara Cottage delivered. There was also heaps of space for my 8 years old to run around, kick a football, or just chill in the hammock. I'll definitely be returning soon!

A quiet and welcoming retreat from the crowds

I was visiting with my family from Canada (I'm originally from Australia). Tara Hill Cottage gave us the perfect central location to base ourselves and to decompress after busy day trips to the coast and other places in the region. Megan and Noel were welcoming and friendly and we were very appreciative of their offer to allow our 10-year-old to collect eggs and feed the cows. He really enjoyed the experience. The cottage is attractive, modern, very comfortable and had everything we needed. Highly recommended.

A newly built cottage with all the amentities. Quiet beautiful place away from city. Host is very friendly and understanding. Eventhough fire pit not included, she has provided us with a fire pit and logs. My kids had a fantastic time feeding emma and jemimah,the 🐄s ,play time with the pet dog,they even got some fresh eggs from the chicken coop. Wide range of play items for kids . Good phone receptions. Neat clean facility.

Oasis in Yandina

Absolutely fantastic from start to finish.We were a family of three women looking to get away for some peace and quiet together.We were greeted by Megan in the afternoon who gave us a warm greeting and some farm fresh eggs.Location was superb close to Ginger Factory and the Nutworks.We went to the Yandina Hotel for lunch which was wonderful good food reasonably priced.Close by is an IGA for your last minute grocery’shopping.If you were interested in going to the beach it was a short drive away. 10/10 for Tara Cottage.Everything was spot on for comfort and cleanliness and peaceful.A little home away from home. I cannot fault this property.and we hope to be back again.Thank you Megan

Absolutely beautiful

This property is super relaxing with a beautiful outlook. The cottage is perfect for 4 people, it was very clean and fresh. Megan had supplied a cheese platter and bottle of champagne upon arrival and then she delivered 6 fresh eggs laid from her chickens. There were 3 of us staying and the possibility of my great nephew spending 1 night. When we asked if this would be ok, Megan didn’t have a problem and wasn’t going to charge us extra. He didn’t end up staying but at least he had the opportunity. We were there for a family wedding in Eumundi (approx 7min drive). I wish we had more time in the cottage.Thank you Megan and Noel, I highly recommend your property and you made our stay very relaxing and extra special.
