The owner was great. Very fast to answer any questions and very concientious when it came to making sure we were happy. The house included all necessties and was very clean.

Cedar Rapids Golf Weekend

Cozy comfortable house with cute backyard. Great place to relax after days of golfing and touring the Amana Colonies. Host (Alex) was welcoming, timely and informative via the VRBO App. We had a very nice stay.

All of the comforts of home

This is our second time staying with Alex and, if available, we will continue to stay with Alex when we come to CR to visit family. This home is just as it is listed and has everything you will need. Alex is very responsive and we appreciate his hospitality.

Comfortable Home. Close to Everything.

I really enjoyed this VRBO. It was comfortable, clean, and it was close to everything that we came to do. We brought our dog with us, which wasn't a problem for the owner of this property. Overall, he was very responsive and checked on us through our stay. Great place.

Exploring Iowa hiking with dogs

The location served well for exploring hiking trails with my dogs, including access to many options in Cedar Rapids as well as Dubuque and Davenport. The place was very clean and comfortable, with some staples available for cooking. The host checked in just to be sure the stay was going smoothly and kept me well informed beforehand.

My review

Overall we had a good experience with this property. If I had anything to add it would be that the kitchen could use a few more items- more silverware and glasses.. Maybe leave a couple more towels as well. Nice house tho. Comfortable stay overall!

Enjoyed Our Stay Until ....

Alex is very responsive and easy to contact. The house was nice and had almost everything youā€™d need but had a strong smoke odor which took a few days to dissipate. The neighborhood is diverse and like an inner city residence. Neighbors were nice. We had to cut our trip short because of the devastating storm that swept through Iowa and hit Cedar Rapids particularly hard. A tree fell across the front yard and street and hit a corner of the house. They graciously refunded our remaining stay.

Exceeded Every Expectation

Home was warm, welcoming, sparkling clean and stocked with everything imaginable. Alex has not only thought of everything he is incredibly thoughtful- he even noticed one day when we had been out all day that it had gotten chilly in the house (remote thermostat) and messaged to see if we'd like him to turn the heat on. Neighborhood is conveniently located to everything and neighbors were very friendly.

Quiet, Conveniently located to downtown Cedar Rapids, Charming older home.

This house has beautiful hardwood floors in the living, dining and bedrooms. Clean kitchen and appliances with plenty of staples and cleaning products. We enjoyed grinding the coffee beans for a rich cup of coffee, even cinnamon found in the cabinet. Adequate bedding and towels were provided. Very timely and responsive communication from the owner. Always had a parking spot directly in front of the house. Lots of room to spread out for a family of 4. Thanks again Alex for your hospitality.

The house is very pleasant and clean. It was fully equipped with everything I needed and Alex was extremely helpful whenever I needed him. He even mailed my phone charger to me (which I had left behind) and it was waiting for me when I got home.

Sparkling clean, cleverly refurbished small house tastefully decorated eclectically with modern amenities. Highlights include inviting front porch, back patio, fast internet, powerful central air, good mattresses & bedding, free of clutter so guests have space. Would have given five stars if it had off street parking in a bit better neighborhood but conveniently located. Priced well. Great communication from owner. I would stay there again! I enjoyed the original artwork on the walls, quite good!

The property looked to be recently updated. The house was clean and orderly. Hotel like conveniences such as bottled water and the ability to make coffee with fresh ground beans. We were looking for a nice place to primarily stay the night at and it met our criteria and goals.
