Family Vacation

This is such a cute house and it's pet friendly. We really enjoyed our stay here. It's conveniently located. Just a short drive to any of Hot Springs' attractions.

The hostess was great and we had no issues checking in. The home was lovely, however, it was not cleaned prior to our stay. There were candy wrappers everywhere. My husband pulled back the bedding and there was dog hair all over the fitted sheet. One of the bath towels, hanging on the towel rack, had a red sucker stuck to it. The hostess was very responsive and offered to send the cleaning crew to change the bedding but we decided to go to a hotel instead as we weren’t sure what else may not have been cleaned and if the bedding, towels, etc. had actually been washed. Again, it was a nice home and we had no issues with the hostess. The cleaning crew just did not do their job!

Loved our stay.

The lakehouse was great! We came for a family reunion. We brought our two children and met my father and mother in law. The inside was beautiful and the kitchen had everything we needed. The driveway was a little confusing. It is the lighter tan colored one and the house it set behind other houses. A picture of where to turn would be helpful. The only complaint were that the mattresses were thinner than normal and that the beds were very low to the floor. It was especially difficult for my in laws to get up and down.

Beautiful house

It was a lovely house with plank floors, comfy beds, nice kitchen. Everything was in good working order. I loved the upstairs bedroom, I felt like I was in the trees. There was a swing on the porch that I never wanted to leave and lots of birds singing their songs.

Nice home in a populated area

We enjoyed our stay at this home. It was very clean and welcoming. A couple things to be aware of; the second bedroom is really a loft, there is no privacy other than being upstairs. Also, the home is in a populated area so we were disappointed by the number of homes that were right next-door to us and in front of us.The dock was at the end of the driveway and there was no land around it. We felt that we would have more of a water view and access to the shore. We also had some trouble with wasps in the house. But the home was well taken of and clean. The location was good for accessing all areas of Hot Springs.

Nice little place but not for all

Nice little spot off the beaten path. The boat dock needs updated. Seemed a potential hazard and definitely not for littles. Bed on first floor has broken frame making the mattress sink and terrible for sleeping. Upstairs bed is good.

Be ready to roll

The property was beautiful. The house was clean cozy and well taken care of. However, the beds could use some updating. Although they were foam mattresses with no box springs the lowness made it feel as if you were sleeping in the floor and the bed sunk in the center. I felt like Ethel and Fred on i love Lucy where Ethel had to grab Fred’s nightdress and hook it under the bed to keep him secured on his side so they didn’t roll together in the middle. The fan in the downstairs bedroom made you stay on guard with the noise it made you didn’t know when it would release its hold and come crashing down. Our stay was delightful except those two things. The amenities were exactly what one would need.

Vacation

Everything was very clean and nice. The kitchen was well supplied. The only thing I didnt like was the roaming dogs on the property. We have one deaf dog and one half blind and deaf dog its my job to keep them safe at all times and I would have to watch for the other dog running up on us while mine used the restroom. The roaming dogs would leave when I asked it to but it would randomly show up or come in the yard while we were outside. It also followed us to the dock. The only other issue was only one remote had working batteries so we would have to take the batteries out share on the other remotes.

Great place but description is inaccurate

The house itself was great. Very clean and kitchen had most everything needed. Bed, as mentioned in other reviews were very low and mattress could/should be replaced. It is NOT on the lake as described. There is a small Trail that leads through/beside another property to get to the water. While we loved being able to have our dog with us, there really isn’t any safe area to take a dog walking. And yes, the neighbor clearly doesn’t keep their dog in a fence or indoors. He was friendly, but that is annoying. I wish you could pick this house up and drop it in a better location. If so, we’d definitely be back!

Great place on the lake.

Great place to stay on the lake. Took kayaks and launched right off the boat dock. Lots of great places to eat very near. House was clean and comfortable. Large yard, two porches to sit on and comfortable furnishings.

Cute little house but had its flaws

I honestly feel torn on how to rate this property. It's very cute and the owners clearly take good care of it. The place seemed clean but there was a lot of dust and the grass was too long. The thermostat had a lock on it so you couldn't choose your own temperature which was frustrating because it got hot at night. The dock is unusable because it looks like a safety hazard. It tilts and looks like it is in bad condition so I didn't feel safe stepping out on it. It also had a lot of poison ivy that you had to walk through to get to the lake. The living room is decorated very nicely but it doesn't really have enough seating for a family. It needs to have furniture outside on the deck too! I wouldn't say I'm super disappointed in this property but it wasn't my favorite either. It has a few small issues to work out.
