Quaint waterfront home with amazing beachfront entertainment area!

Small beachfront cottage just minutes from beautiful Traverse City, MI on M-22 (most recently recognized as the most scenic drive in the U.S.). 1,100 sq ft, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home located directly on the west side of West Bay. Includes 2 full beds, 2 twin beds, and one queen bed. Max occupancy is 6 adults (plus 4 kids under 5). All rooms have black-out curtains. The breeze off the cool water is usually sufficient, however, there is central air now available to keep you comfortable if we have unusually hot weather.

Home has furnished kitchen, washer/dryer, wifi, cable, gas grille, and 2 kayaks with life jackets.

Large deck with expansive view of power island, which was once owned by Henry Ford and visited by Babe Ruth. The upper deck has a dining set and cozy outdoor furniture to fully enjoy the view!

The entertainment area on the beach (CLOSED NOV-APRIL/MAY depending on the spring weather) includes outdoor bathroom with shower, 2 42-inch TV's to enjoy your favorite movie or game beachside. The beach bar has ample outdoor furnishings to relax and enjoy cocktails with family and friends. The WATER CHANGES from year to year and we have a small beach to enjoy this year.
Leelanau peninsula, old mission peninsula, and Sleeping Bear Dunes are all nearby attractions that offer a variety of options to keep you busy.

Such a delightful property! This is our second time staying at this home, and we had a wonderful experience both times. The house is clean and close to town. Having the beach right out the back door can’t be beat, and the lounge/bar area off the beach is so convenient. Such a fun getaway for the whole family!

Great beach house!!

Beautiful home right on the water. Bonus outdoor bar and living room where we slept one night. Woke up to sounds of waves and views of sailboats. Magical!

Beautiful view, comfy living!

Beautiful property, right on the bay. Easy access to the water for kids to walk in and enjoy the water. Bay views from 2 bedrooms and enjoyed the sounds of the waves crashing from the deck.

Adult getaway weekend

3 adult couples for a wine/brewery fall weekend. GREAT place to stay!!! Had everything we needed and was in the perfect location. Had the weather cooperated, would have definitely spent more time at the outdoor bar. Looking forward to coming back!

Perfect View and Perfect Location

Our family enjoyed being on the water and the beautiful views. We took out the kayaks in the morning, searched the rocks for treasures, and relaxed and enjoyed the view. The house was close to everything. We would definitely stay here again.

Incredible Traverse City Getaway

The property was clean and exactly as advertised. The back deck and patio beach area are amazing. I can't imagine a better set up to spend a summer day on the water. Communication was simple and smooth, will definitely be looking into coming back.

Awesome Traverse City Cottage on the water

This place is absolutely beautiful and amazing!!! It’s on the water with kayaks and chairs to sit on beach with your feet in the water. All the amenities you can imagine. We will return!!!

Beautiful Outdoor Areas

We really enjoyed our stay at this property! The view, lower bar and location were perfect. The house was very clean and the owners were nice to work with. There was no dock due to a storm that had apparently ruined it, but this was not an issue for us. Our only real issue was that the outdoor patio cushions needed to be replaced and there could have been a better selection of pans for cooking. We still plan to come back as soon as we can. We loved it.

Great location and view

Coffee pot was not working right but we managed to make it work. Missing soap and shampoo in showers. We had to stop by store to get them. Good paper towels, garbage bags Trash cans were full. Love gas fire outdoors.

Nice House for a Quick Wine Tasting Weekend

We had a group of 6 who stayed a couple of nights for a wine tasting weekend. The home is clean, well cared for, and exactly as pictured online with the exception of the beach area. Unfortunately, due to extremely high water levels in Lake Michigan, the beach is essentially gone. Hopefully this resolves! Other than that, nice place to stay. Kitchen was well equipped, everything was very comfortable.

Best stay ever!

I have been traveling to Traverse City for 20+ years with my Mom and my 7 aunts. This was our first stay on this property and it was absolutely amazing! We kept commenting all week on how clean it was! We loved all of the outdoor space. The lower deck with the bar and bathroom was a fun spot to hang out. Kayaks and paddleboards were fun in the morning! The upper deck for morning coffee and to sit by the fire table at night was awesome. The location was perfect as we traveled to Suttons Bay and Leland to experience Fishtown. We already booked this same property for next year (before we even left). Very close to downtown Traverse City which we plan on exploring next year. Thank you so much for a great time!

Perfect house, perfect location!

We had the most wonderful family vacation. First off, the house is so gorgeous. Our young boys had a great time playing out on the small beach, we kayaked, lounged and just had the best time utilizing all the amenities provided. All areas of the house felt fully stoked and well cared for. Ky was a very responsive and kind host. We had the smallest issue with one of the toilets and he had is fixed within an hour of discussing it with him. We have a property that we rent and I know all the care and dedication that goes into running and beautiful, smooth operating home and they have mastered that here. Highly recommend this property. We were two families vacationing together - 4 adults, 4 young children - and it was so spacious and comfortable for our group. Book this place and enjoy a wonderful vacation !!

What a peaceful getaway! Can't beat the sound of gentle waves all night.

We had a bachelor party weekend and this place could not have been more fitting. The weather was beautiful and the outdoor area is the ultimate set up. We enjoyed bumming it on the beach and the outdoor bar with 2 big screens keeping an eye on the baseball/ football games. Already looking for an excuse to come back for another stay! The only inconvenience we had was we couldn't get the coffee pot to work at all. We noticed there was a small spare and when we tried to use that one, the coffee overflowed out of the filter and wouldn't drain into the pot. Wasn't a big deal, there was a speedway right up the road to grab our morning coffee. Overall the place far exceeded our expectations. Thank you so much for our stay, this place truly made memories that will last a life time!

4th of July

We had a great weekend on the bay. The views are incredible. We were pleased to find out that there was a nice sandy area for the kids to play although it does get rocky quick so you’ll want water shoes. We were able to moor our pontoon in front of the house which was also a plus. My only complaints are cleanliness - the dining table was dirty and it seemed like the cleaning process was rushed. Also the pictures in the listing are confusing. We expected an upstairs and a downstairs with 2 living areas however the indoor space is all on one level. It was a little tight with our 8 guests but we made it work. The outdoor bar space is phenomenal and great for a group of friends. Overall we had a great time.

Beautiful views for a restful stay

We thoroughly enjoyed the absolutely beautiful for you off the deck and having access to the beach right on property. The lapping of the waves was very peaceful to listen to in the evening when going to bed. The house was well supplied for things that we needed for our stay. Ky was very responsive and helpful. The communication with Kai was exceptional, Ky even started our dinner once the crockpot was brought over, which meant our family was able to have a wonderful sit down meal after a busy day of preparing for our son’s wedding. The location on the peninsula makes it easy to head north, head west or head south into Traverse City, which was a very convenient for the plans that we had. The house is situated on a busy road, and there was quite a bit of road noise. However saying that, it’s something that you just ignore once you see the view and hear the lake waves. There was ample parking for our multiple vehicles, and the maintenance man was very helpful with respect to our cardboard boxes and tending to the lawn and letting us know that he was there. Which was very nice. We would definitely stay here again for our next trip to Traverse City.
