Gorgeous Lakefront Cottage!! The perfect "Up-North" getaway!

Beautiful lakefront cottage available for two day minimum rentals during Fall, Winter and Spring and week long rentals during the Summer. Perfect for long weekend trips up north or for your family summer vacation! Spacious 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath home with hardwood floors. Nicely furnished and decorated. Open floor plan with nice kitchen, living room and dining area plus an all season sun porch with amazing lake views. Washer/Dryer also included. Gorgeous views of the lake to enjoy through the large picture windows. Very quiet street, private and secluded, yet only 15-20 minutes from all amenities Traverse City has to offer. Two queen beds, one double bed and one pull-out queen bed to sleep up to 7-8 comfortably. Queen beds are located in two good sized bedrooms, double bed located in a smaller bedroom (best for one person or two children) and pull-out located in the sun porch. Central Air Conditioning, Wi-Fi, SmartTV and premium cable.

Great wooded lot set back from the road with circle driveway. Beautiful two-tiered composite deck for lots of outdoor living space. Easy slope down to the water with no long staircases. The cottage is on a great part of the lake on the peninsula. Perfectly clear water with no murkiness. Nice large dock. Kayaks available. Great fishing available in Spider Lake as well. Very close to snowmobile trails and rental spots in the winter! Minutes from Grace Macdonald Park which has sports fields, tennis, basketball & volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, pavilion area with grills and picnic tables, hiking trails, playgrounds equipment and sledding hill.

Two night minimum rentals in Fall/Spring with varying price points. One week minimum rental mid June - Labor Day (Sunday-Sunday rentals). Well-behaved dogs considered, please discuss ahead of time. Contact Nikki for more information and availability.

Perfect stay! 10/10 - would definitely return. Wonderfully cozy and outfitted cabin, comfortable beds, and beautiful views. As three adult women (who all like to have a little bit of private space), we couldn't have imagined a better place; a great basecamp for adventures *and* for quiet reading days.

Great Cottage

We loved our stay. Everything was well thought out for guests. Clean and comfortable and in a great location.The lake is clean and nice with lots of birds to listen to and loons to watch.

We enjoyed our stay in this lake front cottage. The view was great and it was so peaceful at night. Nikki has done a great job decorating the cottage and putting any essentials you may need in the cottage and on the property. The pontoon rental that is offered is worth it, we spent almost every evening out on it fishing and checking out the houses on the lake. Thank you for being so accommodating Nikki!

We spent a wonderful week at the LakeFront Cottage. The cottage was very clean, well stocked with everything we needed, beautiful, and quiet. The beds were comfortable. Easy access, plenty of parking and a dock right on the lake. We caught some nice fish right off the dock. Kayaking in the morning was awesome. We enjoyed the short drive to shopping and site seeing around Traverse city. The stay exceed our expectations and we look forward to booking another trip at the cottage.

Cozy lake cabin weekend getaway

The lake cabin was perfect for our family's long weekend trip to Traverse City. Whether it was the huge windows in the livingroom, the multilevel deck with comfy sitting, or the chairs on the dock, there were so many great spots to sit want enjoy the beautiful Spider lake. The three rooms were more than enough space for our family, and we could of accommodated at least 2-3 more people easily. Finally, the property was a quick drive into town. Overall, a great place for our family!

Great lakehouse for the Fall

Had a great time at this home for a week in early October. Looking out over the lake, fall colors, pontoon boat rides, fishing. Cozy with a great layout and outdoor spaces. We really enjoyed it. We will try to come back in the summer to really enjoy the lake and water sports to their fullest.

Lovely Relaxing Stay

This cottage is absolutely gorgeous. It’s fully stocked, clean, and felt very much like our home away from home. The lake is beautiful. We loved sitting on the deck with our morning coffee and taking in the view. If you are patient, you may be able to see the local loons. Our 2 dogs loved everything about being here. It was so nice to be able to bring them along. Nikki was a wonderful host. She was easy to communicate with and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. We look forward to staying here again when we are in the area.

Centrally located!

This cabin is so homey, you’ll feel like it’s your second home! Everything is well taken care of and the view is spectacular! The neighbors are friendly too! Would 10/10 stay here again! The house has everything you need, so when they say fully stocked, believe it!

Beautiful Dog Friendly Cottage

What a perfect place to stay. We felt at home immediately. The layout was perfect for a girls weekend. We loved the cozy fireplace and watching the sunrise through the large windows. We drank our coffee on the deck and the dogs loved playing in the lake. It was close to TC but far enough away to be quiet and relaxing. We loved it.

Wedding getaway

Beautiful view. Less lake noise than expected.Inside worked well for a family stay age 30-87 with 2 dogs. Quite a few steps to enjoy the outside...gave the 87 year old pause, but joined us anyway. Just a good place to hang out.

Quiet and Relaxing Cottage

We visited mid-winter. The cottage was as described, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The host was very responsive and easy to reach. We had about 6-7" of snowfall the day before we left, and Nikki was prompt about getting someone out to plow the driveway so that we wouldn't have any problems getting to the airport in the morning. Great place...we would consider coming back in the summer, when we could take advantage of more outdoor activities.

Great Stay

Property was a nice quiet location and we LOVED Spider Lake. It was the perfect size and mix of fun and quiet. Beautiful location. We enjoyed the fire pit and dock many times. It’s about 15-20 minutes from Traverse City so close enough yet far enough for some peace and quiet. We had a little plumbing issue while staying there but the owner was fast in getting a neighbor over to get it taken care of. The only negatives were the main bed was a little uncomfortable and there wasn’t an actual spatula but otherwise it was well stocked with lots of spices and condiments. Lots of family time cooking and playing cards at the house. It was us and our two kids (15 & 12) and the bedroom set up was great for them. Would recommend!

Hi Cassie - glad you enjoyed your stay at Spider Lake! Thanks for the info on the mattress and the spatula. We just replaced the master bedroom mattress with a new Casper and we bought some new spatulas. It's always helpful when guests let us know what is missing or what can be improved.

Old School Cottage with Updates

This updated cottage from the 1950's allowed for our desired access to the water (even my 91-year-old father was able to easily get down to the dock with just a little help for balance). We were bummed that the pontoon wasn't available but kept our jet ski right there. The views from the cottage and deck were outstanding! Our family (2 parents, 1 grandparent, and 3 early 20's) could've used a second full bathroom, but having the half bath helped. The pullout couch/porch area was also a helpful additional bedroom area. I appreciate the old time cottage scent, but the family room and porch furniture need a good steam cleaning. The decks and dock were well furnished and provided a choice of sun or shade. The property owner was quick to respond to our communication. Nice neighbors, great fishing off the dock, just outside of downtown, too. Looking for an updated old school cottage with an amazing view? This is your place!

Super cute but could use some added cleaning

Crazy cute. Lake was peaceful and quiet. Decor was charming. Beds were comfortable. Loved the deck and the added propane fire pit. House could have used some more attention to cleaning. Comforter in my room was nothing short of disgusting, hair (pet and human) all over the underside which made us question how well things were cleaned. Found an antidepressant script bottle and pills under the dresser. Bedding was washed with fabric softener that was scented which caused my mother who is allergic issues. Was promised kayaks and up boards, had exchanged messages with the owner about them. They were not out and available. Owner did provide basement keypad code for us to get out ourselves. Very cute lights on the back deck, issue was they were on a sensor and on all night which lighted up one of the bedrooms. I would stay here again, but was disappointed with the items I mentioned. Location was great. Saw large fish swimming in the lake from the deck. Just wish more attention was paid to house keeping items.

Katrina, I am so sorry about your experience with the cleaning. This is highly unusual as my cleaning person has always done a fabulous job. I have spoken to her about your concerns. I also apologize about the kayaks and paddleboards not being out yet, our dock was installed late this year due to poor weather, so we weren't able to put them out as early as in years past.

What a beautiful home!! My first time staying in a home, and if they are all like this, no more motels for me! Location, cleanliness, amenities, views, decor …. all A++++++. We had a wonderful weekend making memories!
