The Thiede House worked out perfect for our family. We were out of town for my daughters wedding, and the large kitchen/dining area, garage, and large yard with plenty of tables and chairs allowed our family to prepare everything we needed. Plenty of beds for 6 adults and 6 children. Dan and Pennae are terrific hosts. They went out of there way to ensure we had everything we needed. The house was very clean, welcoming, and ready for us on our arrival. Pannae responded quickly to any questions we had, and made this a very enjoyable weekend. I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy all of the amenities the area has to offer. The house is across the street from Lake Michigan with the walking/biking path that runs along the shoreline, and steps leading to the beach all right there. Highly recommended.

Hosts were very friendly and welcoming. They shared great information about the area. The kitchen was well stocked and the house was very clean. We also really loved the convenience of having the lake right across the street. We hope to come back next summer.

Excellent Stay

Incredible house. Perfect for our family gathering. Fully stocked and equipped with everything you could possibly need. There was a bonus twin bedroom that was great and came in handy. Everything was labeled and great signage on how to use everything. Property is located right on the main lakefront road so there is easy driving access to nearby downtown areas. Beach and walking trails are right across the road. Nice big yard and lots of room to spread out.

This property was everything for our family vacation for 10. It was great for the Grandpa of the family who has limited mobility as everything he needed was on the first floor. The second floor was great for Grandkids and their parents. Hosts were great!

A short stay in a nice house

Ten of us spent two nights here in mid-May. A minor location downside this summer is the highway construction all along the lakefront from Two Rivers to Manitowoc. Driving in either direction is a slow, one lane affair on pretty rough surfaces, potentially behind slow moving trucks.Aside from this, the house was great. Beds were comfortable and the large family room areas were put to good use each day, as was the fire ring outside.Lots of fun; will consider again for future trips.

Family Time Getaway

A perfect home for families to come together. Plenty of room in the 5 listed bedrooms (upon arrival we noticed an additional twin was in a spare room on the main level). We all commented on the comfortable beds and nice pressure in the shower. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash s dispensers were in the shower, nice perk. The three season room was nice for extra space for the kids to catch a break watching some TV and playing while the adults had a chance to visit in the family room or to sit with a cup of coffee in the morning and look over Lake Michigan. Owners were welcoming and responsive about check-in/check-out procedures and made our stay easy. Nice location between Two Rivers and Manitowoc.

Wonderful hosts and cozy home

Dan and Pennae were sweet and wonderful hosts. They were very detailed and had great communication.Theide House is nestled in between Manitowac and Two Rivers. Providing quick access to both places. The house had plenty of room and amenities for my family of 7. Our short trip had multiple days of snowfall and Dan was always up in the morning shoveling the driveway and clearing snow off our vehicles. We'll need to make another trip out when the weather is warmer.

Fantasic family experience

Beautiful lake views, excellent amount of hot water. Cozy and spacious. Comfortable beds and loungers. Very kid friendly. Excellent towels,host was fabulous and very responsive. The house was very clean, nicely maintained, well furnished throughout, and seasonally decorated.

Lovely But Lacking

Our biggest complaint was that there wasnā€™t any AC on the main level. We found fans, but it was quite difficult to enjoy the house with the distraction of near 90* weather and humidity. We traveled with kids ranging from 18 months- 7 years, but even after they went to bed, the house was sticky. The owner was pleasant to work with, but directions on how to turn on dining room lights, what buildings were considered ā€œgarageā€ and ā€œwarehouseā€ werenā€™t clear, and lightbulbs needed to be changed before we got there. Location was great though! We loved being so close to the beach. Neighbors were friendly too.

Spacious, lovely, impeccably clean property with lake view. We especially enjoyed the sun porch! Good location near many activitiesā€”hiking, museums, restaurants. Very friendly and helpful host. Highly recommend!

Hidden Gem!

If you are looking for a place to get away and relax directly across from the lake, this is it! There was plenty of space for 6 adults and 4 kids. It was very clean and the hosts were wonderful, very communicative, and checked in to make sure everything was going okay. It's a great place to stay!

A gem by Lake Michigan

Wonderful property right across the street from Lake Michigan. Our hosts went far and above our expectations meeting all our needs, even when our runners needed ice packs and heating pads after the Maritime Marathon. We will definitely be back next year if we run again. Highly recommend!
