Welcome to your private lakeside escape near Miskwabi Lake, a peaceful retreat nestled in the trees, perfect for families and groups looking to relax, recharge, and enjoy nature. With beautiful surroundings, a private path to the water, and a wide range of lake activities, this is the perfect place to slow down and make lasting memories.

On the main level, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen stocked with everything needed to prepare meals: whether it’s a relaxed breakfast, a casual lunch, or a shared dinner after a day on the lake. The open living and dining areas offer a warm and inviting space to gather, with comfortable seating perfect for board games, movie nights, or simply unwinding together. Large windows bring in natural light and offer glimpses of the surrounding forest, creating a cozy cottage atmosphere. Step outside to enjoy the fresh air, where you can relax and take in the peaceful setting.

A 5-minute walk down your private path leads to Miskwabi Lake, where you’ll find sandy beach access and a dock: perfect for swimming, lounging, or enjoying time by the water. Guests have access to a variety of water amenities, including 2 kayaks, 1 canoe, 1 paddleboard, seasonal inflatables, and kids’ sand toys, making it easy for both adults and children to enjoy the lake. Whether you’re paddling out for a quiet morning, floating in the sun, or watching the kids play along the shore, there’s something here for everyone. Please note that the dock is shared with a neighbour, and due to the proximity to other docks you might see and interact with other neighbours, who are all a friendly bunch.

In the evenings, gather around the outdoor firepit to roast marshmallows, share stories, and enjoy the stars. Surrounded by nature, the property offers a quiet and private setting that makes it easy to disconnect and recharge.

Sleeping arrangements:

- Bedroom 1: Comfortable Double bed with wardrobe
- Bedroom 2: Comfortable Double bed with wardrobe
- Bedroom 3: Twin Bunk bed (please note these mattresses are thinner and more suitable for children)

Bathrooms:
• Bathroom 1: Full bathroom w/ shower and shampoo, conditioner and body wash.
We include towels (1 per guest) during your stay and all linens, pillows and comforter. Bring extra towels if you need!

Lookout Cove is located less than 20 minutes from the town of Haliburton, that has all necessary shopping including the Beer Store, LCBO, grocery stores, Tim Hortons and much more. Haliburton also houses hiking trails, atv trails, Head Lake with boat launch, Arena

Pre-Arrival Information:
After your booking is confirmed, we’ll send a short pre-arrival form for the primary guest to complete. This helps us prepare for your stay and includes basic details such as guest contact information, names of additional guests, confirmation of house rules, and your expected arrival time. The form only takes a few minutes to complete and ensures a smooth check-in experience. Once submitted, we’ll provide full check-in and access instructions.

Parking: The driveway is steep, so we recommend vehicles with good traction. Parking is available for up to 2–3 vehicles. You can park up top if needed.

Power Outages:
Occasional power outages can happen in cottage country. Most outages are short-lived. You can check real-time updates on the Hydro One website (QR code provided in the house manual). No refunds will be issued for outages unless they are prolonged (12+ hours) and significantly impact your stay.

Shared Amenities:
The dock and outdoor firepit by the lake is shared with our neighbor. It is a small and friendly neighbourhood community.

Lake Access:
The lake is accessed via a 5-min walk on a private forest path from the property. Please take care when walking to and from the water, especially with children.

Water Toys:
We have a deck box with inflatables by the dock, as well as 2 kayaks, 1 canoe, 1 paddleboard, 2 tubes, and kids' sand toys. We also have dock chairs if you'd like to lounge by the dock. Please make sure to put everything back after use so it doesn't fly away. Any missing or broken items will be charged accordingly.

Basement/Bunkie Access:
The basement or bunkie is not accessible to guests.

Pet Policy:
We are pet-friendly and allow 1 dog per stay. Please ensure your dog is well-behaved, supervised at all times, and cleaned up after. Additional cleaning fees may apply if excessive mess or damage is left behind.

Firewood:
Firewood on-site is for the outdoor firepit only.

Additional note: Currently our neighbors are doing some renovations, there may be some construction noise heard from the cottage.
