The cottage was very clean and had a beautiful view. The hosts communicated very well about any questions we had. Would stay here again for sure.

Amazing property, views. Hot tub was great. It was definitely worth the stay. Cottage has everything you'd need or forget.Hosts were great to deal with no issues what so ever. Highly recommended.

We had a very relaxing stay. The cottage is located on a wonderful quiet lake and it is fully stocked with great amenities as advertised. They thought of everything!

We try to make guests’ stay as easy as possible by providing as much as we can :) It is so easy to relax there! Being on a quiet lake is the best.

This place was fantastic. It was beautiful and clean. It was exactly as advertised. We had everything we needed and more. The hosts were great. They left some recommendations of things to do in the area.

We really enjoyed our time here. The screened in deck was great, especially on the one rainy day. The lake is nice and it's quiet. The cottage was spotless, and the bed was even comfortable.

Andrew and Hali have created the ultimate cottage experience for visiting families. Excellent hosts, endless amenities, so peaceful and comfortable. And pet friendly! A perfect getaway.

Wonderful place!

This was a great place for a mid-week getaway. The lake was quiet; perfect for paddling and swimming. And when we weren’t in or on the lake, the screened porch was perfect for relaxing. A well-equipped cottage with a very welcoming host.

Our stay was lovely. The view is beautiful, nice and quiet. Check in and out was easy. And communication with our hosts was simple. The cottage was clean and cozy. The little added attention to details were noticed. Lots of stairs to burn off those added calories.

A Relaxing Week

We had an awesome week spent at Castaway North Lodge. Our host was very helpful & extremely receptive to any questions we had. The cottage was well equipped with anything & everything we needed for the week. The kitchen especially was loaded with anything we could have wanted. The lake was lovely & the sounds of the loons, so relaxing. The kayaks & canoe were an added bonus. The enclosed porch was a favourite spot for everyone. The only slight caveat was the access from the road to the cottage & the cottage to the lake. If you have any mobility issues, there are many steps to deal with. But overall, a wonderful week. Thank you, Andrew.

Nicest cottage we've ever been to!!!

Hali and Andrew are fantastic hosts. We recently had the pleasure of staying at their beautiful cottage, and it was by far the nicest we've ever been to! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the incredible view that greeted us. The screened balcony quickly became our favourite spot to relax, eat meals, and take in the stunning scenery. The big hot tub next to the outdoor day bed looks like a scene out of Love Island and was an absolute highlight. It provided the perfect setting for unwinding and enjoying the view of the lake. We also loved spending time on the spacious dock at the lake, where we could tan, fish, swim, and enjoy the big Loon Float-eh (we brought our own floaties but never blew them up). The presence of the loons added such a peaceful and authentic touch to our stay. Hali and Andrew's attention to detail was evident throughout the cottage. We appreciated the cozy blankets scattered around, which made our evenings even more comfortable. The kitchen was a joy to use with its beautiful dishes and well-stocked cooking utensils. One thing to note is the number of steps between the cottage and the lake. While we found it manageable and enjoyed the bit of exercise, it's something future guests should be aware of if they struggle with mobility issues. Overall, our stay was perfect, and we are so grateful for the opportunity to experience Castaway. Thank you for creating such a magical and welcoming retreat. We can't wait to return!

Thank you for such amazing feedback! We love to hear how our guests enjoyed the cottage and also how they used it. Our favourite spots are the screened in porch and the lower open deck! The loons on the lake are very special, especially now when there are two sets of babies to watch for. We also love the hummingbirds that come to the feeder on the upper deck. The stairs to the dock are something to be aware of and we will review our description to make sure it is accurate. Thank you for mentioning this. Your group was fantastic and we are happy you had such a great time. We truly enjoy sharing this space with others as we feel it is a special place.

We had an amazing time during our stay. The cottage was clean and contained everything needed to have a wonderful vacation. The host was extremely responsive and went the extra mile to help us during our stay. I would recommend this cottage 10 out of 10 times to family and friends.
