This property was wonderful. It was comfortable and spacious. A quiet neighborhood for walks in the morning and evening. Close proximity to lots of fun activities. Thank you for the stay.

Great place for family and dog

The house was as advertised, pictures are honest. Good space for family and dog to hang out between events. Neighborhood was good for walking the dog. Convenient location to our events, easy access to freeways and main streets. Very nice furnishings.

Great Vacation

The property was exactly as advertised. Located in a charming neighborhood a few blocks from Liberty Station. Per friendly, enclosed yard, and a view of downtown San Diego! What more can you ask for? Would love to stay here again soon.

The Dewberry Review

The property was great and the kitchen was extremely well stocked.Had I know the airplane flight path, I would NOT have chosen this facility.Three of us are over 70 so railing on the front porch would have been helpful.One of the lawn chairs was broken and we could have used a few more towels.Dew

Hidden gem close by to all the main freeways

This is a sweetheart property hidden away in the Loma portal hills. The balcony has view of the downtown SD skyline. We love watching planes take off in the evenings during golden hour. Beautiful sight! The bedrooms are very spacious and the living area has super comfortable modern clean vibe. This is a very dog friendly environment with a beautiful well taken care of front and back garden. Our fur baby loves the gardens always sniffing at something. The neighborhood is full of paw friends too and makes the daily walks a happy experience. The bonus room is super nice and yes, is a "bonus" to have a quiet area with a large TV and comfy couch! The kitchen is one of the nicest and very well stocked we've had the pleasure to experience. Has everything you could ever need. It's the details that matter, and we noticed they had a new washing up sponge for us to use. All in all, this is a great vacation home and would highly recommend to anyone looking for something central to SD. Thank you for opening your beautiful home us to experience.

Modern, open plan but NO COFFFEE!

Beautiful home, modern, light and airy. It was perfect for our family of 5 adults. Great yard to cruise in, 3 bathrooms were a plus, nice open floor plan. Everything was great, EXCEPT that there were no coffee pods for the Keurig. Even the most basic hotels have complimentary coffee! Why skimp on this when you have such a beautiful home? It really does NOT make sense. Also, the living room has an awkward set up. There is no comfortable way to watch the tv. Maybe get some chairs that swivel? FYI: my son found what he thinks are termite droppings on his bag that was in the living room. we think it may have come from the end table by the couch, closest to the shoe rack. Dishwasher is SUPER quiet and Washer/Dryer is super loud.

Think Twice

The property, location and neighborhood was amazing. Working with the beach rental company was not. We booked 8 months out. Apparently the construction that was scheduled for 2023 didn’t get completed. We were told 3 days before our vacation would start that construction would be going on in the house basement during the days we rented. 7am-5pm. And the back yard that they had would not be available for our dogs during those times. Vrbo at least got the construction stopped for us after hours of being on the phone. Can you image planes overhead and pounding in the basement? We never got to speak to the owner but the communication with the rental company has been less than acceptable. Take screen shots of what you rent, it’s the only thing I had that showed I was in the right in what I rented. The rental company tried to argued with me even after I showed them my screen shots. I hope the owner got all of the story. Again, the property is lovely. Mistakes happen but not taking responsibility for them and trying to really make it right is another matter.

We are surprised at this review and find it unfair. We have been in constant contact with this guest and compensated the guest for what she asked, which is 2x more than truly warranted for the lack of 1 TV due to that second TV being in the bonus room. If we had known the guest needed a second TV, we could have brought over a loaner. She never mentioned this until after she departed. The owner is adding a bathroom to the bonus room below the home which is completely separate from the main part of the house. This is stated at the very beginning of the listing before booking. It also stated the nightly rate has been discounted in relation to this process if a guest wanted to stay. There was a delay in construction and the guest was impatient as we needed a few hours to answer her question about the work schedule. Per the owner, the contractor was not scheduled the week this guest stayed. No construction took place and guest had use of the backyard. VRBO does not have the authority to stop any construction, so that statement from the guest was odd. Perhaps the guest did not realize it was we at Nancy's answering her on the VRBO messaging. We are sorry the guest felt we did not communicate effectively or offer acceptable solutions, both which are factors of our service we pride ourselves on.
