Lovely home in a quiet area only 5 minute drive to Palm Cove or an easy 15 minute walk through the park adjacent to the house. Clifton Beach shopping centre another 5 minute drive which was very convenient. We were a 3 generation family of 7. Plenty of room (and space!) for everyone. The kids made good use of the pool and the large TV for movie nights. Only suggestion is to have some board games and some books to read. Communications from booking to leaving were excellent. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a great holiday!

A lovely lovely home

The house was beautiful, master bedroom was huge. Plenty of towels and linen. Plenty of kitchen utensils, plates , bowls etc. Pool was amazing. Walk to shops was a lovely walk through tropical bush. Would highly recommend this beautiful home.

Best family holiday

Staying at house Heliconia was one of the best family holidays we've had. The property is beautiful and well kept, our host was very accomodating, easy to get a hold of and everything. The gas bottle was low and ran out when we had used the bbq during our stay. Martin was more than happy to arrange it to be replaced. Everything we needed was provided for and another convenience was the fact house is very close to the main esplanade, beach and shopping centre. All walking distance. We definitely be going back!

A quiet peaceful sanctuary

This was a stunning property, with ample space to accomodate 2 families with 3 adults & 3 teenage boys between them. The beautiful, large and well appointed kitchen made group meals easy & the separate living area, games room & pool kept the teenagers entertained & meant everyone had a bit of room (& peace) to themselves. The property was spotless & located in a quiet street. Easy drive to Cairns and about a 15 minute walk to central Palm Cove on the board walk along the beach, where there is a patrolled beach for swimming. The staff at Cozie homes were so helpful in assisting with my many enquiries before our arrival, I can’t rate them highly enough! We had a wonderful stay in this property, and would definitely recommend, particularly for families looking to stay somewhere to stay that is quiet & away from busy crowded streets.

Reef Holiday

The house was as advertised. We did have several problems. There were no instructions for using anything. This included the coffee machine, washing machine, dryer, and stove. We didn't know what the in counter oven fan was until someone decided to push all the buttons on it on the last day. We didn't discover the clothes line and pegs until a 13 year old decided to do some exploring on the last morning. There were not enough places to hang towels for the number of people who used the main bathroom. The one piece of lounge furniture had a broken back. There was detailed instructions on putting garbage bins out to be collected but no instructions about where to put them if they were already out once they had been emptied. There was one useable knife in the kitchen other than steak knives. And that knife was a very large one, not suitable for our young teenagers to cut up fruit or general smaller knife tasks. There were only 2 glass glasses of a decent size. Several of the large plastic glasses were considerably worn and would probably shed minute fragments of plastic in anything put in them. I expected so much more for the generous amount of money I paid for a mere 4 night stay.

Regarding the lack of instructions, most of our guests find the appliances and amenities intuitive to use, and we don’t typically receive requests for detailed guides on basic items like the coffee machine, washing machine, or clothesline. However, I understand this caused some frustration during your stay, and I’ll consider adding more information for those who may need it. I’m sorry to hear about the issues with the lounge furniture and the limited kitchen items. I’ll have the lounge checked and replace any worn utensils and glassware to improve the experience for future guests. We’ll also look into adding more towel hooks for the main bathroom. Thank you again for your feedback, as it helps us make improvements where needed, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again in the future.
