Upon check in, the unit smelled like cigarette smoke. Because it was a Friday evening and after “business hours” it was difficult to get someone on the phone. While texting with someone we were told that the after hours line was for emergencies ONLY. They did send someone out to clean the air. Because we had to run an ionizing machine over night to clear the air and could not be in the unit while the machine was running, we couldn’t sleep in the unit on our first night. The company only wanted to reimburse us for a partial night. The following day, we realize that the electronic lock on the front door was not working. I took a day and a half to get someone to respond to us regarding the lock. During that time, we could not lock the property, leaving our personal items at risk. When someone did respond, we were spoken to condescendingly, hung up on, and expected to help diagnose the problem with the lock, even though we repeatedly told them that there was no power and the lock probably had a dead battery. When someone finally came out to fix the lock, it was a dead battery. On our final night, during a heat wave, on a holiday weekend, the air-conditioning broke. They were able to get someone out quickly, after 10 mins that person left without fixing the problem. When we called back, they said there was nothing they could do. It was 85 in the unit. They offered to refund us for the last night but requested that we check out immediately. WE WILL NEVER RENT FROM THEM AGAIN.
