Beautiful getaway

Wonderful home with gorgeous scenery. Kayaks were the perfect amenity for exploring the lake. Would happily stay there again!

Amazing home situated in a very peaceful and serene setting. We absolutely loved the views from the private beach area. The large deck was a perfect setting for enjoying meals when we werent out taking in all the sights of Cape Breton. Loved it!

Bob was incredibly pleasant and easy to get along with.The property was well furnished, clean and a well needed reprieve from the busy world beyond.Bras d'Or Lake is actually an in-land sea and is simply magnificent.

This was a great location and the home was perfect for our stay. The house was clean and had everything we needed to stay and relax. The plus: we had our own private beach area, porch and were able to kayak, fish and relax outside. Summer time does bring mosquitoes so we did plan our outdoor time around that. The house does not have internet and the LTE service was not available in this area for either of our phone plans. We did not have internet or phone Internet access during our stay.

Thank you so much! I would just like to contact you once again about the provider you have. Our guests and cleaners and we had no issues with Telus, koodoo, publicmobile, Bell . We were told that Rogers still has no good coverage in Nova Scotia

Very nice cabin in secluded location in the woods, with a lake access. The cabin is in new condition, has very well equipped kitchen and is nicely decorated. Kayaks were available to use by the guests. The property manager was easy and fast to reach when we had some questions. Overall a very good experience.

Heaven on earth

Driving up it got better and better. Secluded, quiet, beautiful lake, beautiful home. Literally everything my wife and I could have asked for and more. Could not ask for a better host, so grateful for our time there and look forward to going back.

Beautiful, peaceful, well equipped

Beautiful, very peaceful and well equipped property. Kayaking on the lake was fantastic, as was spending time BBQ’ing and relaxing on the deck. The only negative was that, while the master bed was great, the bed on the second bedroom was not. But, as a property at which to disconnect and decompress, it was fantastic.

Seclusion

If you like to be secluded then this is the place..Beautiful setting with the water right there. The house came fully equipped, except fans because of no air and a regular coffee maker, but we made it work..We would of enjoyed the outdoors more but Mother nature had other plans. Stay in the Woods

Property is as advertised. Its a newer pre manufactured home on a property in the process of being developed. No wifi, tv or ac. Mosquitos aren't bad during the day but do come out in the evening. As do the fireflies. Lake beach is short and rocky. Water is clear and relatively warm. The caretakers are responsive and attentive. It is a drive from everthing.Good if you are looking for a place on a lake with some but not all modern comforts

Beautiful and peaceful place

Bob's place was a very beautiful and peaceful place and about 1 hour from the cabot trail. If you like kayaking the private beach is a great spot to take the kayaks. the property has 2 Kayaks and life jackets. Note that there is no wifi in the property but LTE data works on your phone. So if you need a lot of data during your stay you need to know this. Check in process in our case was the only downside since we didn't get the check in information until we had to call VRBO. Bob did advise there was some issues sending the message through VRBO app.

Nice place and very clean. At the end of June, there is a lot of mosquitoes so we were not able to enjoy the outside and the lake. Every time I had a question, I got a quick answer, it was very appreciated.

entspannter Aufenthalt

Eine super tolle Lage, sehr schönes Haus mit direkten Seezugang, sogar mit einem kleinen Strand, Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet, am besten für 2 Personen oder einer kleinen Familie. Die LTE-Verbindung funktioniert überraschenderweise sehr gut, eine Wifi Verbindung wäre doch wünschenswert. Eine ruhige friedliche Umgebung inmitten der Natur, ob Frühstücken auf der Terrasse mit einem frischgebrühten Kaffee aus der French Press (es gibt keine Kaffeemaschine) oder abends am Lagerfeuer, man kann sehr gut entspannen. Der Gastgeber war unglaublich zuvorkommend und hat dafür gesorgt, dass wir uns rundum wohlfühlten, er hat umgehend auf Fragen reagiert.
