Our holiday house is situated on one of the most beautiful part of the province - Cape Breton Island,
The Bras d´Or Lake is a heart of the island. With the water area of 240km² is a holiday paradise. The gorgeous blockhouse available from May to October. Sleeps 2-4.
The house has 55 m². Living space, has 1 big eat-in kitchen, living room featuring fireplace. 2 bedrooms, as well as one bathroom with shower and WC,
Large pretty terrace with lava rock grill.

Very nice spot, comfortable, not fancy. Beautiful view. No TV, no AC, which didn’t bother us as we had cooler temps. TV would have been nice if we’d been stuck inside by inclement weather.

We absolutely loved our stay at your quintessential mountain log cabin! From starting each day with coffee on the deck to relaxing in front of the fireplace in the evening, it was everything we hoped for! The location was perfect! Very peaceful, serene and private.Beautiful views of Bras d'or Lake from the deck. A perfect spot to enjoy morning coffee, evening cocktails and fantastic star gazing!The cabin was very clean, comfortable and cozy! Very well equipped with everything we needed and more. Thank you for opening up your beautiful home to us! We had a wonderful stay!

This cottage is very cute and authentic and totally private. It is secluded and has such a beautiful viewsIt is up a relatively steep hill, but very accessible by car. The interior is low tech, but that’s not what we were looking for.It is still cozy and practical.The kitchen is fully furnished. The washer dryer are perfect, as well as the bbq (brand new and super clean).Ursula was a very friendly host and we are grateful for this experience!

Beautiful place

This log cottage was all it claimed to be and more. The peace and quite of the location was wonderful as was the view from the deck. Very clean and well decorated with lots of dishes linens etc. We would highly recommend this place if your looking for a good place to relax and unwind. E & A

Bras d’Or Lake Getaway

Nice log cottage sitting on Diana Mountain with a nice view of Bras d’Or Lake. The night skys are fantastic. The cottage is secluded. It is about a 35 minute drive to the nearest store of any kind so if you want to get away from everything it is perfect. Stock up before you go. The cottage has high speed internet and good cell phone reception to keep you in touch with the outside world. If you are planning on taking in a lot of the sights of Cape Breton Island then plan on a lot of driving.

Bridge dropped into river.

I wasn’t informed the bridge had washed out completely and the usual route road was closed. It was difficult to find the alternate route. I had to drive all the way back. Got directed by GPS wrong. Ended up on a dirt path 5 km in the bush with no way to turn around and only used for ATV damaged vehicle I later was told. After calling VRBO property owner called me from Toronto Airport and gave directions. She was on her return to Germany.

Ein sehr gemütliches Ferienhaus mit sehr guter Ausstattung. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt.

Wir haben 3 schöne Wochen in absoluter Ruhe verbracht und haben viele schöne Ausflüge unternommen. Sehr hilfreich waren dabei auch die vielen guten Tipps von Frau Resch. Vielen Dank hierfür. Wir können dieses Haus guten Gewissens für einen Urlaub auf Cape Breton empfehlen.

Entspannung pur!

Vielen Dank, für die schöne Zeit, die wir in ihrem ur-gemütlichen Ferienhaus verbringen durften. Wir konnten den Alltag vergessen und uns von der traumhaften Natur verzaubern lassen. Besonders die Abendstunden im Boot auf dem See waren Entspannung pur. Auch die schönen Ausflüge in die Umgebung, an die nahegelegenen Strände, Fort Louisburg und Isle Madame waren sehr abwechslungsreich. Die kleinen Kolibris haben uns jeden Morgen am Frühstückstisch draußen begrüßt. Auch Seeadler und Eulen konnten wir sehen. Wir freuen uns schon auf ein nächstes Mal! Auch unser kleines Wolkewittchen sagt Danke!

Urlaub 2011

Dieses Ferienhäuschen ist ganz besonders nett - sogar noch schöner, als auf den Fotos. Es liegt wunderschön an einem breiten Arm des Brad d'Or Lakes auf einem großen sehr gepflegten Grundstück. Wir waren leider nur zwei Wochen dort, die wie im Flug vergangen sind. Man kann vielfältige Tagesausflüge machen oder einfach faulenzen - herrlich. Wir waren zu zweit und inzwischen das vierte Mal in Kanada und können sagen, dass bei diesem Ferienhäuschen einfach alles stimmt. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Unser Familienurlaub

Habe ihre neue Seite entdeckt und dabei gedacht , wie schön es 2009 in Ihrem Haus war , es war wirklich sehr gemütlich und erholsam.Dort war wirklich alles vorhanden was das Herz begehrt ! ( Nur die Schlafzimmer waren etwas klein , aber damit kann man gut leben ). War mit meiner Familie 2 Wochen im Oktober beim "Indian Summer" dort. Wir haben sehr schöne Ausflüge gemacht.Mein Sohn hatte viel Spass beim Angeln und Bootfahren.Auch die Kolibris waren nett und ein Eichhörnchen hat mir direkt aus der Hand gefressen.Wir werden sicher nochmal hinfahren.

Toller Urlaub in unberührter Natur

Als Urlaubsdomizil ist das Haus sehr zu empfehlen. Herrliche Landschaft mit vielen Freizeitmöglichkeiten. Die Ausstattung des gemütlichen Ferienhauses ist gut. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und werden demnächst sicher wieder buchen.

Top-Urlaub

Hallo, War mit meiner Lebensgefährtin da. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt in ihrem gepflegten Haus. Man sieht, dass es mit Liebe eingerichtet wurde. Da wir Ende September waren, haben wir Abends des öfteren den Kaminofen eingeheizt. Das gibt eine wohltuende Wärme, dazu ein Glas Wein dann gemeinsam ins Feuer schauen…..Traumhaft. Wir haben uns sehr gut erholt. Viele Grüße

Habe eine wunderschöne Zeit mit meiner Familie in dem Ferienhaus erlebt. Das Blockhaus liegt an einem riesigen See, ist gemütlich und funktionell eingerichtet. Mit Kahnfahren, Angeln und Ausflügen haben wir die Zeit verbracht. Es war super und ist auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen.
