Experience the island life as you watch the sunrise from your master bedroom, whiz around Avalon in your easily-accessible golf cart, and in the evenings, warm yourself by the cozy fireplace. | | | | Amenities include: king beds, three flat screen TVs, Wi-Fi, Cable, DVD and Blu-Ray players.. H248 | | Rental of a vacation home in Hamilton Cove includes use of the community’s amenities (pool, spa, health club, 18-hole putting course, tennis courts, croquet court, sand volleyball court and beach area with built in barbecues and picnic tables). Some restrictions may apply. From the moment you walked in (the under-appreciated one step) the view captured you and took your breath away. The accommodations were perfect, the golf cart made everything easily accessible and we were able to hit all of our points of interest and more.

Pure Magic!

This gorgeous home does not disappoint! The views are breathtaking and there’s absolutely nothing better than falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean.

Amazing Place to Stay

Had a fantastic stay. Beautiful condo. Exceptional views. Very clean. Ease in booking and checking in. Having use of a golf cart was super convenient. Also, easy to get taxis if you are going to be having cocktails. Next time we come back to Catalina we will absolutely stay here again.

Left a little piece of me in Avalon.

Great time in Avalon. Loved the view from the condo and no steps! (This is rare in Hamilton Cove.) Only complaint is that the golf cart needs to be replaced - it’s very worn and tired. Everything else was fine.

Great stay for a couple

The unit had a gorgeous view (covered balcony), new mid century furniture, beautiful newly redone bathrooms & 2 comfy beds. The distance from the road or golf cart parking to front door was terrific for shopping. The unit needed only a few items to make it 5 Star (max $300 investment) : a pair of beach chairs for the Hamilton cove beach (left with washer & dryer), new kitchen items - including new (unscratched) pots & pans, new matching plates, glassware & new silverware (these items were old, in poor shape & unmatching - think grandmothers garage sale). The unit is best suited for a couple, 2 couples or a couple with small children. The couch can fit 3 people & the dining room table is 4 max.

Many Challenges

Clearly this property needs some maintenance. The dishwasher did not work during our stay. Maintenance guy came and could not fix. Found dirty dishes in the cupboard as well as dirty kitchen towels and potholders in drawers. The kitchen utensils and pots and pans are very worn. Wheel on bar b que broken. The golf cart is very old and the reverse gear was not working properly. We were told we would get 10 percent back for all our troubles but still have not seen that credit. Email to property manager still unanswered. Got home and realized jewelry bag is missing. Have filed police report.

Stunning views but overall disappointing

Pros: The location was perfect, the amenities of the property were great (lovely pool!), and the views from the balcony were phenomenal! The condo was nicely decorated, the beds and couch were comfortable, and the bathrooms were clean, spacious, and stocked with towels and essential products. Cons: Another reviewer mentioned the old golf cart, well, it's not only old but also dangerous--we were coming down a hill and the brakes were not working. If anyone had been in the street when we couldn't stop at the bottom of the hill, we would have crashed. We'd hoped to tour the island in the cart but didn't feel safe. The check-in process was a pain--if you can't get there exactly between 3-4 you have to check-in remotely and that requires reading/initialing/signing a 22-page contract and emailing a picture of your credit card and license (for the danger cart). Communication was subpar. Wear and tear: the dining room chairs were stained and grubby, the refrigerator door was speckled with something, and the window in the second bedroom was busted. Noisy: we could hear little kids running around, screaming from the balcony below us at 7am, and the parties from the harbor kept my mom up until 1am. Also, the second bedroom was much smaller than the primary bedroom and the king bed was stuffed in there on a bulky wooden frame so you have to gingerly navigate to avoid stubbed toes and battered shins.

Beautiful stay

This is such a beautiful unit in Hamilton Cove and easy to access. The views are amazing, you can hear the ocean, the view from the master bedroom is incredible, it was very clean and comfortable, and access to the golf cart was perfect.

Great little getaway

Hamilton Cove is so nice and just far enough from Avalon for a quiet and beautiful retreat. The condo was very clean and convenient and had everything we needed. The golf cart is a must. Would come back to this unit for sure.

Beautiful view

Very nice place with a beautiful view. Golf cart was great. Great communication with manager and very nice. A bit hot since there was no ac and the storm created lots of humidity, but we opened all the windows and it was fine. Would have liked the kitchen to be a bit more stocked. A couple water bottles and some cream and sugar for coffee would have made this better especially for the price. Also the front door was a bit tricky to open with the key. I Would stay here again though :)

Beautiful Unit

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We come every year and always stay in a different unit. This is our favorite so far and we will be back. The unit was very clean, nicely decorated, and spacious. The views are incredible. A couple of things to note (doesn’t change the rating but hopefully useful for future guests). The rolling shade in the master is tricky. It does roll all the way up but you have to play with it a bit. The view from the master is breathtaking so you’ll want all of the shades open. There is also no acrylic/plastic glassware so if you bring drinks to the pool, keep that in mind as glass is not allowed. The check in/out process was very easy. See you again in 2023!

Beautiful View

The unit had a fabulous location (no stairs) and a great view. The only issues we had were some system issues. The fan in the guest bathroom screeched after it had been on for a while. We called maintenance but they never came to address. Also the dishwasher needed a good clean and when we used it for a second time it began to leak onto the kitchen floor. However overall we had a great time and (with some unit improvements) we would definitely stay again.
