Spectacular Villa with drop-dead gorgeous ocean views from every room. New refrigerator and gourmet stainless steel small appliances throughout the kitchen. Living room has a fireplace, floor-to-ceiling ocean-view windows, a large flat screen TV with Tivo/BluRay and queen sofabed. Open the French doors to the private ocean-view balcony, which is now the "outdoor living room". The master bedroom now has a Cal-King bed and a second large flat screen TV. To top it all off, enjoy the new limo golf cart and free wireless Internet. Welcome to the new Villa 3-19! | | | Only 38 steps to the road and a total of 990 sq. feet. H319 | | | Rental of a vacation home in Hamilton Cove includes use of the community’s amenities (pool, spa, health club, 18-hole putting course, tennis courts, croquet court, sand volleyball court and beach area with built in barbecues and picnic tables). Some restrictions may apply. Occupants subject to Hamilton Cove Homeowners Association Rules & Regulations. | | | This vacation home rents on a nightly basis (2 night minimum, holidays and selected dates excepted; 3 night minimum July & August). ----- This property is in a residential community and is only suitable for quieter groups. NO smoking, NO parties/events. NO pets allowed per HOA rules. You must be 25+ years old to rent this property. No daytime visitors allowed. This property was great. It was very clean and accommodating. The pictures made the property look bigger than it actually was but we still had plenty of room.Also the golf cart description was deceiving. It is a standard golf cart with two additional seats that face the rear. In my experience, a "limo" golf cart typically has two rows of seats as well as two additional rear facing on the back. This one barely accommodated the 4 of us and we had to stack our diving gear on top of us to drive up and down the hill.All in all this was a great condo with excellent views and atmosphere.

The condo unit needs work. The toilet doesn't work right - have to wait at least ten minutes after it is flushed for it to be flushable again so not suited for more than one person. There are ants in bathroom and kitchen. The fold out couch wasn't made so we found sheets - stained and made it but not comfortable. The deck is very nice and I gave a 4 simply because the site has a beautiful view and my daughter and I spent lots of time on the deck talking and "enjoyed our stay."

Spectacular view! Great location. Peaceful and relaxing. Cons: 1) Dripping water valve on patio made two puddles that were constantly wet. Dangerous because it is slippery. 2) Heavy smoking neighbors to the right of balcony 3) Giant magnolia tree attracted lots of bees and wasps. My friend is allergic to bees. She would move quickly indoors trying not to slip on the wet puddles on the floor from the leaking water outlet in patio. Although the view on the balcony was spectacular, we decided to stay inside during out trip there. Overall we still had a good time.

The view is definitely the best part of our stay. I have to be honest and say that the details of lighting and equipment were disappointing. Many lightbulbs were missing or not working. Kitchen equipment was old and rusty and items missing. TVs were difficult to get shows …… much better directions would have been helpful. With the price we paid I would not book this place again. Also the small tile steps at the end of hall are a hazard. The hall light was out and there is not a railing or marker on the step to point out the elevation change. My Aunt fell on those steps the first night getting up to the bathroom and has 2 large wounds on her leg. I think the owners need to take a good look at this condo and put some effort into sprucing it up. The rugs in the bedroom and living room were disgusting and old and stained. In fact all of the furniture looked about 20 years old. Time for some renewal !!

The villa has great upside and some drawbacks. The views from the unit were very good, and the space inside was very comfortable and welcoming. The negatives made the unit disappointing overall. There is an ant problem in the kitchen. The TV in the living room would sometimes show no picture and have no sound until turned off and then back on. The golf cart was criminal: no suspension, road visibility was made terrible by the hazy old windshield and canvas siding would flap like crazy. Rolling the sides up was dangerous too as they would fall down after a couple road bumps. The cart is older and would benefit from a replacement. Bottom line: my family will visit Catalina again and stay in another villa.

Beautiful and spacious condo. Extremely clean! Would not find a better view anywhere! Incredible views from every room. Wake up to the beautiful sunrise from the master bed every morning. Very quiet and serene. Kitchen was well equipped. Golf cart came in handy! Five stars ~ most definitely!

Not quite up to our expectations.....

While the area is fantastic the condo was smaller than we thought (pictures aren't very accurate).... we had ants the entire time we were there and the solution was for us to spray them - not a healthy way to mitigate the issue... there was also a lack of staples in the unit that we had to purchase.... (toilet paper, kleenex, laundry soap, etc...) for the going rate we assumed these would be supplied... disappointing for the price we paid!

Even better than it looks in the pictures

This condo was amazing. So clean, beautifully decorated, and an expansive view of the ocean from every room. Many times I just sat on the sofa for hours and watched the ocean change and the storms roll in. Magical. Everything I needed was here as well. Highly recommended. I couldn’t have enjoyed my stay more.

Very nice views, very clean and cozy. It comes with a golf cart which is a huge plus! Will definitely come back next year!

We love Hamilton Cove, and have previously stayed in this great unit ~ I need to let you know that the fold out air mattress leaks ~ As well as the kitchen sink ~ A bit of laundry detergent would have been most appreciated as well. If we were to rent this unit again I would need assurance that the mattress has been replaced or repaired ~ Best, Susan ~

Great setting, view, and and activities, luxury not so much

Very fun to be on Catalina Island - nice people everywhere, great hiking, beautiful views, and it was quite fun (and necessary!) to have a golf cart to use to get back and forth to town. Not as fun? After thinking we had a paucity of utensils and plates in the condo, the office suggested we look in the dishwasher, where we found an entire load of filthy dishes (think smelly caked on eggs and pancake batter plus chunks of ground beef!). We never did have any small size spoons, and the dishes are chipped, several pans too old and bent to work on the convection oven, and yes, they did bring an oven mitt to replace the one that was here that was somehow also coated with old food. Sheets were rough, the lamp by the bed did not work, the armoire in the bedroom creaks loudly enough to wake people (and we tried a lot of things to get this to stop -and we are light weight humans), and the wifi, which we had to reset several times, finally fizzled out completely. Staff did tried to help, though they did not call in response to the note we left on the app they asked us to install, and there was clearly no communication from the on-call person on the night we arrived to the day propel the next day. An apology for the dishes was lukewarm (she initially said "I think the prior guests were in a hurry"). Stay at Hamilton Cove but skip this condo! We did get a $150 credit, which was 10% of our stay.
