Discover why people love to display that 'OBX' decal. At the 'Kona Breeze' you're truly Sound Front in the Outer Banks - literally a few steps from the water. Launch and land your watersports gear or fish from the private pier. At the end of the day, relax with your beverage of choice from the deck while watching the best sunsets. Plenty of space on a large lot in a quiet neighborhood in Avon, with the beach, shops, and restaurants close by. If you don't want to completely disconnect, there is fast wifi to post the selfies of you on the water and the awesome sunsets - or just stream online movies or TV shows on that rare rainy day. Come have fun and relax with family and friends at this great waterfront home.

Amenities include: lower and upper decks, outside shower, private pier to sound, internet, wifi, TV, washer/dryer, dishwasher, central heat/air. Towels, sheets and linens are included!

This property is OWNER MANAGED by a couple who has been vacationing with family on Hatteras Island for decades.

The property is NOT advertised on Craigslist.

OBX family vaca from Kansas City..

Everything as described. Super helpful owner who even alerted us of storm during our stay, House was very comfy and organized. View was breathtaking. We would definitely choose this house again.

A Relaxing Getaway

We had a great time at Kona Breeze!! The house was perfect for our family, we really enjoyed being on the sound. We were able to kayak, fish and enjoy the incredible sunsets!! The ocean is only a few minutes away. Communication with the property owner was thorough and timely.

Prefect OBX getaway

From the moment we arrived, we loved the property and location. Our friends stayed on the beach side and while we visited often, it was wonderful to come back to the calm. This property is everything! The house was immaculate and ready for us right on time. We spent most of our time outside enjoying the weather, the decks and the dock! We made the best memories and will be back next year!

Perfect Place!

Kona Breeze was perfection. Clean and tidy, just as pictured/described. Spacious for six adults, and all indoor/outdoor spaces were well-utilized and appreciated. Everything you need is here! Hosts were very responsive and helpful, making communication a "breeze". The view was incredible! Highly recommend this gem!

Paradise on the Sound

This location was great. The family was able to be as connected or disconnected as we wanted to be. The sunsets were amazing and there was always a view to be had. Fishing, sailing, site seeing, kayaking or just lounging on the beach is always just round the corner. The host’s were helpful with situational needs and we appreciated their support. We will be back.

Nice location, nice house

This house was perfect for us five adults. The pier going down to the sound was great at launching our kayaks and we enjoyed floating out in the sound right near the pier. The owners keep the house well stocked , we had everything to cook a meal and we did use the charcoal grill a few nights. Both decks were great to sit out on and have dinner or breakfast. The deck underneath is great when the sun is too hot on the top deck . Overall we had a great stay and would stay here again!

The house and property are as advertised. The view from the deck never gets old. A couple of us rented fishing kayaks for the week, and spent a lot of hours fishing in the sound. Some of us went horseback riding on the beach. We did a wine tour. had a few beach days and explored. rt 12. every day ended the same way, a glass of wine, great company and a killer view.

Cozy and clean

Liz was wonderful, we arrived to a very clean house. You can tell this house is well loved. Comfortable beds, everything you need in the kitchen. Amazing sunsets! We will be back for sure.

The setting was absolutely amazing!

The reservation and check-in process was great. The property was beautiful! We enjoyed the deck off the living room. The only suggestion I have would be to upgrade the living room furniture. We spent more time inside than we had planned to due to weather and the big couch in particular was very soft and a little hard to get out of. A recliner or other comfy chair would have been nice.

Amazing Place

Perfect place for relaxing and enjoying time with family. Area was quiet and people around were so friendly. Kona Breeze was exceptional. So clean and had everything we needed just like in our homes. The view was amazing!!! Definitely a must stay.

Second-time renter of this well-equipped home

This was our second stay at Kona Breeze and we enjoyed it just as much as the first. The property is so clean and has a full kitchen (and outdoor grill!) so it’s easy to settle right in and enjoy meals overlooking the water. The private dock is great for morning coffee or watching the beautiful sunsets. If you like to do any water sports, the access can’t be beat. Since our last stay, Liz and family have added a bar below the deck. Great family-friendly place and central location to anything in Avon or Buxton.

Family Vacation

Wonderful spot for a family getaway. The neighborhood is very quiet, plenty of food options within minutes of the house. The house was very neat and organized with labels so you know where everything is and what to do. The dock was fun for fishing and the porches are perfect for watching sunsets. Overall we had a wonderful time and would stay again in the future.

Our family has been vacationing on Hatteras Island for over 20 years, and we still make the time to travel from all over the country for that OBX vacation week. Over the years we have concluded Avon is the Outer Banks’ best village for our family. When we became empty nesters, the entire family wanted a way to enjoy Avon even more, so we bought this gem of a sound front home.

Avon is the island's hub, with everything you could need or want within easy reach. With great quiet beaches, the Avon Fishing Pier, a real grocery store, and the Pamlico Sound, the village of Avon is perfect for watersports and beach activities. And a sound front house delivers water access, great views, and the best sunsets.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

The 'Kona Breeze' is located in a quiet neighborhood on the sound side of Avon with an easy walk to the beach, shops, and restaurants. Located steps from the water and with plenty of outside space for rigging, how much easier can it get? If you have young kids that just want to get wet, you can buy a couple of blow up rafts and enjoy the sound that is basically your backyard. BE WARNED, you'll take more pictures of the sunsets than you can count.
