We’re glad to hear you enjoyed our country setting! The cabin is nestled in a peaceful, rural area surrounded by woods and trees. While the neighboring property does utilize solar lights, these are on a timer and automatically turn off by midnight. Unfortunately, external factors like neighboring lighting are outside of our control, but we always strive to provide a comfortable environment and appreciate you sharing your feedback.

We want our guests to arrive at a vacation home that is 100% ready for their stay, so we take safety concerns like this seriously. We’re also glad to hear you found the property very nice. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:- The cabin has two combined smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, one on the ground floor and another on the second floor.- These were installed before the cabin was ever available for booking. Both detectors are tested monthly, batteries are changed as needed, and the owner has now started keeping a log of inspections to ensure accuracy going forward. The owner also has pictures of the detectors available if needed.Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback.
