The Homestead Rental is conveniently located just up a side street from the
harbor in the historic center of the Village of Ephraim. A welcome basket of goodies awaits your arrival.
The three bedroom ranch style home
sleeps up to 6 people including infants & children in the count and has a view of Eagle Harbor from the front picture window and front patio. Each bedroom has a Queen Bed.
There is a full bath with walk-in shower and a half bath. Towels & bed linens are provided and beds are made for you.
The Kitchen includes a flat top stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave,
10-12 cup coffee maker, crock-pot, plates, cups, glasses, silverware and cookware. The compact washer/dryer is off the kitchen. We provide 4 pods/4 dryer sheets.
Living room has flat screen smart ROKU TV, a TV stand with electric fireplace, couch, chairs, and games.
The Homestead includes WIFI.
There is a bike rack outside (bring your lock) and only 2 parking spots. Sorry, no parking for trailers of any size. Front outside patio includes chairs, table and gas grill. No outdoor fire pit, open flame are allowed in the yard & patio.
Front yard use only.
You may use the dock across from Water Street Inn for watching beautiful sunsets, sunbathing and just relaxing. You may also use the outdoor heated pool across the street at Water Street Inn, but need to bring your own towels.
It is just a short walk to the family friendly Ephraim Public Beach or to historic Wilson's Ice Cream Parlor.
We are also found on Facebook under Homestead Rental.

From mid-June through August, we rent weekly, Saturday to Saturday. Spring and Fall we have a 3 night minimum. Sometimes there are rare 2 night stays. Check the calendar or email: homestead3037rental@gmail.com.
A Ring Camera faces the parking area and front yard to keep you safe. The furnace with central air conditioning will help in any weather.

We send a code for you to get in the front door of the Homestead Rental the week before you arrive.
Quiet hours: 10pm-7am

The Homestead Rental house and grounds are non-smoking and no pets.

Very charming house in a great location. The lake is right across the street. The location is convenient to get to anywhere on the peninsula. Check in/out process is smooth. The sheets were fabulous! I recommend this VRBO and would stay there again!

Wonderful house to stay in

Loved our stay here. House was clean. Everything was well organized and labeled. Everything you needed. Lots of towels. Beds were comfy, great lightening in all the rooms. Had a chair in each room which was nice for my elderly parents to sit on and get dressed. Diane was quick to respond to questions. Over all a great stay!

Excellent house in the heart of Ephraim. Walking distance to all Ephraim restaurants and the waterfront. The house has an awesome view of the water in the distance from the living room. The host was very responsive, the house was clean, and it had all the cooking items we needed. I would stay here again.

Fall color visit

My parents came out from Oregon for the fall colors. We had a fantastic time! The cottage was perfect, and very well appointed. There was nothing we needed that wasnā€™t already there. Everything was very clean and the beds were very comfortable.

We had a great 2 night stay just in time to see the peak fall colors! The house was exactly as expected and very well kept. We were welcomed with a basket of goodies and a personal note from Diane and Larry. House had lake views and was in a nice spot. Highly recommend!!

Fyr Bal Weekend

We had a lovely stay in Ephraim during the Fyr Bal weekend. The location of the house was great to walk to the arts and craft stalls and to see the fire works. Although the weather was cool, the house was nice and warm and great to walk back after the fireworks were done. The kitchen is well equipped and the gas grill outside worked great. The view of the lake is outstanding, especially at sunset. We would definitely stay here again.

Fall Break

We wanted a short fall break for our family. The homestead perfectly met our needs. The location of Ephraim was ideal because it allowed us to visit Sister Bay, Peninsula State Park, Fish Creek and of course, Ephraim. The homestead was very comfortable and met all of our needs. We enjoyed snacks provided by the host upon arrival. Instructions were clearly marked throughout the house and Checkin process very easy.

Great home base for exploring Door County

The Homestead Rental in Ephraim was a great central location for exploring all Door County has to offer. It was the perfect size for my wife and I and the two other couples (friends) we were traveling with. When we arrived, it was great that the lights were left on for us, so we didn't need to hunt for light switches right away. We were surprised and really appreciated the welcome gift of snacks and Door County cookbooks. Having access to the dock and gazebo for watching sunsets was great. Sitting and relaxing on the patio was wonderful each evening. While the building seem a bit older, it was well kept and clean. The WiFi worked great and we all appreciated the abundance of hot water. Will definitely consider staying here again on our next visit to Door County.

Beautiful view of the bay/sunset!

My family loved staying at the Homestead property. We enjoyed walking down to the beach to watch the breath taking sunsets!!! The location is great! We walked to Wilson's for dinner and ice cream. The public beach is a 7.5 minute walk away. It is an awesome beach for families of all ages! The beds were comfy, bathrooms were cutely remodeled. There is a fully stocked kitchen and a grill that we enjoyed using while our kids ran around the yard overlooking the bay on the front patio. Downsides: It would have been nice to have laundry facilities on site. We found a laundromat in Sister Bay, but it ate up half a day doing laundry. The wi-fi was painfully slow. Overall, we loved the place. It was convenient to everything and has a gorgeous view!!!

This home has been in our family since it was first built in 1950 by my Grandparents. We have been updating the home every year since 2016.
My husband and I are full time residents who live 2 miles away and are available for any spur of the moment concerns. Our love of Door County keeps us here Year-round although we do travel to see our 9 grandchildren in the winter.

Our comfortable rental home is in the middle of the historic district in Ephraim. By car we are also centrally located on the peninsula to beaches, wineries, trolley tours, outdoor activities, and all the breathtaking scenery in Door County. Off the main Highway you can relax and still be close to everything going on.

The Homestead is one of the few rental homes in downtown Ephraim with private shore and pier access just a short walk away. The sunsets are breathtaking. We also have use of an outdoor heated pool, just across the side street, but you must bring your own towels. The Ephraim Public Beach is 2 blocks away. It is the cleanest, safest, family friendly sand beach in Door County. Historic Wilson's Ice Cream Parlor is a block north of the Homestead Rental.
