This home is one of many lovely Fort Morgan vacation rentals that offer partial views of the Gulf of Mexico for you to enjoy from the deck. Get a large group together, as up to 10 guests can comfortably stay at Seahawk South.

The first floor features a spacious living room with a 50-inch flat-screen TV and comfortable seating for everyone. The main level of the home also contains a fully-equipped kitchen with a bar, a dining area, a queen bedroom, and a full bathroom. Take a short walk upstairs to the second floor, where you will find the primary bedroom suite featuring a grand primary bathroom with a whirlpool tub. Two additional bedrooms and a third bathroom can be found on the top floor of the home. Additional amenities include a washer and dryer, free Wi-Fi, an outdoor shower, and a gravel parking area for up to four vehicles! Each TV also includes satellite or streaming capabilities.

Family friendly get away

The experience was a good time much needed a little confused on location make sure to have navigation set to avoid ferries and tolls throw us a bit surprise upon arrival. Wish there was more bath tissue and paper towels for stay overall it was a good time

Family visit was a success!

Family all met here from around the country. We were very pleased to find a well equipment kitchen for any cook. Games and puzzles were available for family times. Beach was an easy walk and beautiful beach area. The layout of the home was perfect for us. As a family we agreed we would like to revisit this place.

Family friendly

Great location for our multi age children and grandchildren. Short walk to beach, our tents could be set anywhere. Pool is directly across from the house. House is quiet room to room, clean and I was able to cook all our meals except the one I picked up delicious steamed shrimp and crab legs by taking the ferry to get Skinners Seafood.

Memorial Day Weekend 2023

The house was just as shown in photos- roomy and comfortable. Loved the close proximity to beach and pool. Kitchen cabinets could use some updating and check out at 9am was too early and a push. But overall very nice and I would stay here again.

The only thing that was hard was doing the laundry every day to have a clean wash cloth. It be would have been nice to have two wash cloths for every person.

Solid Place for a Family Vacation

The property is just as described and in a very cool, somewhat isolated location. The beach is about a 10 minute walk. You cannot see the ocean from the home. The pool is just across the street. Pay attention to the instructions because the property does only contain the bare essentials so you will need to bring garbage bags, toilet paper, salt/pepper, soap, etc. There is not a BBQ grill on the property. There's not a lot in the area until you drive 20+ minutes, but that was expected. Great place if you want to just chill out.

Great Stay

The property was just like the photographs. Expect a 10 year old house rented weekly throughout the summer and other times. That's what you get. Good furnishings. Adequately equipped. Clean. Convenient to the beach which is not overly crowded on July 4th like Gulf Shores Beach. Water was clear and clean. No sharks there. The occasional Dolphin. AC was cool. Water pressure good. Fridge struggled a time or two getting cold. Maintenance replaced dishwasher in the middle of stay but we didn't mind washing dishes until then. If you want the a Ritz type experience, this isn't it. But it was great for our family of 10.

Beach was beautiful. Pool was wonderful. Restaurants were few unless you drive off the peninsula.

Beach was great!! Weather was beautiful! House was lacking. Air was not great. It got uncomfortable. It ran constantly but seldom got below 76. Bathroom in upstairs hallway smelled funny. Bathroom downstairs had huge mold stains on ceiling. (I have pic) Pots and pans were dirty. We had to purchase cleaning supplies, dish detergent, dish scrubbers, paper towels (1 roll was given, really?), toilet paper (6 rolls for a house that sleeps more than the 12 we brought,ran out quickly. Really?) Bay Pier was a lawsuit waiting to happen! Lots of rotten boards. Was caved in half way down the pier!! I expected more than for what we paid for after school starts back in Fort Morgan

Beach vacation!

We had a fantastic stay!!when we first arrived, our entry code wouldn’t work. I had to call them but it was quickly taken care of and we had no trouble the rest of the trip. Property is close to the beach! You can see and hear the ocean from the end of the porch! The inside of the house was nice and plenty of space! Beds were all comfortable and the air conditioning worked great on both floors. The refrigerator did not get cold. It kept things cool but sodas would take a few days to get cold. There was ONE dish towel. No dish cloths. That was a bit of a hindrance cause we cooked everything meal. Kitchen is efficient to cook most meals. Pay attention to the “need to bring” list on property description!! It means exactly what it says. There is just enough garbage bags dish soap etc. for ONE day. Over all it was a great stay. We would definitely stay here again or recommend it to others!! Thanks for a great stay!

Great location

We enjoyed our stay here. We love the location with it's proximity to a quiet beach and the pool across the street. The house itself was clean, except the outsides of the windows were so dirty we couldn't hardly see our of them. The kitchen is not fully stocked. There are no sheet pans, and when we arrived there were no dish cloths. When we contacted them we were told only one dish towel and dish cloth would be provided for the entire length of the stay. They were willing to bring me one, but after I insisted on a minimum of three, we were given three the next day. The door has a lock that automatically locks after approximately 5 minutes. Imagine having your hands full of groceries and hearing the door lock as you walk up to it. Or kids playing on the porch and then not being able to get back in by themselves because the door locked on them. It is not a deal breaker, but was definitely very annoying. We asked the automatic lock feature be turned off, but were told they would not. There is a grill pictured on the listing, not included in the details. There is a single grill at this house, which is one of four units. We were the only ones in the entire building, but if there are others staying there you may or may not get use of the grill. The house itself worked well for our group. We liked its location,and the set up of the house. There was plenty of seating in the living room and in dining area for our group of 9. We loved being able to walk to the beach,

All in all, it is a nice place, but with a little TLC, it could be a great place.

First, I want to say that I do not like that VRBO only gives you two choices when writing a review, “I loved it” or “Not really.” There were things about this property that I really liked and others not so much. Location (good): The unit sits in a quiet cul de sac, and it is easy to walk to the beach using the boardwalk. The pool area is really nice and sits right across the street from the condo. The unit itself (nice): The unit itself is nicely laid out. The bedrooms were comfortable and attractive. I really liked the master bathroom with two sinks and plenty of room so that two people can get ready, shower/shave, etc., without being in the way of each other. The Kitchen and Food Preparation (not so good): For the most part, the kitchen was fairly well-stocked. There was the usual coffee pot, blender, toaster, etc. The fridge had an ice maker, which was nice. However, the unit advertised a grill. The grill was a RUST HEAP. The grates were rusted beyond repair. The heat shields were also rusted beyond repair. It would have been a fire hazard to hook it up to the propane tank and light it. This was a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT, because there is only one restaurant in Ft. Morgan. The rest are over 19 miles away. Not being able to grill out was a bummer because we planned to eat dinner at home each night. Cooking in the oven was also problematic, because the unit did not come with oven mitts. There was one small dish towel, which meant it was impossible to pull a hot casserole dish out of the oven without burning yourself. Another issue, which might not seem like a big thing, was that there was no non-stick skillet: only stainless steel skillets. And they only provided one disposable washcloth for cleaning the pots and pans. This is probably why so many of them were not that clean. We had to go buy oven mitts and scrub sponges as well as dish soap. The Deck (so-so): On the top deck, there were nails raised up. We nearly had a visit to the urgent care, due to stepping on a rusted nail that was sticking up about ¾”. Fortunately, one of us had a hammer, and re-set the nail. The lawn/landscaping (poor): The unit is infested with sand spurs, especially growing around the front steps and around the outdoor shower area. Try as we did, no one was spared the pain of stepping on them, and then getting them stuck in your fingers trying to remove them from your feet.

The grill you stumbled across was left there by a previous guest and has since been removed. The property has undergone some major updates and the deck was one of the projects the owners tackled. As for the landscaping, the complex sits in an area of natural sand/sea oat and sea oats cannot be removed due to environmental laws. When we arrived, we tried to ignore the fact that there was heavy construction machinery parked out front, broken boards, debris and garbage strewn about the exterior. We just told our 6 yr old son that he couldn't play outside around the house. Inside the house was very worn - not at all like the online photos. Surfaces looked like they were quickly wiped off, but not cleaned. We wiped down tables, counters and bathrooms to feel more sanitary. However, there were some things that were out of our immediate control: In the bedroom with the bunkbeds, there was a hole (18" x 5") in the wall with exposed spray insulation bulging out. Stains on the sheets and on pillow shams. An overall lack of upkeep on the house seemed apparent. (Also, the bunk bed room is listed here as being on the first floor, but it's not - it's on the 2nd floor). My first impression was wow, things sure appear different online than in person - a lesson we all need to keep in mind when using these online booking platforms. On day 2, we returned from our day trip to see a construction worker in the cherry picker working on the exterior of the house. I immediately asked the Property Management company what was going on and why had we not been notified? They said the structural integrity was nothing to worry about, but they were vague in regards to the schedule - only saying they didn't know how long it would go on, hours were during the week ending at 5pm and can they do anything else to help. I was on vacation and really didn't have the appetite to fight it. I just hoped it would go away. But, as the construction escalated, so did the 3 day battle with the Property Management company and VRBO in regards to the unsafe conditions the construction created for my family (nails and dust showering down along the wrap around deck!) not to mention the noise and lack of privacy - reasons why we didn't book a high-rise condo. I felt completely powerless and taken advantage of. I was picking up rusty nails along the wrap-around deck and again, asked my son not to run around barefoot out there. It didn't stop until I threatened legal action - after tearful pleading from me asking, WHY?! My fight got us about 1/3 of our money returned to us - not nearly enough!!! If you're not used to being in a house built on stilts, be aware that it all shakes when the wind blows, and when your kids run through it. The pools were great and beaches were wide and beautiful - to end on a positive.

This area was hit exceptionally hard by a hurricane late last year and COVID caused delays in construction materials, which caused construction to be completed during your stay. You should have had the opportunity to choose to move properties or stay in the property with a discounted rate, due to the inconveniences. The construction has been completed and is no longer an issue for guests. We have also taken new photos for this property, to show the current conditions of the home. Comfortable house for a nice getaway.

We had 4 adults and 6 children. Not a bad little walk to beach. Pool was right outside the front of house which made it nice for a quick swim and cool off after beach. Minor issues in house like refrigerator shelves cracked, bedroom door wouldn’t open. Had issues with wifi. Other than that, everyone had a good time and enjoyed the house. Definitely recommend.

Beautiful home

We were so pleased with our rental and location to the beach. It had everything we needed and was comfortable and spacious.
