No obstruction to beach. Loved the plastic dishes for kids and adults. Only issue was the squeaky king bed frame. We got used to it after a few days.Great windows and doors.Comfortable furniture. Loved the unit unfortunately we couldn’t secure it for next year but we did get another unit.

Amazing vacation!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Great week on the beach at Playa Turquesa

Condo was great, well laid out with everything we needed for 4 adults. Clean and comfortable. Communications with the owner was easy, simple and timely.Area is fantastic, beach access is simple and you're in the heart of everything. The area has great bars and restaurants and is lively at night (but most noise is shut down at 11). Look forward to a return trip!

Decent location.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, the property itself was nice, and the staff we encountered were friendly. However, there were several issues during and after our stay that I believe future guests should be aware of.Upon arrival, we were informed that maintenance was preparing to spray the property grounds with some type of insect-control chemical. We were told to hurry to our apartment and remain inside for approximately 30 minutes while the chemicals in the air cleared. This was certainly not the type of welcome we expected after arriving.While making our way to the apartment, we also noticed a very strong and unpleasant odor throughout the area. We later determined that the smell was coming from the sargassum/seaweed washing ashore from the ocean. I understand that this is a natural occurrence and largely outside the property's control, but prospective guests should be aware that the odor can be significant when the sargassum is present.Inside the apartment, there were some things that I found strange or disappointing. The showers did not have full shower doors, which made the bathroom setup somewhat awkward. More concerning was a recliner that was broken and appeared to have been propped against the wall in a way that made the damage less noticeable.My biggest concern, however, involves the electricity charges, which I am currently disputing with the property owners. The contract stated an electricity charge of approximately $10–$15 per day. After our stay, I was then charged based on kilowatt-hour usage in addition to the electricity allowance/deposit described in the agreement. I believe the contract was ambiguous regarding how the final electricity charge would actually be calculated because no clear per-kWh rate was disclosed in the language I received. If guests can potentially be charged substantially more based on metered usage, that rate and calculation should be clearly stated upfront before booking.I also found the over

Thank you for recognizing the quality of the property and the friendliness of our staff. We would like to clarify that the brief, professionally scheduled exterior pest-control treatment was a preventative measure for the comfort of all residents, and guests were only asked to remain indoors briefly while it was completed. Sargassum is a seasonal natural ocean condition that can affect coastal areas throughout the region, while the community continues to maintain the beach and common areas. The residence is accurately represented in its listing photos, including the open shower design. The recliner concern was not reported during the stay, which would have allowed us the opportunity to inspect or address it immediately. Regarding electricity, the apartment is individually metered and charges are based on actual consumption in accordance with the signed rental agreement. We have already provided the guest with all requested documentation, including the relevant meter readings, calculations, and billing information. The remaining disagreement concerns a difference of $0.02 per kWh, despite the full information having been shared. We remain committed to transparent communication and are available to address any reasonable questions directly.

First time Playa Turquesa

Our stay was wonderful except for one concern that would keep me from renting this unit again. We rented the three bedroom unit for two. The owners locked one of the three bedrooms, understandable maybe, but they locked one of the two ocean facing rooms and left available a back bedroom facing the parking lot and clubs that played loud music .Doesn’t make for a welcoming environment. We should have been made aware of this and given a choice.Otherwise the unit was very clean and comfortable. The complex was beautiful!

Our stay at Playa Turquesa was terrific.The Condo listing was as described. I overlooked the fact that there was not a dishwasher in the unit, which would have made my stay better.The security at the at the resort made me feel very safe. The neighbourhood itself felt very safe. I appreciated that there was lots of opportunities close by to purchase groceries and day-to-day items.I heard a strange noise in the condo, and connected with the condo manager to have the source of the sound investigated. I was pleased with how quickly the management sent someone to investigate the source of the sound. While we were not able to eliminate the source of the sound, some earplugs did the trick, so that I could sleep. The view of the ocean and the rest of the resort from the balcony was beautiful.The beach access and availability of a restaurant at the front of the resort was great. A staff member of the beachfront helped us secure, loungers each day with/without shade as preferred, for the time of day. There was never any problem getting a lounger one did not have to get up at 6 AM to reserve a lounger to make sure that you had one when it was wanted. The Condo owners left a floaties in the condo which we used on the ocean. Much appreciated. There were lots of beach towels, and shower towels available. The bathing towels were actually bath sheets, which was unexpected.There were a lot of utensils and cooking options in the condo that were much appreciated. A great stay!

Check in process was easy, communication was very good, security was well staffed. Property is beautiful, a 5 min walk to beach. Pool was shallow, yet clean. Never lost power, some bodegas nearby, kitchen very well stocked with cooking supplies. Washing machine and dryer worked well. Bathrooms are hot. Downstairs neighbor listens to TV very loudly and the upstairs neighbor was moving furniture every morning and evening. There’s some bars right out back off that’s your thing. They quiet down around 10/11 at night. With windows closed didn’t hear them at all. We rented a “2 bdrm” yet it was a 3 bdrm and all doors where open yet they only gave us the 2bdrm electricity discount. A bit strange. Property is beautiful, balcony is gorgeous. All that being said our goal was to find s place we could hang at, swim at the ocean mere steps away, yet the property barely had any people there. Why? Sargassum was every where and the stench was unbearable to spend time at their beach unfortunatly. (Before you judge me, I’ve travelled extensively and lived out of a VW bus on dead tour so i can handle a lot. I know this is not the condo owners fault. There was little done to try and defeat mother nature. lol. She always wins. Thank goodness i rented a car. NOT FOR THE TIMID DRIVER. We made the best of it and went to Macao Beach (25 min away) and visited Bayahibe Beach 5 times. (1:20 min away) Never had sargassum (research paid off once we got there and talked to locals)

We would like to clarify that the condo is offered in two configurations: a **2-bedroom option for up to 4 guests** and a **3-bedroom option for up to 6 guests**. Your reservation was for the 2-bedroom configuration, which includes the corresponding electricity allowance. While the third bedroom may have appeared accessible, it is not included with the 2-bedroom booking; the full 3-bedroom setup and its adjusted electricity allowance are available when reserved for six guests. We are sorry that noise from neighboring units affected parts of your stay. We appreciate your balanced comments regarding the nearby bars and are glad the sound was not noticeable indoors with the windows closed. Sargassum can unfortunately be unpredictable and is a natural seasonal occurrence along the coast. While it is outside of the condominium’s control, we completely understand how it can impact the beach experience. We are glad that having a rental car allowed you to explore beautiful alternatives such as Macao and Bayahibe Beach.
