Waterfront Cabin on Lake Buchanan



Lone Eagle Lodge is located on the waters edge on the west side of Lake Buchanan. This charming 2 bedroom 1 bath cabin has a loft with king size bed and a trundle bed with awesome views of the lake and the private ranch across the water. There is also a private bedroom downstairs with large open kitchen and living area opening out to a deck leading down to a sandy beach area. The home sits on 17 acres with privacy and lots of space for your peaceful get away. You will enjoy the lake breezes, peace and quite of the countryside, and be entertained watching the wildlife on the ranch across the water as well as the deer and wildlife on the acreage around you. There is one other larger rental available, the BnR Lodge, for larger parties on the property. The owners home is also located on the property yet still offering plenty of space for everyone's privacy. This property is pet friendly with a pet fee of $25 per night per pet. We have a pier and boat slip for fishing, and day use boarding your boat and to secure your boat while you take a break from the water. The gradual slope of the water offers perfect swimming and or anchoring your boat in front of the house. Great location for children to be able to bring their bikes and have room to ride their bikes in a enclosed area with blacktop roads. There is also a putting green for the golf enthusiast. You can bring your own boat or arrange for boat rentals nearby, or just rest and relax and leave the hustle bustle of the crazy city life behind.

Not their fault

My husband and I brought our grandkids, 5, and 7 for a holiday in June. The property itself was clean and reasonably well-appointed. The deck is new. It does have a narrow spiral staircase to the loft which worried me with young children, but they did alright. Also the large windows up in the A frame need a way to keep scorching sun out. Beds were really comfortable and the washer and dryer were nice to have. The kids loved the jacuzzi. Kids also had a blast in the sandy beach. We also were able to hunt for arrowheads with the low water line. The outlook, across to open fields was nice and we enjoyed their horses, to give carrots and apples. We saw a road-runner. The downside of our stay was that the lake was SUPER low due to the drought and the zebra mussels wreaked havoc on our hands and feet while swimming. It was SO low that the entry was narrow and rocks were covered. Creek sneaks are a MUST. We brought a jet ski and kayaks and were able to enjoy the lake. The owner was kind and helpful and we would love to go back with more family renting the house next door (also their rental) when the water was higher. This is clearly not the fault of the owners, but renters need to watch the water levels.

Waterfront bliss

Our family of 5 had the most wonderful and relaxing experience staying at this cozy lake house. The splendour of nature around, waterfront and open sky views were a treat for us and the sand beach is ideal for younger children! We will be back for sure, thank you!

We had a great time. The area is kind of secluded so you donā€™t have all the boat traffic right in front of you. We all had fun swimming and playing in the water. We took our tritoon boat and anchored it right in front of the house. It worked great. Would definitely come stay again.

Fantastic!

We had such a great time at Sherri and Alanā€™s. The house was perfect for our family of 4. So much room! Our teens loved the loft upstairs. The lake was beautiful and we enjoyed kayaking, swimming and fish. The house was so well stocked and we loved the hot tea selection.

Cozy cabin on the lake sleeps 6 comfortably.

We chose this because it was close to Inks Lake and Colorado Bend State Park. Our kids loved swimming in lake Buchanan and our hosts were amazing.

Great location and house

Everything was great. The location couldn't be better. The only downside was the floor rugs were filled with sand, dirt and rocks and the pans were not really clean. There was also a dirty cookie sheet in the oven. These things are easily fixed and I wouldn't let that deter anyone from staying there. The owner helped us in with our bags which was very nice. Unlike some places we have stayed the kitchen is fully stocked with all you need to cook.

Weekend With the Wife and dogs

When we entered the house it was clean and you could smell the cleanliness. My wife gave it a two thumbs up and knowing my wife that is major. Nice music was playing as well when we entered. Very very happy I chose this location. Be ready to enjoy each others company because if you love to be head down in your phone forget it which is what we need. Sherri did tell us that wifi is ify but she has direct TV with plenty of channels. Sherri is very sweet and nice and communicates well to make sure your stay is pleasant. We will definitely be returning in the future....

Outdoor oasis with nice beach

We enjoyed our 2 day stay at this property! We only had 3 of us & our dog, but was able to kayak, grill out, & sit on deck to relax, read, & enjoy view. Sherri checked in on us once arrived which was nice. There is privacy even though another rental house on property next door. We would come back...great kitchen, access to lake, beach, & massive rock structures as enter property entrance which we took walk to & photos!

Great Property, Great Host

Our family of 4 really enjoyed this beautiful property. The owner, Alan, is a wonderful host that truly wanted us to enjoy our time spent there. We rented a boat from Alan, caught a few fish, and loved how peaceful and relaxing this trip was. Overall, it was an amazing vacation and we will be back in the near future.

Wonderful weekend getaway

My husband and two dogs enjoyed our weekend getaway. We took advantage of the boat rental and charcoal grill. Definitely bring some water shoes as recommended by the owner. You do have houses/cabin on either side but we still felt that it was pretty private. The lake is beautiful. The cabin is very clean and the owners are very friendly and polite. We are so thankful to have found this piece of paradise and have recommended it to other friends and family (as much as weā€™d love to keep it our little secret!). Great get away spot!

Great location, beautiful property! The water is great, easy access, lots of places to fish on the property! We lucked out and had it to ourselves for the 3 days we were here. The owners were very nice and easy to get a hold of. Highly recommend and can't wait to come back.

An Amazing Place To Get Away

On reviewer said the pictures do not do this lake house justice and they were right. This place is amazing. The location is perfect, right on the lake and made daily swims and kayak trips so convenient. Alan and Sherri were the best hosts and the communication was perfect. This will be our go to lake home rental for the future.
