This charming 1 bedroom apartment sleeping up to 2 guests, with the added benefit of off street parking is situated in Canonmills only 20 minutes’ walk from the city centre or, if you would rather not walk, there are very good, frequent local bus services which will take you to the city centre in about 5 minutes. The area offers a good selection of local restaurants and shops including Tesco’s with an ATM a couple of minutes walk from the apartment. Edinburgh’s beautiful botanical gardens are also only a short stroll from your door or you can access the riverside walk way along the waters of Leith and wander along to visit the museum of Modern Art.

The apartment is situated on the first floor of the block and the front door opens into a small light hallway with the light and airy open plan living room directly ahead of you. The freshly decorated living area is thoughtfully furnished with plenty of comfortable seating, a coffee table and a quirky craft wooden table and lamp. There is a TV with DVD player and WiFi for your entertainment. The bright and stylish kitchen area is well equipped with oven and hob, microwave, fridge with small freezer compartment. There is plenty of china glass and cookware for guests who wish to cook at home.

The bedroom is furnished with a comfortable double bed and offers plenty of storage space in a large wardrobe.

A generous shower room with large walk in shower, wash hand basin with mirror above, toilet and heated towels rail, completes the accommodation.

Short stay in Edinburgh

We really liked the flat. It was very clean and quiet and there is a big Tesco nearby. It is close to the city centre and we walked everywhere. But there is also a few buses one can use. We enjoyed our stay and would book again.

Handy location - walk to city

Convenient flat, good bed (very important) quirky decor, looks pretty but not all that comfy however so many things to see, it was mainly for sleeping. Easy for self catering with Tesco very close and lovely restaurants and pubs close by also. Plenty of parking spots

Nice place, but some drawbacks

The appartment was clean and tidy on arrival, but the dinning table was broken and was fixed while we were there. Positive features:- Good location close to shops, Botanical gardens and riverside walks. Walk or bus to city center was quick and easy. Plenty of Pubs and eateries within a short walk. Nice nieghbourhood. Negative points:- Paper thin walls, noise from other flats disturbing at times No washing machine. Only one bedside table and lamp for double bed. Furniture not that comfortable and table a liability. Managed by Agents who appear to have little interest in the upkeep ofthe property, so that faults and repairs have to reported on arrival rather than fixed beforehand. Overall I would not recommend this property to a friend at this price and would not return.

Average apartment, good location, good communication

This is a mid 20th century brown brick apartment in an estate of similar apartments. The furniture and fittings could do with an upgrade and are a little impractical / uncomfortable. The apartment is a 25 min walk from the centre of the city and is in a good, convenient location with great amenities all around. We had 1 night with very loud neighbours but other than that it was quiet. Communication was good with the property manager and they were helpful.

Abbiamo soggiornato presso questo appartamento una settimana in Agosto. Dista all'incirca 20 minuti a piedi dal centro città, però è molto ben servita dai mezzi pubblici. L'appartamento non è molto grande ma c'è tutto il necessario per passare un bellissimo soggiorno in stile scozzese. Il quartiere è molto tranquillo. Host molto gentili e disponibili. Ci siamo sentiti a casa.

The location is actually pretty good if you’re up for a short walk. It’s just outside of the hustle and bustle, but it is still just a quick walk to get to stuff and is next to a Tesco grocery store. Overall, I think the flat itself is pretty average. The shower made the whole unit feel humid with a hot shower and the living furniture was not super comfortable. The largest grievance with our stay was that we were woken up 3/5 nights by neighboring flats in the building. The walls are very thin and you can hear all of the noises from other flats and even the opening and closing of the shared stairwell doors is enough to wake you up. I understand there’s not much the property management can control about neighbors during one’s stay, but it was enough that I’d likely look elsewhere if staying in Edinburgh again.

Perfect Location

Nicely appointed apartment in a perfect location for visiting Edinburgh. Very convenient for the city centre either on foot or by bus, with regular services to different parts of the city. Good variety of local shops and restaurants within easy proximity, including top-rated restaurants in Leith. The on-site car parking, overlooked from the apartment, is a real bonus

Had a wonderful stay, unfortunately the last two day there was construction in the flat above us, as my daughter was working from the flat the noise was quite disruptive, overall excellent stay very clean and tidy and close to amenities,

Perfect base for visiting Edinburgh and Leith - Lovely apartment

My wife and I stayed here for 6 nights while visiting Edinburgh and surrounding areas. The apartment is in a nice quiet residential area with a parking spot just outside the kitchen window. There is a Tesco Supermarket just around the corner along a footpath that can be directly accessed from the complex. It was a great location for us and took about 25 mins to walk into Edinburgh Old Town and about 30 mins to walk to Leith (we didn't use the car at all). The apartment itself was clean, tidy and well furnished. The bed was comfy, shower was powerful, kitchen well equipped and the lounge had a nice TV with Youview and there was also excellent Wifi Broadband. The host was great, excellent communication and easy check-in-check out. Thanks :)

Great wee flat

Great flat with parking in a quiet residential area which was very central. Fridge had been missed in the clean before we arrived however property owners were very apologetic and the rest of the flat did seem to have been cleaned. Fantastic shower and I would recommend this as a good value for money place to stay if you are visiting Edinburgh.
