Perfect stay in South Bend

It truly felt like we were staying at a friends home! This lovely home had everything that we needed and the communication was fabulous. I absolutely highly recommend it!

Wonderful House

We loved the antiques and how clean the house was. The area is extremely charming and the beds were perfect. We had a very comfortable stay and will do it again when in the area.

Lovely place to stay!!

We really enjoyed this house! It’s close to everything and spacious enough for families. It was quaint and made you feel at home. The owner was very communicative. We will definitely stay here again in the future!!

Beautiful Home

Home was clean, comfy and cozy. Location was great. Located near Notre Dame and a lot of shops & restaurants. The owner was wonderful and quick with responding. Will definitely stay again in the future!

Just wonderful!

My two daughters and I stayed here for 8 nights while attending a sports event at Notre Dame. The house is in a great location-a quick drive of about a mile down the street to get to the stadium and shops on Eddy Street. The property manager was quick to communicate with any concerns and went above and beyond to get the house ready right at check in time for us. We consider this our home away from home in South Bend and hope to be back soon!

Quaint

Very clean place decorated with antiques. We came for a Notre Dame game. The only thing I could say is that we wished that there was some type of cable or satellite tv to watch sports while we were not at the game It did say there was Netflix but we had no password. Also there was only seating for two to watch tv and no tv in any of the bedrooms .I would say if you have no interest in tv then the place is a great place to stay.

All the Comforts of Home

Clean with a fully stocked kitchen. Abundant towels in each bathroom; quiet and comfortable. About a 25 minute walk to Notre Dame stadium. This property had everything we needed.

Notre Dame/Pitt game weekend.

Cindy’s place was great— very clean and roomy for four of us(my two sons and best friend). It was very close to campus and to various bars and restaurants. Cindy even had candy in the rooms as a Halloween treat, which was pretty cool. Would love to do business with Cindy again in the future.👍

very clean and comfortable

We just spent the New Years weekend at this property and had five adults in this warm and cozy 3 bedroom house. We walked in to a very clean and well kept property and had a wonderful stay. Plenty of room for 5 adults and the owner was easily reachable to answer any questions we had about this home. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone looking to stay for an ND game.

Great Stay Great Host!

After a horrific stay using vrbo competitor, this trip was a breath of fresh air! Host was very responsive, communicated instructions on time and clearly and answered questions quickly that arose during our stay. House is charming, creaky old wood floors, cutely furnished, very homey in a good way. Between family room, front room and enclosed porch, there was plenty of room. Bedrooms are comfortable, bedrooms upstairs. Very close to campus. We drove but it would not be a bad walk. Corner is a bit noisy as others mentioned but didn't bother us. We would love to stay again sometime!

The property was adequate. The stairway has some safety issues as there were no handrails at the top section and the handrails in the main stairway were loose. Being in our 70's it was tenuous to navigate. Tha kitchen ware was old and not adequate for all the cooking we did...spatulas and tongs for bacon and eggs would be nice. We improvised!!. It would have been nice to use the porch, but it was filthy and we did thing it was our place to clean the chairs and sweep and wash down. Nice lication and we left it much cleaner than when we arrived. It could be really nice with a little cleaning and better utensils for cooking and other kitchen necessities. My guess is they are expecting kids and people going to the game that don't care about cooking or using it as a home versus a place to just stay. .

Great location but very noisy area

Our family was there for our first Notre Dame football game. Cindy was very accommodating and responsive. The house was in a great location but being right on busy corner was extremely noisy with cars, etc. The streaming TV was a bit challenging to work too but Cindy immediately responded and saved the day for the boys who wanted to watch some Game Day football. The house is dated… it could benefit with some small upgrades, specifically the bathrooms. All in all it was a 10 of a weekend!!

This place had everything we needed. Beds were comfy, it was quiet, & we enjoyed the outdoor area with the covered table, grill & firepit. Wood was even provided which was very convenient. We were able to walk or scooter to much of what we wanted to see from here. We very much enjoyed our time here!

Nice stay!

The rental process and finding the house was a breeze! We stayed here for the Benton Harbor 70.3 Ironman weekend that I competed in and it was an easy 50 minute drive to Benton Harbor/St. Joseph where you have lots of beach access to Lake Michigan! The house was clean, provided everything we needed and Cindy was super great at communication through the VRBO app. We didn’t explore South Bend at all so I can’t speak to how close the house is to fun things around there, but it was a nice stay nonetheless and the bathrooms are very spacious which was an added bonus! We LOVED all the cute little sayings around the house in the artwork too!

Love living in South Bend, which is a college town, with lots to do.
Previously owned a Bed and Breakfast, so have experience in the hospitality business. Have a passion for older homes, because of the character they possess. This is the 4th home that I have restored, and I'm proud of the new life I have given it.
I'm also very grateful for my job as a nurse at Memorial hospital, working with mothers, and their babies.
For fun I like to walk my little dog Kerry(named after the county in Ireland), read, go to the movies/theater, travel, fish, bike ride, and hang out with my best friend Ric.

Varför värden valde detta boende

Very charming, well built older home with tons of character. All of the windows give it a lot of natural light. Front porch is covered, and very relaxing to sit and watch the traffic go by. It is a straight walk down Tywkenham to get to the Notre Dame campus. The neighborhood is safe, and well established with unique, and well cared for homes.
