Steps away from the beach and Palisades Park, this private residence duplex rental is great for a couple, two couples, or families who like the coziness of a home away from home. This is a great opportunity to step into the beach life, in a unique North Pacific Beach neighborhood at the southern border of La Jolla.

Close to all: (beach, boardwalk, restaurants, nightlife & shopping), yet quietly removed from the hubs of activity for a good night's sleep. You and your family can enjoy a bonfire on the wrap-around deck and listen to the waves crash. Walk to the beach in minutes with all beach amenities provided (soft surfboards, boogie boards, beach toys, coolers, and many more).

We provide off-street parking in a busy beach area. 1 Parking Spot is available in a shared/private driveway. Palisades Park & Law Street Beach is just around the corner.

Full kitchen with all amenities to prepare home cooked meals (food excluded)
WiFi, and smart TVs in living room & bedrooms.

Available toys for your beach outing include, surfboards, boogie boards, paddles boards, beach chairs & umbrella, cooler, and a beach wagon to help get it all there.

Cute Beach Cottage

The cottage was perfect for our brief trip to visit family in San Diego. The two bedroom, one bath was just the right size for our family of 3. The home is close to the beach with lots of equipment (boogie boards, surf boards, chairs, etc). Clean and cozy and highly recommended!

Great for families!

We stayed here for 5 nights with our 3 kids (age 4-9) and it was perfect! The location is AMAZING - about a 4-5 min walk to the beach (at most!). The dishwasher and washer/dryer were lifesavers and the house is super cute. It was the perfect size and had EVERYTHING - beach toys, boogie boards, a beach blanket, a cooler, surf boards, paddle boards, beach wagon, beach chairs, etc. We couldn't have asked for anything better. The hosts were super responsive and communicative as well - very nice to work with. It was so perfect and it'd be a dream to stay here again! Thanks for a fabulous vacation!

Great stay close to the ocean!

Stayed with my wife and 2 children, and we loved it! The location is amazing, so close to the beach and tons of restaurants. We also made the short drive to La Jolla several times. The place itself was clean, well organized, and had everything you could want. Especially loved all the beach equipment and boogie boards, seriously they have it all. As a couple other reviewers mentioned, we were there in July so the house can get pretty hot during the day but we were so busy out doing things it wasn't an issue. In the evenings we used fans and it cooled off quickly. Overall we loved our stay and would absolutely come back here and stay again.

Amazing Beach and Surf Trip for the family

We had a wonderful stay in the beach cottage. It's an amazing location, and enjoyed all the extras (Surfboards, boogie boards, beach wagon, beach chairs, wetsuits for everyone). We were setup well for a fun 5 days at the beach. Being right on the surfing beach was perfect for my 2 teen boys to teach themselves how to surf! It's walking distance to many restaurants in PB and great for families. Everything was clean and worked well in the unit. For sure will be coming back in the future.

We loved staying so close to the beach. We could also easily walk to restaurants for dinner. The house was very well stocked with amenities and even fun beach toys which the kids really enjoyed. Thank you!

Everything you could want in a beach stay!

We had the best time staying here with our two young children (5 and 15 months). The location is a short walk to the beach and they have everything you need to spend the day there. It helped so much to have an the amenities to be able to cook and wash our clothes, and the check in process/communication with the host could not have been easier. Even in March it got warm a few of the days but we just kept the doors open with the screens closed and it kept everything the perfect temperature with the fans going. The beds were extremely comfortable and everyone slept so well. It truly was the best place and we all highly recommend it!

Family Vacation

We booked this place for our family visiting us in San Diego from out of town. They loved the neighborhood and the easy access to the boardwalk and beach. The home is cozy and comfy with all the amenities. The outside deck area is a nice space to sit and chat.

Perfect PB location!

Great beach bungalow! Loved the location close to the beach and restaurants but quiet and safe in a lovely neighborhood with private parking. House was clean and well stocked with everything we needed and communication with host was excellent.

Good location within walking distance of beach

The cottage has lots of potential: great location a block from the beach at Law Street, quiet neighborhood with cottage in a shared court, wrap around porch, and all of the beach gear you can think of, including surfboards, boogie boards and wetsuits! My kids were so excited! Everywhere inside the unit was very clean, but when opening windows to air the place out I had to clean dirt out of the windowsills so it wouldn’t blow in. No AC is normal for many homes in coastal San Diego, but this little place heated up quickly and didn’t have great circulation even with the windows open. It was only in the mid to high 70s during the day outside, but inside it was way warmer. (Owners should consider this when they remodel, and maybe improve insulation, or add attic fans/vents.) Local property manager Rachelle came to the rescue and brought additional fans and extension cords, and over the next few days it was far more comfortable. Thank you Rachelle! The white front door iron screen is super rusty, and is a turn-off when first checking in (needs replacement or just a sanding and easy repaint). Some screens have rips or tears and need to be replaced and others hosed off. In the end, because of Rachelle’s responsiveness, we had a nice stay. She managed everything in her power so wonderfully! The owners of the property should consider some repairs to the property to make the place more comfortable and kept-up. It would make a difference. We’d consider staying again.

What a terrific special beach getaway. Really worth the money.

This special beach house was exactly what we had hoped for. The outside was a little older which made the beach feel even better. The inside was very updated and amazingly comfortable. Two bedrooms were nicely decorated; the living room space was open with a dining table which made the family time enjoyable. The bathroom was so nicely put together with extras in case you forgot your soap, etc. the kitchen was really great. The frig was a little older but it made the beach house warm and friendly. The bonus of having an inside washer/dryer was convenient and having all the comfies of home was at your reach. It is located in a beach community so parking is limited if you have more than two cars so if you are planning for others to join you, plan ahead. Last, the host was fantastic in communication and I can tell you, our family loved this getaway gem and would love to come back again. 💝

San Diego Get Away

This was a perfect little get away in SanDiego. The house was perfect for the 4 of us that stayed. There was also a pack-and-play at the house so we did not have to bring one. The property manager was so easy to communicate with and I appreciate her answering all of my questions. We were minutes walk from the beach and walked everywhere for our meals. We will definitely be coming back and hopefully, this property will be available when we do.

Great proximity to the beach.

The place has the necessary things for a beach vacation. The place is really close to the beach and they have some beach gear available. The weather was a bit warm and adding the poor air quality, air conditioning is needed. The place needs some love. There were ripped screens, worn deck furniture and we saw roaches. The manager was made aware. Oh, as per the note on the fridge, the televisions only work if you have Netflix. We did not use them.

Perfect Paradise

Our stay was beyond our expectations! The cottage was beautiful, clean and quiet. We loved being able to quickly walk to the beach whenever we wanted to. It is also very close to shopping and dining. We only had to drive somewhere when we went for other excursions. The amenities are above & beyond!! Having the boogie boards, beach chairs, beach umbrella, cooler and the wagon to get it all down to the beach, made our beach time so much more fun & relaxing!! As an added bonus, the neighbors are super fun & friendly!! We would stay here 100 times over!!!

Great Location! Cute Place!

Great location! So close to Law beach which isn’t as crowded than the other beaches. Cute place. Great patio. Nice indoors. Lots of boogie boards, wet suits, surf boards, beach chairs and towels for use. The owners are very nice and easy to contact. Thanks for having us!

Great Home by the Beach

The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed. Outdoor patio was a plus and you can't beat the quick walk to the beach. We got great use of the beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards. Easy check-in and host was very accommodating.

Vacation

Our stay at the cottage went really well. The house was very clean and close to the beach. We did notice that upon arriving, and looking at the rooms, one of the bed frames was broken and causing the mattress on that side to sink. I notified Rachelle, the property manager, in case she was not aware, and mentioned that she did not know about the bed. She was quick to respond and was able to fix the bed the very next day. She was very easy to communicate with and she checked in on us during the week, which we appreciated. If you're looking for a place to stay that's close to the beach, this is a great option.

Fantastic location!

Our stay was perfect. The location was right around the corner from the beach. There were ample supplies and linens available and Rachelle was highly communicative. Planning on staying again the next time we’re in town.

Great location

Picked this cottage because of the location and great reviews. I was not disappointed. Check in was super easy. The owners just messaged me with check in info. The driveways in this neighborhood are all very inclined and we couldn't park in the designated parking spot with a sedan, but street parking wasn't an issue in January. Super quiet neighborhood with lots of walkable restaurants. Kitchen loaded with everything you might need for an extended stay. If the weather has been better we would have used the patio more. Neighbors are all very nice. Great little cottage for a family!

Great family Christmas getaway

We had a great stay on our holiday vacation. It was like a home away from home. We had everything we needed to have fun on the beach including wagon, umbrellas, chairs and kids sand toys. We were very close to the beach and shops. We also had all we needed to have cozy bonfires at night. The property manager was easy to get a hold of. I highly recommend this property if you are looking for something near the beach.

A home near the water has always been a dream of ours. For years we would drive through beach cites in search of a beach house. When this rough gem of a property went up for sale, we thought it must already be sold. It's too close to the water to still be available. Taking a chance, we called up the number on the sign. We couldn't believe that it was available. It had just gone on the market. With a little bit of TLC, we turned this rough gem into our dream beach cottage to get away from the fast paced city life. Unfortunately, from time to time, we have to return to our fast paced city life, so while we are away, we want others to enjoy the gem that we created in this wonderful beach community. We hope you enjoy the home away from home that we have created.
