Wonderful Stay

Such a cute place, clean, and well stocked with everything we needed. Beds were super comfy with lots of pillows. Plenty of parking and great beach access. Appreciated all the streaming options. The wifi didnt work, but we didnt need it anyway. We will definitely stay here agoisn.

Perfect location for family vacation

This was the perfect spot for a family vacation. Fishing for my teen. A pool for my daughter. Golf nearby for my husband and dad. The beach for my mom and I. The beach is beautiful and clean. The unit we stayed in had everything we needed. The views from the balcony of the ocean were wonderful.

Loved our 3 bedroom condo!

My 2 sisters and myself recently stayed at Nadine’s condo. There was a notebook that told us everything we needed to know from checking in to the day we leave. She was so sweet to leave us a nice note taped to a bottle of wine. 💕💕💕💕💕

Great for family getaway.

Unit was well stocked with supplies, utensils, and appliances for family meals and overall comfort. Though the tile floors quickly darkened bare feet, the rest of the unit was very clean and tidy. Nadine was a great communicator and host! Unfortunately, some of the amenities in the listing were not available and under construction, such as whirlpool hot tub and indoor pool. I thought a sauna was also listed, but was not found on site. Overall, a great, roomy location near things to do, with ample free parking. We would definitely go back again.

Mermaid Retreat

We had a wonderful time! The condo was perfect for my nieces wedding. Plenty of room for my husband and myself as well as my two adult children. The resort was nice as well, with centrally located pool and seconds from the beach. My only complaints were with the bar restaurant in the resort. Of the three times we went there, two times the bill was incorrect. I wouldn't have my minded this but it took the staff over an hour to figure it out. Overall I would highly recommend The Mermaid retreat Condo at St Regis Resort.

Perfect for the family.

This condo is clean and well equipped with all of our kitchen needs. The furniture and beds are comfortable. The pool area was nice. All of the employees we encountered were very pleasant. Location, responsiveness, and an excellent experience

Nadine has been most responsive from booking to checking in and out. She always answers to make sure we have what we need. Her condo is cozy, inviting with attention to details. Beach front with 2 days of relaxation and lots of fun with groups of friends. Highly recommend to anyone! Thank you Nadine .

North topsail condo

Everything with the condo was very clean and description was accurate. Good feedback from property manager when questions arose. We had a great time with family. Wifi was not the greatest, had a hard time watching movies at night. The resort complex itself seemed like it could have been kept up better.

Fabulous & Relaxing

What a delightful week we had at Mermaids Retreat! Quality of linens are very good. Everything was in good working order in the condo. Washer & dryer worked great! Loved having the rollaways too. Pool was a favorite of the children. Beach was very nice too & we took advantage of Grants Beach Rental umbrella & chairs service for the week. Pots & pans are worn out is my only recommendation to better manage. We bought a couple to use for the week. Thanks so much Nadine for great family memories!!

Mermaid Retreat

Condo and location was perfect for us. Plenty of room for eight people and plenty of activities look for all ages. We found the Condo had everything we needed. No negatives at all about the condo. But the cleaning of the pool really needed to be done more frequently. There was one day it was truly unusable and did not want our little kids there. Also a lot of the adults parked themselves in the little kid pool area with their drinks. One afternoon so many our kids had no room to get in with the steps. I cannot recommend the Ocean Edge restaurant (I will not elaborate on that. Not enough space). Really enjoyed the new Arrr Pirate bar and grill. Best potato tots ever had and of course the ice cream shop was an afternoon must. Plan to definitely be back and already planning for another group trip there hopefully in same condo. There are many other places to go and eat.

Quiet stay in North Topsail

We really liked the condo! It was very clean and in a great location on the resort property. All we had to do was walk up one flight of stairs and we were home. It was so convenient to have keyless entry, an on-site game room was a few doors down, and the trash chute right outside our door. The condo itself was roomy and had everything we could need. The master bed did get pretty hot because of the foam topper but there was a fan in the room which helped. Our kids had a blast in the pool and on the beach, and it was so easy to come inside for lunch or a break from the sun. We really loved the ice cream they sold at the pool bar too :) The only cons (for us) was the distance to the majority of the restaurants in Surf City and on the last night of our stay, we saw a large water bug in the condo (they are hard to keep out because if the climate). We really appreciated the owners book of details!! The only addition might be to list where the recycling bins are near the elevator. We happily stumbled upon them while exploring. Thanks for a great stay!!

Worst experiece ever!

Filthy disgusting mess. Arrived at 5:00 on July 6 and left before midnight. I notified host of terrible conditions when we arrived. Flies throughout and lit on linens left out and on bed in master. Killed those flies and more lit on the exact same place in the linens. Dirty paper towels left on sofa. I informed the host that we were driving to Jacksonville Walmart to get new linens, towels, and cleaning supplies and would expect a refund for those items. The real only reply the host made throughout the night was they never give refunds. To me that means not the first time asked. We went back to condo and started to clean and when we found blood on the wall next to chair in livingroom we were done. Notified VRBO of the fifth and sent them photos. The customer service representative took my information and repeatedly said don't worry. With everyone I knew they were going to be no help. I continued to message host but got no reply. She went from hist to ghost. Finally gotba reply the next day and she informed me that she had not received any messages because she was at the hospital all night with her mother in law. In addition to the horrible condition the number of beds was very much exaggerated. The listing said 3 twin beds in on room and it had two with a rollaway in the closet. The master bedroom was listed as queen bed and twin. When it had yet another rollaway in the closet. The living room had a fold out and was listed as a fold out and a twin again no twin bed.

Family wedding

Online pictures made the condo seem much larger. It had most everything we needed (crib, high chair, a few toys…). We didn’t have any dishwasher soap and some of the bedroom lamps needed new light bulbs. My relatives stayed in 3 bedroom condos on the property as well with very updated interiors. All in all, we did enjoy ourselves and the property was very clean and everything was in good working order.

I'm from Minnesota and my husband is from Michigan. We have always dreamed of owning a beach condo and it's finally come true! We currently live in NC and have 3 adult children, 2 of whom also live in NC. We have one grandson and 3 dogs. We are looking forward to using this condo for years to come and hope that you enjoy it as much as we do.

Varför värden valde detta boende

We were drawn to St. Regis by the many amenities it offers, feels a lot like a resort. You can stay onsite if you're not wanting to drive, or you can head down to Surf City for some action. The Ocean's Edge not also has excellent food and service, it also offers a panoramic view of the intracoastal and ocean. Splash isn't far down the road and also offers pretty tasty pizza and entrees. I love collecting seashells and sharks teeth, both of which are in abundance on our beach.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

We love spaciousness of the living area, the tile floors and light in every room. The kitchen has been stocked as if it were my own, including a food processor, and large pot that can be used for steaming crab and crab crackers. There's also a crock pot if you want to have something cooking while you're at the beach. We love the snack bar by the pool in the summer and my grandson enjoys the arcade. Mermaids have always been one of my daughter's delight, and so the name.
