Resort home review

Loved the king sized beds and the sheets. Loved being dog friendly! Loved being up in the trees during fall color! Loved the open living space and kitchen.

Girls weekend

We had a lovely time staying here for a girls only, much needed, long weekend getaway. There was plenty of room for all five of us. Honestly, this was the cleanest home I have ever stayed in and the decor made us feel right at home. The house and views are beautiful and everything we wanted to do was just a short drive away. Grace was a most gracious host, very easy to communicate with her, though we never had any need to. We would definitely come back and highly recommend.

Weekend Willness

Sent 8 staff for a get away and a weekend Willness training. They said the had a wonderful time and felt extremely relaxed. They truly deserve and needed this little retreat.

Great Cabin for a Weekend of Skiing

We had a great time staying at the cabin for a long weekend of skiing at Timberline and Canaan. It was very clean and everything was in great condition. It’s in a great location near Davis and only a short drive to top notch skiing.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was like your favorite aunt gave you the keys to her villa for the weekend! Very cozy, had everything we needed and more. And the host could not be more accommodating!

Fathers 75th Birthday

Rented this cozy cabin for my fathers 75th Birthday and it was a wonderful stay. Grace, the owner was very responsive and made the experience even more enjoyable. Cabin is clean and well stocked with everything you could think of for your stay. We brought our 2 dogs and there is a nice trail nearby with two ponds which they really enjoyed. Would stay here again with no hesitation.

Clean, spacious, things to do nearby, great host. Nothing wrong with property at all but description indicates one room has 3 queens and a twin, but it's 1 queen & twin. Would definitely stay here again!

Nice home

Home was as advertised! Well appointed and had most of your day to day items available in case you wanted to prepare a meal and forgot something. Communication was great and the water pressure is unbelievable! Looking forward to renting this home again.

90th Birthday Celebration

Excellent location for our 90th Birthday celebration for my mother-in-law! We did everything we wanted to do in skiing, tubing, and hiking and then had 3 comfortable cottages to return to for dinner, cocktail hour and birthday celebration. This cottage met all of our needs and we would consider returning in future winter seasons!

Cabin 93

This deluxe cabin is clean, comfortable, and perfectly situated--it's just minutes from both Blackwater Falls and Canaan Valley State Parks, and the little towns of Davis and Thomas. It had everything we needed to accommodate our group of eight adult friends. The kitchen was very well outfitted and we enjoyed sitting around the large family table for both breakfast and dinner each day! We also enjoyed the deck and the wooded view and star gazing at night. Highly recommended this cabin and Grace was a great hostess and check in and departing was a breeze!

Enjoyed this property!

We really enjoyed our stay, the property was nice and clean, the only thing was not being able to control the thermostat, the home gets really warm in the afternoon with the sun coming through the windows. Windows have no blinds or shades making it difficult to seat in the living room. The bedrooms get really warm at night. Overall we really enjoyed this property and had a great time.

Winter holiday

My adult children and I had a lovely time at this convenient and comfortable home. Comfortable beds, wood floors (which always feel cleaner to me), kitchen stocked with pots and pans and spice basics, oil, etc. Convenient location to drive to Timberline and Davis and hiking.

Perfect Cabin

LOVE this place!

We had a great time during our stay. The cabin provided us with all our needs and more. It was beautifully decorated and well kept. The T.V programming/streaming met all age groups wishes, especially during those rainy days or late nights. It was a short drive to winter sports, waterfalling, hiking, and great food. This is a great place to stay. The owner’s communication was exceptional and ensured that all our needs were met. Our family is definitely excited to return. 💕

cannan valley labor day weekend

One of the best owners I've ever dealt with regarding a vacation rental. The property was very clean and open. Nice deck. Beautiful area. Lots to do outdoors and don't miss the nearby town of Thomas. Quirky doesn't really cover it.

Beautiful, Lovely and Cozy! Perfect Cabin

I love this CABIN, love the decor, lots of natural lights, very clean, cozy !! there’s a lot of things to do just in the neighborhood and only few mins to major tourist attractions. The Cabin has a large deck, woke up early and drink my coffee at the deck, has a very cute Master bedroom, very unique ! The house is perfect, location is the best ! We visited some beautiful stunning waterfalls , did a short scenic hiking, Dine at Canaan resort, watch the sunset at Lindy point, Enjoyed my visit to Blackwater state park, enjoyed my scenic ski lift ride to the top of Canaan Valley! We wanted to see Dolly sods and Seneca rocks, maybe next visit !! This is a quick visit… we will bring the entire family during the ski season. This location and the cabin is Perfect for us!! Love this CABIN! Exceeded my Expectation! We are booking again this winter. Alma
