Peaceful getaway

Nice place to stay, being pet friendly is a plus since we traveled with our fur babies. The house was clean and well organized. And we enjoyed the peaceful neighborhood.

Comfortable and affordable

We really enjoyed our stay. The home was roomy and comfortable, and close to the beach and other nearby attractions. Our kids loved fishing off the pier.

2024 Ocean Isle Vacation

This is I don’t know I have lost count on how many times we have stayed at this location. We enjoyed our stay at Crane cottage. We rented both locations one for us and the other (Thrush) for my daughter and her family. Love fishing from piers with our grandchildren. Close location to Myrtle beach activities. Short drive to Ocean Isle and Holden beaches.

Nice Stay

VERY quiet neighborhood and great walking. My mother was recovering from a long illness and enjoyed the screened in porch. Bedrooms and baths were very nice. Kitchen had most everything we needed but I would suggest some more glassware and coffee mugs Loved being close to Shallotte and Ocean Isle Beach. Overall, a great trip and would rent again. (PS....wind chimes would be lovely)

Thankful

We spent Thanksgiving week with family in OIB. Crane cottage fit the bill. Nice little community. We even were able to see the boat flotilla from the dock. Sunsets was fabulous!

Annual Ocean Isle Getaway

Cottage was nice and good condition. The screened-in front porch is great. Nice breezes come through from the ocean. Owner communicated well pre and during our stay. Cleaning group was very quick to pick up yard debris from the storm. We did not want to be directly on the ocean or the river. This location fit the bill for commuting to shopping and restaurants.

Nice quiet neighborhood. Home was perfect for 3 couples and our dogs. Pier close to home is an extra plus! Great fishing there! We would definatly stay here again!

Great Neighborhood and Location

Great Neighborhood and Location. This little cottage is located two blocks from the Intercoastal waterway. The place had 3 bedrooms, a well supplied Kitchen and nice bathroom. We were within walking distance from the dock and had the opportunity to fish and kayak. The intercoastal is a very busy water way so you should be a decent kayaker if you plan on lounching from the dock area. The people there are very friendly and the town is awesome. Great Food. We did not go to the beach so can not say anything about that but everything thing you need is within a short drive. We will visit this area again in the future.

Excellent location

Communication with the property owner was great. The property was as described. The pier was a very short walk and beautiful views. Only negative was we had to leave early because of the hurricane. Thank you for letting us rent your cottage Mike.

It was not cleaned all floor was gritty feeling

And roaches all over floors in every room but they were dead first I pick all up and put in trash and we did not see any more till on Thursday of the week one was in kitchen on floor then owner asked me to leave my dog on the front porch and I did but he scratch a small hole in the screen and he made me pay 75 dollars for it where he had people that he paid to clean and spray house that done it was only small scratch

A very relaxing week

To sum it up in 3 words "easy and awesome". The check in and all the pre arrival questions were delt efficiently and professionally by the owner himself, Mike. He was timely in his responses as well factual and detailed. What struck me the most was that he presented and preformed as a person that not only had great concern about his property, but moreover he cared about those who were renting his place, the experience they were having and did call he could to endure that the experience was problem free. He was available at any point if there was an issue or problem to be delt with . This was very reassuring and for the record we had zero issues or problems. The house itself for us was just the right size is very well maintained and was clean clean clean upon our arrival. The neighborhood it's located in is very quiet and peaceful. You have a great view of the intercoastal waterway from the front screened in porch and gets plenty of shade from the large trees located in the yard. . Once your settled in and start exploring you quickly find out that you are close to everything. Wether it's Walmart or Blazes's Public's or the ocean, the majority of places you may want to go are only a few minutes from this base location. Additionally not one time for the duration of our stay did we encounter any traffic problems. The people we encounter were great. Wether it was shopping laying around the beach eating or just checking the area out, the people we uncountered were great. They were polite, outgonig and helpful. Finally if your into events well you have picked the right spot. It seemed to us that the area and areas next to it always had something going on. It might be music in the park, a festival, sporting event or the ever present fishing tournament there was always something going on or something worth checking out. That's in addition to the golf courses that are very close by, along with some of the best places to eat that you have ever been to. All of this is within a few short minutes of this homes location. In closing and on a personal note, we had the best time while there. Relaxing doesn't even begin to discribe what we got out of our stay. It's Andrea we enjoyed being in at a home that was really a home away from home provided to us by an owner that not only cares about those who rent his home but rather wants to share the amenities, peaceful feelings and experiences that this home and it's location has to offer. The community has two piers and a boat ramp which we love to use. It is surrounded by beautiful beaches and golf courses. The people are warm, friendly and helpful.
