Welcome to Blissful Beach House, located on the end of a quiet street, just a few minutes walk from Cape Kiwanda in beautiful Pacific City. This lovely home features an open living floor plan and a spacious wrap around deck, both on the main floor and ground level, for outdoor entertaining. The well-appointed country kitchen has a center island breakfast bar and the dining area has seating for six. The living room offers a vaulted ceiling and bay windows that allow great natural light. Round it out with comfy seating, a flat screen TV and DVD player and a gas fireplace for cozy nights in. There is also a primary bedroom and a full bath with tub/shower combo located on this floor. Downstairs you’ll find a bedroom with a queen size bed and a bunk room with a double/twin bunk bed. There is a second full bathroom with a walk in shower on this level. The owners have thoughtfully provided books and games for those rainy coastal days. This home is pet friendly for up to two dogs (no other pets allowed, sorry)

The location was perfect. The only complaint was the trash can needs to be bigger and the stairs got bothersome. Will do it again just no stairs

Needs improvement

The house overall has a very musty smell. There was a dead animal smell in the living room. The fireplace would not light up. We were very disappointed with the lodging but it was beautiful weather so we stayed outside except to sleep. I reported it by phone to the listing company.

Weekend adventure

We decided to visit the area for the weekend to see what it offered. The road to the house was terrible. It's listed as gravel. That would have been fine. In reality, the first part was a patchwork mess of bumpy asphalt and gravel. Not the homeowners fault, city issue. House was pet friendly. That was a plus. It didn't smell like pets either.The garage was accessible. That was an amazing plus!! Very nice. Lots of games and videos. It would help if there was instructions on how to run... Anything. Ceiling fan worked, after son accidentally turned on TWO light switches at once... The TV worked but was apparently Internet only. We were not sure as there were no directions..Kitchen was well stocked. Overall, a decent experience. I would recommend it, with an explanation of its downfalls.

DRIVING ON THE BEACH

The baby toys and safety gate for the stairs was a great Suprise. They helped a lot with the 18 month's stay. The kitchen had everything we needed. The lawn chairs were much appreciated on the beach. The upper deck was good for sitting on and allowing the little one to run on. We used a few of the games in the closet which were nice! We did have a few suggestions/concerns. 1. There appeared to be some poison ivy on and around the lower deck and stairs. If it is, that should be killed and removed. 2. The supports that attached the upper deck to the house are rusted and several are broken and failed. Those should all be replaced. 3. The trash roll-around was very small and was half full when we arrived. we had some concerns with disposing of the trash when leaving. it would be nice to have a larger trashcan for the kitchen! 4. A sheet of house instructions would be nice to be able to read on arrival. We did not find one. we figured out how to use the fireplace on our last morning for example. 5. The internet information from the arrival email did not work. There was an unsecured network that we were able to use there, and it was fairly fast. The street was quiet which was nice.
