The Edelweiss Haus at Snowshoe offers one of the best locations on Snowshoe Mountain for a family (or multi-family) ski vacation. The home has 7 bedrooms and 5 baths located on Snowshoe's famous western territory. Our location is VERY convenient to both Snowshoe and Silver Creek and is serviced by Snowshoe's free shuttle service that picks you up at the top of your driveway (no long walk in ski boots!). Once you arrive, park the cars in our new off-street parking and forget about driving for the remainder of your stay. We love it! The home has 2 full kitchens, 2 fireplaces, a step-in private hot tub, a game room, a covered front porch, large back deck. We can easily accommodate 20+ guests of all ages comfortably. All 8 TVs have Roku installed and include Hulu Live TV at no charge. Free Transportation! Free high-speed mesh WiFi and free Long Distance!

Not the best Vacation rental

This house is run by a company not a family, read the cancelation policy before you book or you could loose most of your money if you have to cancel or change it.I received a call 2 days before our stay that the hot tub is not working, bummer since we had planned to use it.The lower level of this house does not have a thermostate so it gets very cold during the day when you are on the main level. It was 50 to 55 degrees when we tried to go to bed with hats and 2 comforters. It does warm up when everyone goes to bed and the main level calls for heat.The shuttle service is nice but takes a long time depending on how busy the time of day, you have to plan on at least 20 minutes wait, not there fault but just so you know.

Edelweiss Review

Always grateful to have a roof over my head with friends and family. Blessed to have stayed in other similar ski areas in a multi-family home. This home, while it met our needs, was okay considering the price. The main kitchen is very tight and hard to operate in with multiple people trying to get things done. Main living room was tight too. Thankfully the upstairs landing provided additional seating for guests. The downstairs area was good for the kids/teenagers to sleep and hangout. Received complaints the hot tub had an unusual smell; not chlorine. I never inspected it closely but heard this from several family/friend members. The parking was great! Enough room for 6 cars to get in and out. View off the back deck was grand.
