DO NOT STAY HERE!! Roach infested and dirty!

We chose this place for its proximity to downtown Ottawa because we were coming to town to hike at Matthiessen. We finally get to the apartment and were horrified. Not only did it not look like the pictures, we walked into not only spiderwebs but roaches everywhere! Dead ones, live ones. Scattered about. Not to mention spiders, millipedes, rolly bugs, just all kinds of dead and alive bugs everywhere. Not only that, there was gross old food in the sink, and the dishes were all dirty. I am not a high maintenance person. But this was horrific. Also, this apartment is right next to the train tracks. If you want to sleep with cockroaches and be woken up at 530am to the sound of a train right outside the bedroom, definitely book this place!! Note: the only reason we did not cancel the reservation was bc we didn’t arrive until after midnight and it was way too late by then. Also, the host asked for photos of the bugs, etc, and i said im happy to send them. Asked her for her email address and she never replied. It’s a shame VRBO doesn’t let me upload the photos to my review. Just terrible experience for my first time using VRBO, and very bad hosts.

Simple and clean place to stay.

Very nice and clean apartment. Both rooms were perfect for we needed lots of closet space and storage and a nice bed to sleep on. Good amenities and everything worked well. Only small issue we had was bathroom door didnt latch closed bit we used the matt to hold it shut and worked for us. Kitchen was nice and everything worked well and they had a nice little dining table for us. Over all great place to unwind and enjoy time not spent out and about with the family.

Great

Clean and spacious..with washer, dryer and basic kitchen needs and a great pod coffee pot!! Close to downtown🙂. Only down side was train across the street...so bring ear plugs and or sound machine for bedtime..didn't bother me but might others.

Ottawa stay

The unit we were assigned was not the unit pictured in photos. The bathroom door and frame were damaged in bathroom so you could not shut the door!! I reached out to the host regarding these issues and she was aware door would not close and stated they were going to fix it at a later date. The unit was not fininshed, lacked smoke detectors and provided minimal comfort. The couch was cheap and very uncomfortable and the washclothes provided were stained and nasty. Would not recommend this place.

Very clean and neat

The place was not accurately depicted as shown in pictures. There was no fire detector or fire extinguisher as the stove was gas. No outside pictures shown as this was actually located in an apartment building. Plenty of closet space, however no hangers. No complimentary hair dryer, ironing board or iron. Kitchen did not include and hand towels or dish clothes Bathroom door did not close. Would not recommend this place for more than an overnight stay
