Welcome to our Downtown Dwelling! This home is located 4 blocks from Washington Park in the heart of downtown Ottawa. Enjoy your day hiking the trails and seeing the beautiful waterfalls at Starved Rock State Park, then come back and take a short stroll downtown to enjoy the numerous festivities and restaurants Ottawa has to offer!

This house is cozy and comfortable, being roughly 600 square feet total. It offers a full sized kitchen, with everything needed to cook a family dinner. Beautifully remodeled bathroom with stand-up, walk-in shower. We offer a queen size bed with ample storage for clothes and a dedicated work space for traveling workers. In the living room we offer a queen sized pull out couch with a 55 inch TV and plenty of games for the kids.

Although we are pet friendly, we do require a one time pet fee of $85.

We love sharing our home with all our guests. However, due to prior disrespectful renters and property damage we will only accept booking requests from:
-- Renters who are above the age of 22.
--Renters who will be staying during the reservation and are not booking for someone else.
--Renters who have less than 5 star reviews.

Our home is located in the heart of downtown Ottawa. With this location, comes train noise. We are right next to an abandoned train track, which should not provide any noise. However, we are about 3 blocks from an active train track. Whistles may be heard every few hours throughout the day and night. They are faint but still may be noticeable if you are not used that kind of noise. We do provide a noise machine and earplugs for guests who may be light sleepers.

Fabulous Downtown Experience

Matt and Steph provide a wonderful "Home away from home! This is our 2nd visit and it was even better than our 1st. Location is perfect for enjoying downtown Ottawa and provides a great base for visiting nearby cities. We look forward to visiting in the fall!!!

Cute little place to walk downtown

Simple little home with all you need. Nice tall shower head and good water pressure, comfortable bed. Easy walk to downtown Ottawa.

Comfy House close to Starved Rock!

This was a perfect place for my girlfriend my dog and I to stay for a little weekend getaway! We went to Starved Rock for the first time and wanted to be close and this was exactly where we wanted to be distance wise (about 15 or so minutes away). We stayed for two nights and the bed and couch were both very comfortable. Check in was easy and the host had a very thought out and detailed binder to help with questions we had about the house as well as information about parks/restaurants in the area! Communication was great before and after our stay and the price was fantastic for everything you get. If you’re looking to go to any parks in the area this is a perfect place to stay. Thank you again!

Perfect sport for a SR getaway

Loved this little house—it’s definitely on the smaller side but it’s well equipped and VERY clean. Definitely one of the cleanest places I’ve ever stayed. It’s a short hike downtown and even though the neighborhood itself is pretty quiet and there is a weird lack of sidewalks, we had a great time walking downtown to shops and restaurants. Short drive to the parks and happy that we could bring our pets. We would definitely stay here again.

We were looking for a place near Starved Rock and found this great house! We loved how close we were to the downtown. The house itself was so cute! Very modern and welcoming. The hosts communicated with me thoroughly! Highly recommend.

Comfort and Style

Great little place. Very clean and modern with lots of amenities. The owners are fantastic and respond almost immediately. Locstio. Is great and close to trails as well as the downtown area. Its definitely worth another visit.

Everything We Needed!

The location was great! We were able to walk to multiple restaurants, coffee shops, and bars. The house was also perfect. Kuerig and tea were a nice touch. Owner was really responsive when we had a wifi issue and even offered to stop by. Only downside was the couch. Its meant to be a pullout and isnt very comfy to relax on. We would stay here again for sure.

We were coming into town for the weekend for a wedding and needed a last minute place to stay that was pet friendly. This home was perfect for our needs. It was exactly as listed. Location was close to everything, neighborhood was quiet, house was clean. The owners were very responsive and nice. If we had the need we would definitely stay at this house again. The interior is very clean and modern and the house itself is located very near to just about everything you could want in Ottawa and just a 20 minute drive to Starved Rock. The owners were very friendly and responsive. Overall it was a fantastic experience!

Cozy comfy little house

Had a very nice stay. House is in a quiet area but just a few blocks to downtown. About a 15-20 min drive to Starved Rock. Property was very clean and comfortable. There is a nearby train track and you can occasionally hear the train honking, but it was not that loud. (And don't worry it's not the train tracks right next to the house. Those are not in service.) Owners are very responsive and nice. Would definitely stay again!
