The living room serves as the perfect gathering space for families or friends to unwind and reconnect. Complete with a Sony TV 65'', it offers a cozy atmosphere for relaxation after a day of adventure. The fully equipped kitchen and dedicated dining area ensure that mealtime is a breeze.

Awesome Spot

This home is wonderful and plenty of space for a family to use. The location is incredible and easy to grab an uber or Lyft or a quick walk to the corner and jump on a scooter or e-bike. The home is spacious and clean with WiFi to unwind after a long day. Will be back next year.

Served our purpose, did not exceed expectations

We stayed in the back house for 2 nights. It is cute & clean and we had no major issues. As someone who has stayed in hundreds of luxury short term rentals, there are always things that could be done to make your stay a bit more comfortable. I have never experienced one that didn’t provide what I consider basic necessities; hand towels, face towels, kitchen towels—so we brought our own. I know ‘environmental reasons’ are stated, but I will still need to wash my towels so same amount of water is used—I think these owners are just very frugal, trying to save on water bills. The living room rug was oddly turned upside down, exposing the plastic-like backing, likely to avoid having to replace it (if stained/damaged). A cracked vase in the bathroom was taped instead of replaced and the kitchen cabinets were pretty bare—no seasonings, oil or cooking basics (only salt). There are dishes, glasses and pots & pans, though. The 2nd garage was available to us and although our large SUV probably would have fit inside, the angle to get in was tricky with limited space to maneuver, so street parking was just easier. No extra blankets or pillows were provided in the closets. But all in all, we had the basics and it felt clean & safe and looked cute, so it worked for us for our quick stay. No frills, but I would still recommend this property, as long as you know that going in and are ok bringing your own hand towels or using paper towels (which is not as environmentally friendly).

Terrible management, nice house

Can’t review this listing directly, as we were moved to a different unit on the same property without an updated booking. Here’s what I can tell you: The property management was unorganized and uncommunicative. We talked to multiple people who all seemed confused about what house we were supposed to stay in and what our instructions for getting into the house were. It took multiple phone calls and texts to sort it out when we arrived. They also lied to us directly about why we were moved to the other property. They claimed a water leak was the reason, but in fact a family was staying there. So either we were double booked or we were bumped to accommodate someone else. The family was nice and worked out parking with us, but being lied to about it to me is unacceptable. They also did an insufficient job of stocking the house we did stay in (not enough toilet paper for the group for the full stay, empty salt and pepper containers, no hand towels etc). And the ac unit in the main living space did not work (the bedroom units did work but was only helpful in the evenings). And the only fire alarm in the house very obviously had the battery removed and didn’t work. The neighborhood was friendly and quiet and a nice walk to the beach. And the house itself was perfect for the group and we had very little issues once all of the confusion died down. But overall I would not want someone else to book the space without knowing the issues we had with management.

Last Minute Cancellation by Host

Unfortunately, I can’t review this property because the host canceled our Memorial Day long weekend 3-night reservation less the evening before we were due to arrive due to “work being done on the house” that wasn’t finished leaving us (2 families) SCRAMBLING to find new accommodation (we were heading to Long Beach for our daughters’ volleyball tournament). We found a hotel luckily, more expensive of course.

Spiders INSIDE everywhere & Terrible Customer Service

We have rented through VRBO for years & in many states & have never encountered any real habitability issues until this property. We arrived late & were immediately greeted by a large spider on the front door. We had no idea what was in store, but no problem, we brushed it off & went in. It was hot & stuffy inside - not terrible or main issue but not welcoming. We went upstairs to put stuff in the primary bedroom & found a 2nd large brown spider - ON THE BED!! We got rid of it, go back downstairs to immediately find another (3rd) large spider on the living room wall!! It's getting gross, but still we are semi-ok. Everyone is exhausted & we start making something to eat & deciding which rooms we will use. We go in to the second bedroom my daughter plans to sleep in & find "silverfish" bugs crawling across the floor & yes - another (the 4th) large spider on the wall! We kill it, calm her down & proceed to move her into the 3rd bedroom where she & her brother will sleep...untill, you guessed it - we see ANOTHER large spider on that room wall too! The 5th spider in an hour! We had children & a pet with us so safety was an immediate concern. We tried communicating with the owner & they were slow to respond & inflexible in trying to create a reasonable resolution. We ended up leaving this spider property after only being there ~2 hours (& yes, finding more bugs in the dining area, unusable garage, & hair all over bathroom). The Owner/Property Manager has been terrible to work with.
