Vrbo ended up coming through and paying for a hotel after we couldn't get a hold of the owner. I would keep searching.

So disappointing

The property in itself is great. Beautiful house in West Hollywood. But here were the issues: no china, no glasses, no silverware in the kitchen. We were 8 people and we had to go out every night because we could not eat in. This was an expense that we were not planning on having. The next day we realized that we had stained sheets in one of the bed…. I emailed the host (not he owner but a managing company)… telling him about everything and asking to talk to him. He never called me emailed me back a few days later and saying that I would have everything I needed. The china and silverware (but no glasses ever came) came in on the 5th night of a 7th day stay and a clean set of sheet on the 6th night. I am sorry to say that I would never stay there again even though the house is great. It was very disappointing to say the least!

Not as advertised, buyer beware

We arrived at check-in, and the home was dirty. No cleaners had been. We tried to reach the host, but he was unreachable for 6 hours. We found garbage, mouldy coffee, dirty bed sheets with hairs and marks, and filthy furniture. There were real estate brochures all along the kitchen and dining area. The patio and pool looked like it had been trashed compared to the advertised photos. I had asked the host upon booking if these photos represented the listing, and I was told they did. They DO NOT. The photos are from a recent real estate listing. We had to wash the patio furniture covers to sit on them. We had to clean the pool ourselves. The patio furniture on the top deck is falling apart. We had to tighten screws to keep them together. Two fire detectors were beeping, so I had to replace the batteries. The furniture is all heavily stained and not cared for. It's a shame that this house hasn't been looked after; it's in a great part of town and has a nice overall feel. It needs some TLC. The host has ignored all communication since sending cleaners the following morning. I have not received any kind of compensation for this loss. Buyer beware
